Forum Post: Solidarity tattoo

I am a vegan tattoo artist and I am offering a tattoo design inspired by my activism at OWS and as a symbol of unity to those who want it. I am offering it at the minimum cost my shop will allow. It is the eye of the pyramid with a dagger going through the eye. The dagger has a heart on the end of the hilt. This is meant to convey that love will ultimately trumph evil. Anyone interested in this tattoo can contact me via ashleythomastattoos.net - but i am offering the design for free to anyone to use - bring it to whatever tattoo artist you wish or use it for wheat pastes, whatever. United we can live in the world we dream of instead of being forced to imagine it - much love! <3

so, is it alright if I post the image here, and link back to your site?

It will look like this:

that's perfect! I just couldn't figure out how to post this with the image the first time i posted it.

Note: the end of the dagger has a heart on the end of the hilt in my revised drawing.

If you save the current version with a new name, then upload the heart hilt with the present name, it will appear here.

All I did was point at the image file on your server. So whatever image you have with that file name is what appears here.

And it's clickable!

How about a poster?

[-] 2 points by thefutureisunwritten (12) 12 years ago

a poster would be awesome! use the design for whatever you like, or if anyone needs me to jump in and design one i can do that to, just tell me where to send the design :)

Or some stickers?

[-] 1 points by thefutureisunwritten (12) 12 years ago

All of that would be great, I'll see what I can do!

Because some of us are broke.

I totally understand - I offered it as a tattoo because that's my trade, but the design is more important, and any way that people want to use it, modify it etcetera, if it helps spread the message around, then that's awesome in my book.

Sorry, didn't mean to divert from your tattooing, my apologies if I derailed your post.

[-] 1 points by thefutureisunwritten (12) 12 years ago

no worries! not derailed - you improved on the idea :)

Veganism is a worldview that extends beyond what you eat. The tattoo process and products used traditionally are not vegan in that they can contain animal byproducts as well as some other toxic substances - using the word "tard" is pretty offensive and derogatory, i wonder what it is that you're doing on this site - i don't think "tard" embodies the viewpoints of OWS.

i don't think "tard" embodies the viewpoints of OWS

actually it does - primarily as it regards trolls.

shit.tards to be precise.

I just made that up. See? I work with ink too . . . .

And once you've seen the post with the image link, if you disapprove of the use, I will delete the comment.
