They take turns but they do their duty. Primary focus is to prevent people from uniting together. Masterful ongoing show keeping almost everything evenly divided, with the other side to blame for lack of progress.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

91% sounds unified
tax the rich sounds unified ( more Ds in the house & senate ) repeal ACA sounds unified & assinine

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

It's simple. All we need is more dems in the house and senate. I thought the large corps were in control. The show must go on.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

91% seem united on background checks!

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

Right. Explain why all 8 repubs voted against the bill?

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Because they are in the pocket of the gun profiteers and so they put gun profits ahead of people?

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

Thank goodness the dems would never act like that. lol

Gun profits is a good answer though I believe it's more complex.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Do tell. Educate me! What is so complicated about this background check vote.?

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

Maybe the repubs knew the vote would be 10 to 8. They might find this no vote useful to get reelected. It's a very good show.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Repubs definitely were thinking of reelection because the want the gun profits from the gun manufacturers as campaign contributions. At the very least they don't want their competition to get that money.

If only we had a billionaire willing to open his wallet against this gun profit slaves.

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

I'd prefer a different kind of change in our political process.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Yeah! What change would you prefer.

[-] 1 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

A transparent, accountable government that daily affirms to govern at the consent of the governed.

When all 8 repubs vote aginst something that 91% of Americans want, they are assuming their spin show will continue to work in the future. It will unless this absurd process is changed.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

I agree. Our system is broken. Real change must come.

I understand someone is working on real direct democracy, horizontal with ground up power.

I'm for that. Do you have a plan of action I could lend my support to?

[-] 0 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

The Revolution is LOVE! Be a part of it!

[-] 2 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

That's easy. "I'm a lover, & I'm a sinner, sure don't want to hurt no one" SM

Having accomplished that I also fight for the 99% by agitating ALL pols to support change that benefits the 99%.

Is that allowed in your master plan of love?

[-] -2 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

The gov is trafficking weapons all over the globe, creating instability. Why on earth would they care what happens here?

Keeping the votes close and the elections close is what keeps people believing. And believing is the key of any power center.

[-] 1 points by windyacres (1197) 11 years ago

Even though I wasn't awake yet, the Irag/Iran war was an amazing thing to watch. Just before the army of Iraq reached Tehran, the US switched from helping the Iraq army, to helping the army of Iran, who then pushed the army of Iraq almost to Baghad. The US provided just enough help to prevent either from winning the war. Just one of many examples.

Now I wonder if our military leaders are actually happy that Syrians are killing each other, as they probably were during the Libyan war.

[-] 0 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

AUMF (Authorization for Use of Military Force) the bill that permitted the President to wage war on all 911 related terrorists and supporters, passed both houses of Congress with just one dissenting vote, Rep. Barbara Lee from California in 2001.

They may disagree on the small guns, but they're in complete agreement when it comes to the big guns.

[-] 2 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Action Alert: If you care about this then support her effort to repeal.

Signed!

This bill is co sponsered by 4 Dems Conyers, Ellison,Grijalva, & Edwards,

Is that meaningful. Is this a difference between the parties.

Do you think the repub controlled foreign relations committee will allow a vote.

[-] 2 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

I think partisanship will prevent people from seeing the truth and cause them to support injustice.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

But it's ok to identify and support the pols who support this repeal right? Who knows maybe a repub will support it.

You think?

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Barbara Lee the Dem? Who just introduced a repeal of AUMF?

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 11 years ago

Barbara Lee the representative who introduced the repeal of the AUMF in 2011.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Is there a new bill to repeal? HR 198?

the dead civilians and soldiers from these wars know no difference.

While the 2 main corrupt political parties are indeed different on many issues, like the one you have linked to, they are both still corrupt.

As apparent by war, TARP, failure to prosecute and split up banks, and the unchecked corporate takeover.

How much in bribes did they accept from corporate lobbyists and corporations in the past 4 elections?

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Is there a difference between the parties regarding raising wages for the poor,? how about increased taxes on the Rich.?

And what about strong regulations on the banks?

Any difference there? That is what matters!

[-] 0 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

HI VQ! Having fun on your several accounts it seems. How many do you have now? I've seen you talk to yourself on the forum too. What's that about? Just bumping your own threads or what?

Whatever excuses you need to make to allow wars based on lies and giving trillions to banks that buy our government and destroy our economy.

I don't play your version of nationalism.

The dead of war know no difference. Frauds need to be replaced in all parties and the parties need to be dissolved.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

I suppose your weakness of position prevents you from answering the questions and addressing the thread topic.

Instead (as your RW lobby group paymasters have instructed you) you distract with unrelated dishonest personal attacks.

Is there a difference between the parties regarding raising wages for the poor,? how about increased taxes on the Rich.? And what about strong regulations on the banks?

Let's agree to support ALL pols who support these important tenets of our agenda.

Or you can lie about me talking to myself. Never done, or multiple accounts. I use inclusionman.

Don't be afraid. The truth will set you free.

[-] -1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

Have fun voting for the next warmonger who gives billions to banks because they were advertised on tv.

I don't sacrifice my morals for those who work for war and the banks.

12 years of war and counting! Trillions given to banks! Thanks 2 party system!

[-] 0 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Stop acting like a 12 year old. We are all against war.

Put your money where your mouth is!!

Take action like the rest of us.

Sign a petition,

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/03/10/1193059/-Repeal-AUMF-the-blank-check-for-war

march, join an anti war group, Most of all acknowledge the real difference between the pols who are fighting for change and those fighting against change.

http://thinkprogress.org/security/2013/03/12/1701931/house-democrats-demand-answers-from-obama-on-drones/

Stop pushing the RW lobby paymaster lie that ALL pols are the same.

That is just RW false equivalency propaganda!!!

[-] -1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

These politicians are not against war. I do not support pro war politicians.

I do not sacrifice my morals to vote for people who are going to bomb a foreign country and then give billions to Goldman sachs. I do not come up with excuses to support people doing these things either. This is called manufacturing consent.

THE DEAD OF WAR KNOW NO DIFFERENCE OF POLITICAL PARTY

Feel free to use your other accounts to stalk and downvote my comments like you do to so many people on here.

[-] 0 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Vote? What are you talking about.? What election are you referring to? The next one is 2 years away.

The election is over. Your Right wing lost.

Forget politics, partisanship. If you are against war as you claim Please support this new effort to repeal AUMF.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/03/10/1193059/-Repeal-AUMF-the-blank-check-for-war

Are you objecting to voting for pols because you are trying to desperately distract from responding to this call to action.

You refused my last petition to call for protests against war in Iran, as well as the petition/march against nuke weapons too.

Whats that about.?

We need you. Support ALL pols efforts to repeal AUMF!!

[-] -1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 11 years ago

I support voting. I support voting for the people who do not work for war and the banks. Huge difference and your partisan rhetoric blinds you from understanding this.

I already commented about the AUMF on your other user name's post. So you already know my stance on this. Not to mention while you were denying that you were VQ we talked about the NDAA and AUMF on your InclusionMan account as well. Your losing your mind with all these user names. Who are you? LOL

[-] 0 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Support Occupynewengland. They also support this NEW effort.

Forget your personal hatred for me. Disregard theRW lobby group you linked to.

http://occupynewengland.org/tag/hr198/

[-] 0 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Liar!! More weak desperate distractions. I ain't asking for your opinion, or what your stance is.

I am telling you: We ain't talkin about voting. So put that partisan electioneering/campaigning aside, thank you very much.

I am further pleading with you to put your money where your mouth is (see I know what you claim) by signing this NEW petition that you and I have NOT spoken about.

Ok.? ALL dishonest distractions dismissed, & debunked.

C'mon, if you really wanna show your anti war position, support this important effort.

The innocent victims of war call out to you. WE NEED YOU!!!

[-] -2 points by trulyamazingOWStruthseer (-23) 11 years ago

VQ - Do you really believe in petitions, especially online ones?

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

We have had great success with petitions when comined with numerous large scale marchs, and strikes, and boycotts, and other civil disobedience.

I believe in any and all non violent tactic that will educate one more person, that might excite one new super activist.

All efforts contribute to the growing number of progressive people & groups that will eventually be so large we will overrun the 1% money machines and take back the corrupt government.

Don't you believe that?

[-] -2 points by trulyamazingOWStruthseer (-23) 11 years ago

Don't you believe that?

VQ - You haven't shown why I should give petitions a second look. What you've done is try to show the worthiness of petitions by placing it in the same sentence as time tested methods like large scale marches, strikes, boycotts and other civil disobedience.

We don't have time for everything in life. We need to make choices. Why should I spend time on petitions. Can you show me some change they have caused?

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

Why? You aren't serious. There is lot's of success stories on line. Use Google search.

ALL efforts are of great value. ALL non violent tactics are embraced. All strategies by definition add to the ranks of our progressive army because every petition grabs some people who have NEVER gotten involved. It is a 1st easy step to nurture a long term more involved individual. And ALL have the potential of exciting a super activist that can then therefore excite many others.

And that is just the fundamental nature of any tactic. Great potential to contribute growth.

That does not include the many successes individual petitions have of course achieved. But you can do that with your google search.

Good luck!

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I think petitions can have a significant impact, but only when hand delivered to the target with press around.

[-] -1 points by OTP (-203) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Background checks wont stop what is causing this violence.

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

So you're against common sense gun safety regulations. too?

Universal background checks are our best chance of keeping guns from criminals. So imposing real universal background checks absolutely will reduce the violence.

What do you suggest?
