Forum Post: Do we as a movement have legal counsel?

Now that we have a big pot of money (more than 500k at last count), are we concerned that some citizens who have family victims that have died because of lack of NYPD presence in other parts of the city will sue us along with the city of New York? A lawyer friend of mine that supports our cause brought this to my attention. He noted that even if those plantiffs would fail in court, if we did not have representation to show up, we would be even more liable.

Has this been addressed?
