I just saw on Current TV that the democrats dropped the demand for a millionaires sur-tax. I am becoming more and more convinced that both parties are under full control of the 1% and they are scared-to-death to oppose them. I am also very concerned that our once great nation has become a corporate state and we are at the point of no return.

There's no question that both parties are under full control of the 1%. I would like to see Occupy movements respond rapidly to events of this kind: Occupy offices of the caving Democrats. Go to the caves where they cave!

I think our only hope is in this movement, but it may take a Revolution. There are very very few politicians whom I trust. Bernie Sanders of Vermont is one of them.

And it's important to support Sanders's proposed amendment to get money out of politics. Lawrence Lessig's "Republic Lost" provides the grim details.

Yes, that is an important step for all of us to take. Bernie's amendment petition email address is http://sanders.senate.gov/petition. Please forward the message.

Of course they did, why would they want to further tax themselves.
