Thank you, Nev1, for the article. I just read about this a month or two ago on the Natural News website and it appears to be far more widespread than originally thought. Just when you thought you'd heard it all, another scandal hits the airwaves. I shudder to think of what might be next.
I was going to say this is nothing to do with the 1% or our struggles. But it occurred that this is a symptom of money. As long as we use money, this will happen. Put up another point for the Venus Project.

I heard something on the radio yesterday - can't remember which Mexican (?) fast food franchise that it was about - but the quick mention said that they don't list meat in their list of ingredients - just list undisclosed type of protein - protein appears on the list but not what kind.
Remember us talking a while ago about the rumor that Chinese restaurants use engine oil in cooking because of its higher flash point? From the NY Times article:

Hmmm, I guess it's not much of a stretch after all, eh?
Disgusting as it is to consider - NO not too much of a stretch to consider - NOT AT ALL!!! Especially when one considers such things as GMO crops producing their own pesticides/poisons - which are then as a matter of course included into the food chain.
And now apparently the Bt toxin can alter the DNA of your gut bacteria, meaning even if you stop eating GM foods today, your system may be permanently altered. Wait, what thread are we on? heheheh
Information like this bears repeating and spreading every chance we get.
No protection for the consumer paying for all this, as Monsanto people hold high positions with FDA and USDA.
True, for the time being. We've been the lab rats in a twenty-year experiment and I believe the test results are now coming in. And it ain't looking good for the rats.

I'll have to check out that link from David King and see what became of it last year. I saw the first page when I posted it, but didn't dig deep enough to see how it turned out.
They just gotta try and play god - being told they can't clone was not enough ( you knew it would not be ) they have to be told to desist on trying to change the human gene.
I just had a quick look on that link and apparently there's been no ruling from the British government that I can see. The public's view has been submitted. I guess it's now a waiting game.
I can't see the public sitting back on the idea ( if they are made aware of it that is ) - look at the outrage cloning got.
Oh yeah, I'd be willing to bet the public voiced a strong opposition to this. Now let's hope the government listens to the people in this case. If it were the US I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope. Let's hope Cameron's not as big a sell-out as our guy.
