Call on President Obama to investigate Wall Street
Hey,
Wall Street is eager for a sweetheart settlement deal with state attorneys general and the Obama administration that would get them out of being investigated for the misdeeds that led to our financial collapse.
We need to stop that deal -- but we also need President Obama to take the lead and launch the investigation.
I just signed Progressives United and MoveOn's petition to President Obama to order a full federal investigation of potential Wall Street misdeeds today.
For far too long, Wall Street has received a blank check from Washington. They got bailed out after they gambled our economy into a recession, and they lobbied hard to make sure that regulation was too weak to prevent another crash.
So without an investigation, homeowners can't get fair compensation, and Wall Street will have no reason to stop skewing the playing field against the 99%.
It's the president’s choice: He has the power to order this investigation today, and we have the power to pressure him to do it.

Why This Is Important
Adding environmental education to The Lorax movie website is important because this is the message of the book and it should be honored. Dr. Seuss wanted people to be inspired by The Lorax to help the environment. Currently, the movie website, trailer, and story summary have no mention of helping our planet! This is a missed opportunity. There are big problems in our natural world and we need more and more people helping out.

Please know The Lorax has power and that this movie could start a movement of kids helping the planet. The movie website and promotions should do what the book does and help the planet. This is possible with a few simple changes such as adding a “Lorax Tips” button.

Hey bro, ive seen inside job. In the movie note how the wall street players were doing, using corporate funds for $1000 to $1600 prostitutes, cocaine parties,etc, using corporate money. The madam of the services said they had around 10,000 clients, most of which used corporate money. The crimes were many and no one gets held accountable. This could only be because both political parties denied the justice system from investigating and charging people for crimes. I see what you see bout the repub's but the democrats have helped this mess with things like free trade, lack of accountability for wall street, etc. Look at congressional insider trading, thats both parties that wants and intend to keep it that way. Even though the repelicans are worse, its both that needs to change to work for the people, not wall street and corporations.
I agree that corruption exists on both sides of the aisle, but only one of them makes that corruption and corporate collusion a matter of party policy and ideology.

We will see . . . I would note that with the Supreme Court decision Citizens United, the President may have had little option but to take the money for advertising purposes.
If enough of us agitate, I am sure that we can prevail on the President not to allow the perception that their contributions were simply protection money. His own reputation is at stake.
