Forum Post: "You think we'd be involved with these countries if their lead export was broccoli?"

Below are questions often asked by men and women involved in war

• What are my chances of being wounded or killed?

• What does it feel like to get shot?

• What do artillery shells do to you?

• What is the most painful way to get wounded?

• Will I be afraid?

• What could happen to me in a nuclear attack?

• What does it feel like to kill someone?

• Can I withstand torture?

• What are the long-term consequences of combat stress?

• What will happen to my body after I die?

There is no reason to still be at war in the name of peace. These wars need to end. What the troops are being put through is not fair. And they want to continue through 2014? Not fair. Not right.

These wars are still going on because of plans made years ago that are still underway, for the war profiteers, and for control of resources.

Here's a question for you - "You think we'd be involved with these countries if their lead export was broccoli?"

Sadly there's no bigger business than The War Business! Oil, resources and geo-political intrigue are all deemed reasons for war in the US but The Only justifiable war is one fought in self-defense against direct attack. All else is b.s.! Occupy Peace!

It's funny, those are all things I've thought of anyway, Dad was an MP in Germany during and after WWII. Besides the thoughts of direct threat and harm, think of the following -- what can I withstand for what is right? What can I do for the common good? Am I leaving a legacy to be proud of? Physical threat in inherent in living. Psychological threat is everpresent. How strong are you? What is your legacy?

Yes but did you think of these questions because they were all more than possible scenarios?

They often ask these questions because they are a day to day possibility.

Ever been held at gunpoint? I have and more than once. Ever been shot at? I have.. Ever have a relative who was ill and phobic about the big boom? Again, I have. You envision everyone melting with them during their bouts. Ever been abused by a spouse? I have and got out when the Texas FBI contacted me about him. A good thing too. I have been through more but it's not to be aired in response to a challenge. The credos are true. Live your life as best as you can, do and be the good and the right because tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.

The administration signed an agreement with Afghans to supply security through 2024.

Oh so he wasn't talkin about the Obama Administration when he said "the administration"?

What admin was he talkin about?

And you're suggesting this consistently anti dem partisan was criticising the troop withdrawal, end of hostility agreement as anti war?

What is that a joke?. Are you in bizarro world?

You can believe his sorry ass. I know better.

Occupy Peace!

The corporate owned, banker financed, war machine 'admin' - I assumed but apparently you know better. Never Stop Reflecting On 'bizarro world'! Occupy Reality and Peace through simple truths.

Yeah he was talkin about the Obama Admins agreement from 7 months ago to end the Afghan debacle that the RW war mongers created.

I say protest all pols for early withdrawal in Afghan. He didn't mention last weeks Senate Vote where repubs defeated the senate effort to pull troops out NOW. Because that would reflect badly on repubs.

hchc is NOT a Republican, lol & unlike you, he's not a Democrat either, lolol. Occupy The Giggle :)

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Whatever he is I've seen him push much repub positions and engage in partisan attacks against dems while staying silent regarding repub complicity in given problems.

Like the afghan war. Criticism for the 7 mo old agreement to withdraw, but nothing about Senate repubs defeating the effort to withdraw sooner last week? Huh?

I am a registered independent. And I voted 3rd party right down the line, so I guess since you're wrong about me, you could be wrong about him.

Ooops left the lap top on here so before I log off, I'll say ok, I believe you but hchc is still not a republican but more Gary Johnson perhaps. Dr. Jill Stein would have got my vote but I'm in a swing state so had to hold my nose and vote democrap, lol. Occupy 3rd Party Candidates and Independents! Never Give Up! Peace.

We're importing 25 billion a year in fresh vegetables - at least half of our tomatoes are imported and virtually all of our french fries - does that answer your question? Just be thankful we're not dependent on vegetable oil and bio fuels.
