Nonsense. Show me any other document anywhere which so explicitly lays out the sovereignty of the people.
Democracy is like a sleeping bear. While the bear is sleeping the ticks, fleas and other parasites think they rule the day. OWS is the bear waking up. That's why the elites hate and fear us.
OWS -- an enraged and roused populace.
No need to reinvent the wheel. We need to take back our government and return it to constitutional principles. Those who oppose us are traitors to America.
Now, getting rid of the House of Lords (the Senate), maybe that would be nice . . .
The only way to take back our government is to have laws in the constitution protecting our great country from corruption not just for us but for our future generations.
Hmmm not quite right. We'll use your bear analogy though. The bear is the REAL populace who know they need to wake up and get busy. OWS is more like the parasites on the bear. They are annoying, and may help piss the bear off but mostly they are ignored because the don't really matter to the bear.

The Constitution was under attack before the ink had dried on that fabulous blueprint of checks and balances. Greed and lust for power always attempts to use governments to monopolize their unearned profits. And they have done a marvelous job, even though it's taken almost 2 and a half centuries of incremental violations of your representatives breaking their oath to OBEY and protect our Constitution.
It is incumbent on us to restore the Constitution by prosecution of the known offenders of both the traitorous representatives and the oligarchy of banksters and big corporate monopolists that bribe them through their special interest machines.

As for change there is nothing new in I want the government to change my diapers for me and the world owes me a living ideas on this board. You people have thought that way for the last 80 years.
