Everything is relative I guess. Republicans sure are a nasty bunch, but when one sees US from the outside, the Democrats also appear as a right wing party. The just look tame in comparison with Republicans. But, compare Democrats with left wing parties in other countries and they really are right wingers.

The problem is a lot of Americans use the evil of the Republicans to make the Democrats look good. Anything looks good compared to Republicans. You see this problem on this site a lot. People praising Obama because his party is not as bad as the Republicans. They forget OWS was started during Obama reign and that it was started by anarchists, not Democrats. But yeah, this site has become a Democrat site always pushing partisan politics. Republicans are no where near the ideals of OWS, but, actually, Democrats aren't either. They are right wingers too.
Personally, Democrats scare me more than Republicans. Republicans are just dumb and evil. Most people see right though them. Democrats are sneakier and a lot of OWS "supporters" get tricked by them. This is dangerous. It's easy to attack Republicans. It takes no effort since their evils are so damn obvious. It ends up leading nowhere. Attacking Obama on this site, well, that's not easy. The Obama water boys will be all over you. You can remind them that you're an anarchist and much further left than Obama will ever be, they don't get it.
If the Democrats were fantastic, we wouldn't need OWS.

Their biggest problem is they aren't as organized and lack things like SPN and ALEC.
There's no doubt Republicans are much worse than Democrats, but that does not mean Democrats are good. Both parties are bad for America. We need another system. Don't forget, OWS started when Obama was already in office. The protest is needed because Obama is not giving us what we want which are fair and effective social programs for all.
A Dem cut my taxes and made them permanent by way of the State constitution.

If you like the Democrats so much, why take part in a protest that is against them as well as being against Republicans, and all political parties? Occupy is anti-establishement. Why not participate on a Democrat website instead? It seems to me you have a lack of integrity. Are you for OWS, or for the Democrats? You can't have it both ways. Obama is corrupted by the 1% just as much as Romney.

Again, being better that Republicans doesn't mean being good. It mans little at all. You shouldn't compare Obama to the bottom of the barrel and then give accolades if he's floating a tad above. You should compare him to what would be fair and just for the whole populace.

I don't think there is an equivalent to how evil the Republicans are, but, unlike you, I don't think this means Obama is doing a great job and that the Democrats are a good party. Comparing to the bottom of the barrel leads to nowhere. You need to compare to the greatest heights you can imagine. And, the Democrats are nowhere near that greatest height I imagine. It's 2013, great amazing things could be done with a proper political system. Obama does not offer that, hence the OWS anti-Obama protests.

You can hate corrupt politicians, greedy corporations and a rigged Wall Street. But to hate tens of millions of people because of their political and social views just makes things worse. They are your friends, neighbors and co-workers. They have families, jobs and a life other than their political view. Yes, we should try to change their views, but name calling doesn’t do anything.
