They (Cons) are saying amongst themselves that Mitt was not conservative enough.

AND:

Almost Half of GOP Voters: ACORN Stole It Again!

(Never mind they don't even exist anymore! They stole it anyway!)

It was bad enough when a majority of Republicans were so disinformed after the 2008 election that they thought ACORN stole the election (almost 10 million votes, apparently) for Barack Obama.

Now that ACORN is no more (since early 2010), the massive disinformation campaign that Republicans have been suckered into believing seems to continue nonetheless. Just under a majority of self-identified GOP voters think the non-existent ACORN stole the election again this year for Obama! Those tricky non-existent bastards, apparently, somehow stuffed the ballot box 5.5 million times and never got caught even once!

From Public Policy Polling today, who note that Republicans are "not handling election results well"...

"49% of GOP voters nationally say they think that ACORN stole the election for President Obama. We found that 52% of Republicans thought that ACORN stole the 2008 election for Obama, so this is a modest decline, but perhaps smaller than might have been expected given that ACORN doesn't exist anymore."

It should be noted, for any of those duped Republicans who may be reading this, that there is no evidence, none, zero, nada, that any vote has ever been stolen in any election either by ACORN or via one of the bad voter registrations submitted by one of its workers (bad registrations which were almost all discovered by ACORN themselves and turned in, along with the rogue worker who submitted them, to authorities.)

For those stooges who are still unconvinced, because they read something somewhere on the Internet about "voter fraud" in 2012, we dispatched with the most popular "massive voter fraud" myths of 2012 over the weekend right here.

Finally, as if all of that isn't pathetic enough, PPP has more sad news for a party which now seems intent on disappearing itself entirely...

I didn't see "they were (are) fucking god damn crazy." Did I miss it?

could this be why?

[-] 2 points by ARod1993 (2420) 11 years ago

The most likely outcome I'd like to see out of this is the following:

-The Republican Party continues its dance into irrelevancy until they basically become a regional Southern party incapable of holding thirty or more Senate seats or more than 30ish percent of the House.

-The Democrats move slightly further right on the economy and become a bit more hawkish and authoritarian than they currently are on balance (the last of the displaced moderates and assorted sane people have to go somewhere, right?).

-The leftmost 40% or so of the Democratic Party splits off and joins the Progressives, forming a party slightly bigger on balance than the Republicans that believe in, among other things:

-Single-payer healthcare

-Strong regulation of the financial markets and big business in general

-A return to far more progressive income tax rates

-A return to major public funding for sustainable energy R&D and implementation of resulting technologies

-A return to pre-PATRIOT Act conceptions of privacy and civil liberties.

The Republicans would eventually fade out with many of their members joining the right wing of the Democrats, while the leftmost end of the new Democratic Party would become our new block of swing voters, creating the Seventh (or Eighth, depending on who's counting) Party System with Democrats and Progressives being the Big Two.

true enough, but we could change those first two..

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

You are too generous
the Rs have lies and ignorance in their blood
I know this sounds almost racist -
but they are the ones who support trickle down & privatization
and they just "voted" in a poll that 49% of the Rs believe that Obama won because Acorn stole the election.
They are the ones w ho beleive the world is 9000 years old & want to seceed
I would let them go - ASAP

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

you should read more of my stuff, really, I think I make a very strong case for killing the GOP, but I think you misunderstand my meaning, I think we can bring the fact that the GOP only works for the 1% to people minds and once we do the GOP is dead and with them gone we can split out the Warrens and Sanders and maybe get a actual people's party but first we must make room.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

Sorry, I wasn't clear - I do read a lot of your stuff
and I very much agree
2014 - get 50 more Ds in the house eliminate all voter supression stop the anti-union movemant

even moderate Ds would vote to restore GS if they knew they or their opponents would not get any money from the banksters

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

My God! Michigan has gone "right to work"

http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/06/us/michigan-labor-protests/index.html

We need National outlawing of "right to work" so that labor cost can raise.

[-] -2 points by lignite (-303) 11 years ago

Good for Michigan and it is a step "FORWARD"

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

http://occupywallst.org/forum/holy-crap-michigan-has-gone-right-to-work/

Come express yourself, but in the mean time consider this:

These are not right to works laws, real right to work laws would protect ALL your constitutional rights, you wouldn't have to give up your guns or quit smoking or pee in a bottle as a condition of employment.

[-] -1 points by slizzo (-96) 11 years ago

Rs lost because Ds have been in control of education/indoctrination for decades.

And because people want to be cool.

If only the GOP had run a competent businessman who was a specialist at turning around failing enterprises...

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

Tell that to Lewis Powell & the Heritage foundation or the 49% of Rs who believe that Acorn stole this election

[-] -1 points by john23 (-272) 11 years ago

They nominated a puppet of a human being that would say anything to get elected and the vast majority of americans didn't want that as their president.

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

Is that why so many new Ds are in the Senate?

just curious, what is a point of merit to you? and why doesn't this post meet your standard?

Way to stir up the idiot nest.

Why dont you see if the Dem headquarters could possibly give you a job, seems how you love these idiot L vs R games so much. At least then you could get paid to keep the same shit going, instead of wasting your time trying to coopt something that was founded by people who hate everything you represent.

and there is the leader

[+] -4 points by lignite (-303) 11 years ago

The voting was rigged and everyone knows it. Hundreds of thousands illegals were allowed to vote and thousands others got free gifts (obummer phone, etc) for their vote

[-] 2 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

and your proof is - with Obama's Kenyan birth certificate

[+] -4 points by lignite (-303) 11 years ago

Personally if he was born in Kenya then they would not admit it, since he is not like there either

[+] -5 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

the republicans didnt lose, voter fraud won.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

And your proof of voter fraud is?
My guess is that it may have something to do with the fact that 49% of Rs polled TODAY believe the election was stolen by ACORN
yes - that ACORN - that does not exist
They probably believe in bigfoot and ancient aliens too

[-] -1 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

a complete orchestrated fraud, from early voting to non registered voters, to rigged machines.

[-] 0 points by bensdad (8977) 11 years ago

You forgot that the tooth fairy and santa claus voted for Obama

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

So then you think that the new named Acorn stole the election for Obama?

[-] -1 points by BetsyRoss (-744) 11 years ago

I replied to bensdad that Acorn still exists. Period.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

But Acorn doesn't still exist. You lied to bensdad. It became a new organization

stop spending on the military
turn over medical insurance to the most cost effective - Medicare
On profits of $14,000,000,000 How much tax did GE pay in 2010?
What was their tax rate?
ZERO
Is that rate too high?
We should go back to the rates of prosperity under Clinton or Eisenhower

That's what I'm talking about man!! Generation Of Peace!!!

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

R's lost because they hate minorities, immigrants, women, the poor, the elderly, because they filibustered the jobs bill for vets, & today they defeated a treaty that helps the handicapped.

Their hate is destroying them as hate always does.

[-] -2 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

keep posting those dem taking points. it shows you profound lack of understanding OR your willingness to be a " useful idiot" or both. the dems thrive on their war on ,......fill in the blank. they are devisive. alwayas were , always wil be because of the inherent stupidity of their base.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

The dems did not force repubs to insult, attack all these groups of Americans, I don't have to be a democrat (registered independent) to recognize, racist, sexist, homophobic positions.

And guess what? The decent Americans who make up these groups also recognize those isms and that's why they voted your sorry ass repubs out of office.

Aaaaaaaahha ha ha ha,

[-] -3 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

the republican didnt attack nay "groups" you believe the dem talking points. low info voters believe propaganda. you included.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

You are in denial. But that is you & your parties misfortune. Some are trying to stop the attacks. Rubio "the earth is 4 1/2 billion yrs old". Jindel " we can't be the stupid party" (I like that one the best)

But enough are delusional like you so I think you have more losses ahead.

[-] -3 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

did rubio say the earth was 4.5 bil yrs old? party of stupid? the dems have water, boxer, lee, biden, grayson, franken, pelosi, reid, shultz, and that dem dimwit that said if there are too many people on an island it would tip over.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Never heard the island comment but the others are smart strong advocates for the 99%.

Proud to have 'em.

[-] 0 points by janus2 (-387) 11 years ago

it was congressman johnson of georgia who said that guam would tip over ( capsiize)if there were too many troops on it. as for the rest i listed,........nitwits, all of them. i asked you if rubio said that the earth ws 4,5 bil. yrs old. did he say it?

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Rubio did backtrack on his religious wacko pandering when he 1st said he didn't know how oldthe earth was, now he says it is 4.5 B yearsold.

Here's a right wing wacko link you might believe.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/12/06/Rubio-earth-4B-years

I did see something from almost 3 tears ago regarding the guam comment but what I saw said it was a metaphor.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong. You have got to have some brains up there. With the line that you follow, apparently line by line from the DNC platform, you would have made a great Jim Jones disciple. Pass the Kool Aid

[-] -3 points by highlander (-163) 11 years ago

Not pissed, I just don't agree with the cookie cutter description. It would be like stating all democrats want a welfare state with a permanent caste of helpless dependents

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You disagree with the posts list of actions that the corpoRATists followed in their scampaign? and subsequent loss?

[-] 1 points by highlander (-163) 11 years ago

Good question. Romney had his PAC. I honestly do not know the name of Obama's PAC, but he raised more money than Romney.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Google - see if there is a listing. I have heard it said that he got a lot of individual donations(?)

[-] 1 points by highlander (-163) 11 years ago

According to ABC news from Sept 20,2012 by Chris Good, Obama's super Pac was Priorities, USA. Romney's was Restore Our Future. The bottom line is both parties play the same game

[-] -2 points by slizzo (-96) 11 years ago

"The bottom line is both parties play the same game."

So true, but the DNC fanboys here don't want to hear that kind of reality. Stuck on stupid, they are sure there is some kind of profound difference between the two corporate-owned political parties.

But think of all the genius celebs who keep saying this. How can a 23 year old actress possibly be wrong?

If the government were to narrow the tax code to 1 page, take out deductons and levy a flat tax, then a lot of lobbyists would be out of work, on both sides of the aisle. Republicans have business lobbyists. Democrats have legal and environmental lobbyists

[-] 2 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 11 years ago

"Republicans have business lobbyists.": Profits First at all costs, Redistribution to the top 1%, who they cult worship.

"Democrats have legal and environmental lobbyists.": Striving for Truth, Justice and the American Way, in the Pursuit of Happiness and General Welfare for Posterity for the People and the World!

Tax reform in the context of RepubliCons promoting it now (whose lawyers created the current tax code mess), means leaving the Rich to pay as little as possible (record lows) and taking away needed tax breaks for the middleclass, whose spending can actual save our economy if they were not held HOSTAGE!!!

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You don't know ALEC.

You don't know kookie kutter legislation.

http://alecexposed.org/wiki/ALEC_Exposed

It's for all those highly brain lazy (dunk ass?) (R)epelican'ts that have no idea how to legislate, so they need their tiny hands held.

They need someone to write legislation for them, compliments of Paul Weyrich, and the Kochs. You know Paul? I know you know David and Charles, the owners and operators of modern libe(R)tarian ideology.

Anyway. It is what it is. Kookie Kutter legislation

http://www.democracynow.org/2012/9/27/the_united_states_of_alec_bill

There is no equivalent on the left and environmentalists could NEVER garner the kinds of funds of ALEC, even if it were a "lobby", which it isn't.
