What is the purpose here. I along with many others have been watching OWS unfold and most recently begin to fold back up. There was something good happening, a momentum the begginings of the possibility that some good might come out of the mess created by the powers that be in the past couple of decades. Will someone pease tell me and all of us for that matter Who, What Where and When anything will change. IRAQ is back! The economy is on edge although the stock market would never admit it. And we are about to put another Clinton or Bush in the Whitehouse again in a couple years time. For the sake of my 5 kids tell me what anyone is doing besides this crap?

When considering #OWS,we need to remember that this site, and indeed all of The Internets are constantly being monitored by hundreds of analysts whose task it is to formulate intelligence reports about #OWS.The reason for such reports is to attempt to discern the strategy of #OWS and then develop counterstrategies. That is the reason why you are not finding any sign of serious, concrete planning associated with #OWS.However,at this time, activists are doing things that are difficult for the surveillance apparatus to monitor.I would suggest to you that you start saving as much money as you can in the event that you and your family would like to participate in the inevitable buildup of protests in NYC or the eventual massive protests which will be the actual confrontation between We The People and the corrupt elites who have-Lo,These Many Years Ago-seized control of our government.Yes-the situation is urgent.I hope, for my own part,to be well prepared and there truly is no reason for us to hurry to our Destiny-just as our adversaries cannot outrun theirs.Envision a giant game of 5 card-you hold a full house.

While I agree the Internet, including this forum, are monitored by the Feds. I seriously doubt they focus on OWS any more other site. The feds are interested in finding potential terrorists, not people discussing social change. I’m pretty sure OWS isn’t a target by the feds.

As far as underground OWS planning and possible confrontations. If it’s happening at all it’s very small and inconsequential. To say it simply, there is no American spring. The American public won’t allow it.

. . . why & How . . .

History is happening in the U.S. Senate.

In two days, the amendment to overturn Citizens United and McCutcheon will get its first vote — in a key Senate subcommittee.

Extremists like U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz are, absurdly, trying to compare this historic movement to “muzzling” the legitimate free speech rights of everyday Americans like you and me.

Of course, the Founding Fathers never intended the First Amendment to enable billionaires and corporations to buy our elections.

Tell your senators — right now, before the vote — that money is not speech and our elections are not for sale.

The amendment is simple.

It would give We the People — through Congress as well as state and local governments — the power to regulate and limit campaign spending by the ultra-wealthy and mega-corporations.

In other words, it would prevent plutocratic forces like the Koch Brothers, Chevron and Comcast from buying our elections.

Make sure our senators hear the truth.

Email your senators today and urge them to support the amendment to restore our democracy.

This is our moment to revitalize the First Amendment and to elevate the voices of everyday people and real speech.

We must preserve this most basic understanding of democracy: People — not corporations, not plutocrats — rule.

Email your senators right now and tell them we need an amendment to save our democracy.

Living room by living room, town by town, state by state, we will build a nation that is truly of, by and for the people.

Onward,

I doubt anything will change anytime soon. In spite of OWS efforts, Tea Party efforts; and even Democrat and Republican efforts, there is no sign of change on the horizon. Not for liberals or conservatives.

The majority of Americans live comfortable and secure lives. They buy big screen TV’s by the millions, they subscribe to 500 channel cable networks, they buy the latest iPhones and buy the newest cool car they can afford. They pay more attention to football and basketball than to social issues. As long as people can have their pizza delivered and drink the coolest craft beer they are happy. We’ve had two wars where American lives were lost and it’s just a ten minute update on the nightly news for most people. The effects of war has not touched the masses.

People are self serving, they will not do anything to jeopardize their comfortable lives; and as long as the majority are secure no significant social or political change will occur. As I said earlier, only when people are personally affected by the mess will change occur. We have not yet reached a pain level for people to start caring and get involved.
