Forum Post: Who is "In Power"

Posted 12 years ago on April 21, 2012, 10 p.m. EST by alterorabolish1 (569)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

We've all discussed other countries and use the phrase, "in power", to describe a person or a group that's recognized as the leadership. Saddam Hussein was in power in Irag, Assad is still in power in Syria, etc. The USA was different, we don't have anyone "in power" because our government is of, by, and for the people, with three branches of government to prevent power grabs.

Has that changed? Is there now a person or group "in power" in the USA?

The real people in power are not necessarily the people we visually see such as the heads of state.

The real decision makers are the wealthiest of the wealthiest. The ones who like to stay out of the headlines whenever possible. We need to shine the lights on them. Here's just a few;

Soros

Kissinger

Bushes

Cheneys

Rumsfeld

Saudi Royals

Rothschilds

Rockefellers

Krupps

Merovingians

Gates

Duponts

Vanderbilts

Clintons

Windsors

Morgans

Astors

Schiffs

Bundys

Collins

Freemans

The Lis

Reynolds

Russells

Van Duyns

Shining the light on them is fine if it's part of a bigger goal to take power away from them and give it back to the people.

The whole world is watching to see if Americans wake up enough to realize we have a one party system and non violent revolution is now necessary.

Alternative News made by Americans for Americans that is NOT wholly Corporate Owned :

1) http://rt.com/programs/keiser-report/ .

2) http://rt.com/programs/capital-account/ ,

3) http://rt.com/programs/capital-account/ &

4) http://rt.com/programs/big-picture/ with Thom Hartmann.

The above is frankly going to beat the pants off ANY US, MSM and are available on-line and on cable & satellite throughout the USA. In the UK these programmes are available on 'RT' Channel 85, Digital-Freeview & Channel 512, Sky Digital.

eh, I am not sure about some of these articles. Some have a distinctly anti-american flare to them and the grammar seems a little.. off. I am just saying. Feels more like propaganda than news.

[-] 3 points by shadz66 (19985) 12 years ago

Which "articles" are you referring to exactly and what is it that you are "just saying" ?!

All the above are links to TV Shows on Current Affairs and Market Manipulation in The U$A !!

What is the nature of your 'thinking' and is it perhaps you who is really 'propagandised' already ?!!!

temet nosce ...

[-] 2 points by ithink (761) from York, PA 12 years ago

I was just browsing through the website, and came upon an article. I was interested in the links because I have been looking for a place to get real news, and it is hard to come by. Perhaps it is because I have been 'propagandised' since the day I was born, that it is so easy to recognize.

For example, when someone says:

"The US is always quick to criticize the election process in other countries, as it has been since the presidential election in Russia last week."

My propaganda alarm starts to ring, as nobody does something 'always'. That kind of journalism belongs on Fox News.

But I do like the website's slogan: Question More. I do hope they include themselves in the 'More' category.

[-] 2 points by shadz66 (19985) 12 years ago

I'm under no illusions about RT or The BBC or The 'ABCNNBCBS-Continuum' or even 'FUX SNEWzzz' & as I clearly stated, these TV programmes are "Alternative News made by Americans for Americans that is NOT wholly Corporate Owned".

Did you see 'RT' and simply react and have you now gone back to cherry pick a few tid-bits to back up your 'reaction' ?!

nosce te ipsum ...

[-] 2 points by ithink (761) from York, PA 12 years ago

Not really. I mostly wanted to push the door that you had opened a little wider, for anyone else who may be reading. No harm intended. More than a few times I have clicked a link from this forum and later wished I had gotten a heads up first. I do not doubt there is a good deal of real news to be found on that site- If one digs around. ;)

Question More..

"Mitt Romney, American Parasite, His years at Bain represent everything you hate about capitalism", by Pete Kotz : http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article31153.htm ... so re. "Who is 'In Power'" ? & 'Who wants Power ?' in The U$A - same old kleptocrats, plutocrats and oligarchs - it'd seem !!!

Henry Rollins is phenomenal too! Speaks up on all political matters and says it like it is. Intelligent and refreshing! Just enter his name on youtube and catch any one of his discussions on the nwo.

he is superficial decent guy from Wendy's restaurant where mostly of as came out from. As He speaks, he cannot hit the center of the main core. Although he seems concerned about civil rights

"The USA was different, we don't have anyone "in power" because our government is of, by, and for the people, with three branches of government to prevent power grabs."

All three branches are controlled by the special interests, with the big three being money, health and energy....Or banks, insurance and oil. It has been like that for a long long time.

They arent even trying to hide it anymore. The Senate votes no on getting rid of oil subsidies. They all decide we should be forced to buy insurance from large multinational corporations. And they have no intention of holding anyone accountable for the fraud in the markets.

[-] 2 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

If you're saying that big corporations are "in power" then I agree. It actually seems very clear.

Why aren't my neighbors looking for their pitchforks in their garage and taking to the streets?

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

They can be found inside their homes, staring blankly at some sort of 'zombie-box.'

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

They need to hear alarm sirens. Will brave people in the media emerge?

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

There are no more brave people in the media. Well, there may be a few. It's really going to be up to us to get people to start seeing some of these things. It's gotten this bad because, in part, so many of us have been complacent. I'm one of the guilty ones.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Well your here now and on the right path. We begin.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

I am also guilty of complacency. I feel good about posting links to facebook and somewhat participating in a revolution, but it was only after I became uncomfortable that I experienced the wake up call.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

My wake-up call was completely by accident. I was researching something completely unrelated and stumbled onto this site. It clicked immediately.

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 12 years ago

Like the analogy of the frog sitting comfortably in a pot of water slowly heating up. By the time he realizes the danger and tries to escape, he is unable to move a muscle, and boils alive.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

True. And sometimes, if the instigator of said boilage (I know, it's not really a word) drops his guard, the froggy jumps out before he's boiled to death. We'd turn the flame down but we don't have any damn thumbs! We need more frogs to help!

[-] 1 points by jrhirsch (4714) from Sun City, CA 12 years ago

Don't worry about the flame, get out of the pot is right. Get out of sitting in front of the TV where we are conditioned what to buy, what to vote, and what to think.

I can't think of a more effective form of mind control than TV.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

That's probably truer than even we imagine. I just heard something about the possibility of low-level frequencies having an adverse effect on brain function. Considering what low- and very low-frequencies can do under the right circumstances, I wouldn't be surprised. It would explain certain things, too.

[Removed]

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

Because they still have a house and a garage.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

True - many have just not realized their own danger - YET.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

I think you're exactly right about my neighbors. What about my employees that only make $250 per week and don't have a house or garage, why aren't they taking to the street? My neighbors are comfortable and my employees are apathetic, and both are asleep.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

I think that as long as people have food and shelter, they tend to be pretty fine. When we start to have food shortages due to hiccups in the system, watch out.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

True security - even if it sucks is security - many will not risk security to better their lives - main difference here - now - today - is that the hammer is coming down regardless of how anyone feels about it unless they wake-up and get involved.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

Very true. Like it or not, its coming.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

Food and shelter seem to be key. One of my employees told me this week that she could not keep her car. She is in her forties and has always had a car since she was 16. Her family can no longer afford cable tv and struggle to buy enough "minutes" for their phones. They're still not taking to the street.

They are still not aware that they are needed for the revolution.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

These essential (?) failures to afford what they need (?) will drive them to a wake-up call. Some just need their personal comfort well and truly crimped.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

They are conditioned to only respond to, "big stories", as far as educating themselves about issues. If it's not a big enough story to hear others talk about the issue, they assume it's not important enough. They don't have much extra time on their hands.

I've made it a point to find out whether any of my employees know that some people don't pay social security taxes on all of their income. None of them have any awareness of it at all.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

It has been a purposeful attack on intelligence it has been a long campaign of dumbing down and feeding apathy. It has been a long campaign of desensitizing the public to horrors in the world the horrors in their own society.

This is beginning to be recognized for what it is and we are finally starting to act on this knowledge. I pray this awareness has not come too late.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

Mainstream media is failing to expose this issue, maybe because they're waiting for our politicians to make statements, but it seems that the media is lock step with the status quo.

[-] 3 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

Mainstream media is owned lock, stock, and barrel by those who maintain the status quo. They have been transformed into mainly a propaganda tool.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

Then this knowledge should be exposed as much as possible to wake up more people

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 12 years ago

We're trying.

[-] 2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 12 years ago

Our media is nothing but a bunch of cheerleaders for the .01%.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

MSM for the most part is owned by our corporate enemies - owned and controlled. Most actual reporting remaining to be seen outside of the internet is public broadcasting. That is why it is so important that communication hubs like this one reach out with it's shared knowledge. Social media must fill in for the lack of coverage.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

This is why we need to create big stories somehow that cannot be ignored, non violent of course. Social media works well if people continue the trend. MSM should be exposed more for their role.

Maybe this will be enough but my fear is for the huge numbers of people that have trained themselves to only perk up when the news is a big story.

[-] 5 points by shadz66 (19985) 12 years ago

The TV shows above won't be enough tho' they are a very good start towards something better & they really show up 'The Lame Stream Media' in The U$A for what it is, ie. Corporate Owned Propaganda !!!

"Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people" - John Adams - Second US President (1797 - 1801). Thus :

When you see CBS taking sponsorship from Goldman Sachs at a time like this, it says all you will ever need to know about the mainstream media.

Ah ok gotcha.

RT is good stuff, I love their stuff. But Im not sure they are American owned... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RT_(TV_network)

[-] 1 points by shadz66 (19985) 12 years ago

No they aren't 'American Owned' but those shows alluded to above are "Alternative News made by Americans for Americans" and in America - except for 'The Keiser Report' which is produced in Paris.

fiat lux ...

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

The only real possibility I see for that to happen is for our using foreign MSM to give us the coverage and also the public broadcast service. The way I see it could happen is if some of our live stream aficionados - volunteer reporters could feed information/video to them to get it aired on broadcast tv. If we could get some coverage like that it might break the dam of information black-out.

Also tune in to PBS - Frontline on 4/24 at about 8:00PM for what looks to be a good documentary on this whole mess. That actually could be our door opener.

[-] 1 points by alterorabolish1 (569) 12 years ago

i would like to see the media complain more about NOT being able to cover police actions up close.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

You will only likely see that "after" corporations are put in their place. MSM news media is not going to bite the hand that will fire and blackball them.
