Observation... As a broke college student, I found my $15 to buy their albums... Yeah, they rallied us with their lyrics- "fight the power!" "Keep on rockin in free world" "rally round your family" "God save the queen". Give me a break! The aggregate of our $15, concert made them the 1%.. Prove me wrong! Get out of you Piedmont, Bhills mansions and help your fans! Absolute sell outs... Or send me a pfd as my house is still underwater!

No doubt! I am also disappointed with the lack of musicians stepping up. I saw that Kweli was down there, Lupe bought and donated all those tents, Crosby and Nash, but seriously, where is everyone? I'm surprised Bono isn't all over this. Or the Beastie Boys. Or Wu, or a million other people i can't even think of at the moment, but who've crossed my mind. I mean, it's not like they are obligated to support anything, but i'm just kind of nonplussed at the amount of support from musicians so far. Maybe they don't know what to make of it or disagree with it. Who am i to say, i just hoped for more for sure. Afraid of backlash from their label heads or hollywood or their record companies or something? If i were a well known musician, i'd be all over this immediately, but yeah, easy for me to say.

Maybe we should start a 'celebrity appreciation thread' for those who have lent there support. Mark Ruffalo was openly supportive from the beginning. I loved him in reservation road. Philip Glass, definitely a musician there.
