The bottom line is reforming campaign finance. As long as corporations control the $$ politicians need to get elected, politicians will work for the corps. Anything else you want to accomplish will be thwarted or redirected until they work for the people.
The tools exist to make money in politics irrelevant. Campaigns can be run viral using YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter for practically no money. The existing political structure has no desire to change the money structure, but the structure CAN be changed. 1 candidate, 1 election, 1 seat, 1 goal: 1 more seat. 1 by 1 with each success seat, the system can be taken down if we work around the expected structure. Occupy Washington.
I agree. I started at thread about finance reform here: occupywallst.org/forum/get-the-money-out-of-politics/.
