I find it to be very troubling they way they've gone about this.
I hate to suspect conspiracy but the way the government has handled the situation is very very questionable. They had no problem with allowing Gaddafi shown getting stabbed in the ass repeatedly on television, but showing the Bin Laden "picture" would be dangerous and a threat to national security? Granted Gaddafi was killed by the "rebels" but his facilities had to be destroyed and his guards killed by US supported NATO bombs first.
My take on the subject is that denying the citizens of our country the facts of war and true history is a disgraceful tactic. War is gruesome and people need to know that.
I've just always found the situation very troubling. Any thoughts from anyone else?
All media pertaining to war, no matter how bloody, or gruesome, or classified should be required viewing by anyone contemplating joining, supporting, or sending troops in harms way.
If he wasn't already dead due to renal failure, I think the SEALs got him. I'm not so sure they killed him, though. Captured, but not killed. In saying they killed him it makes keeping bin Laden a lot easier.
Remember that the video was shot by the rebels and posted. There is not any comparison. Why is it necessary to see a picture? Is there some disbelief that this did not occur? I actually believe that too much is revealed of the special forces operations that could compromise our guys in the field. There are bad people out there.
They revealed how and where it happened and you're saying the picture is the part that's too much? Well guess what. WE REQUIRE PROOF of missions being accomplished in war. especially since Osama was the whole point of the war on terror. If he's really dead why is showing his picture to prove it a bad idea? Do you think terrorists will be even more pissed than at the fact that he's already dead? We require proof! They hung Saddam and our media showed it too.
The only proof we will ever have is no more tapes from him, I mean I believe he is dead, too hard to cover up, but as far as real proof, only the absence of proof is proof. How do we prove there are no unicorns, we can't we can only prove there are, so with no one doing that yet, we assume they are none. .
I don't think this is at all comparable to unicorns. This situation is like saying we killed the only unicorn in existence... and then the government says, "We'd show you proof, because we do have proof, but it's a threat to national security to provide the proof so just believe us. We've never ever lied before."
And my question isn't about him being alive. I have no doubt that he's dead, it would be too much of an ordeal if he popped up alive somewhere and the gov wouldn't want that happening. My question is about the details and the specifics. THE PROOF. We the people have the right to information about wars. Especially when Osama is the "reason" they all started.
Where was his dialysis machine? That old man sitting down watching television was supposed to be him? Why did they only show a side picture of him alive? What about his millions, the facilities were quite modest?
Then that video of that chap with a short dyed beard?? That was him? That's funny, he didn't look like the other OBL's in the other videos. Of course none of them looked alike either.
They had to keep the short, fat one with the squashed nose taking credit for 9/11 sitting down - otherwise, the fraud would have been too obvious.
Sorry, the numerous sources were correct, OBL died of natural causes in December 2001. Don't fall for propaganda.

You're not kidding. And what's wrong with believing in conspiracy? It happens constantly. It just shows you're a critical thinker. It doesn't mean you love your country and its people any less just because you don't necessarily believe your government. One could argue you're even more patriotic for wanting to preserve the rule of law from being taken over by tyranny, thus protecting your country and its people.
