Forum Post: What if we just told the 1% to take their money and GTFO?

Seems a bit silly, and is far more of a thought exercise than a proposal, but what do you think?

The first few years or so would be fairly horrendous. It would put many of us who HAVE jobs in about the same position as the ones who do not. In a rather large way though, I think we would suddenly see everyone with some sort of job, mainly bartering for goods with services & vice versa. Sure seems like we'd have a lot more average people running for government, as well.
