It's a lost cause. Texas Gov. Rick Perry called a second special legislative session for next week to get this abortion bill passed. Usually gets what he wants in Texas.

It's a lost cause. Texass

I can understand your depression. But really - just boot Perry and never elect another.

[-] 0 points by Narley (272) 10 years ago

The depressing thing is he's the longest running governor Texas has ever had. I can't stand the guy; and he may run for governor again. Some speculation of him running for president again.

But then again, Texas does have a strong economy; and get to keep our guns. For a lot of Texan that's enough to vote for him.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 10 years ago

Yeah - strong economy - just gotta love minimum wage jobs. So the average person is not doing well - still got plenty of tax revenue - Hey?

[-] -1 points by Narley (272) 10 years ago

Aw man, why you always ragging on Texas. It has good paying jobs, low employment, affordable homes, no state income tax and environment that's better than most. So what's your beef?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 10 years ago

So what's your beef?

One would be death penalty carried out on innocent individuals. Hey - be sure to always have a solid alibi - you wouldn't want to end up on DR as a sop to the public fear over a murder that needed to be solved. Hell you could end up part of a re-election campaign.

[-] 0 points by Narley (272) 10 years ago

I'm a liberal, but I support the death penalty. But no point in discussing it. No one is going to change their mind.

So that's it? All your ragging on Texas is because of the death penalty? Granted Texas is the leader in the number of executions, but we're not the only state that executes murderers.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 10 years ago

All your ragging on Texas is because of the death penalty?

In a word? NO

But you really should have a problem with killing the innocent - why don't you?.

[-] 0 points by Narley (272) 10 years ago

Aw come on, now you're trying to bait me. Innocents = no. Guilty cold blooded murderers = yes.

Too bad you can't use the right wing trash on the board to make insinuations about a civil war.

[-] 1 points by Narley (272) 10 years ago

Civil war? People who think we're going to have a civil war are disillusion. Doesn't matter their political leanings, they're crackpots.

But I keep my guns clean and power dry just in case, hee hee.

Well, if they are going to be useful blithering idiots then they should at least be useful. As it is, just those opposing the bill are considered terrorists. Odd that.

Lowest circle of hell is reserved for Perry.

Perry: Wendy Davis 'hasn’t learned' from her own life

http://www.myfoxaustin.com/story/22708784/perry-wendy-davis-hasnt-learned-from-her-own-life

Governor Rick Perry spoke at the National Right to Life Convention in Dallas Thursday. He vowed to pass Senate Bill 5 which would put tougher restrictions on abortion clinics and limit abortions to under 20 weeks.

"We are under no obligation to make things easier for the abortionist," Perry said.

Then, he addressed Senator Wendy Davis. Her all-day filibuster that killed the bill last session has catapulted her to rock-star status.

"She was the daughter of a single woman. She was a teenage mother herself. She managed to graduate from Harvard Law School and served in the Texas Senate. It's just unfortunate she hasn't learned from her own example that every life must be given a chance to realize its full potential and every life matters," said Perry.
