Within the “ABOUT” definition (on tool bar) there is a powerful statement that: “The movement is inspired by popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, and aims to fight back against the richest 1% of people that are writing the rules of an unfair global economy that is foreclosing on our future.” My question is? Considering the thousands of lives lost in these distant lands do they still remain OWS inspiration? Moreover do we Dishonor Their Courageous movements by equating US to THEM? If we take a step back the bottom-line is “WE” just haven’t suffered as much…(YET). We have runners who get pizza, coffee. Hell when OWS-LA was up and running it profited local mobile concessionaires’! Is it time for a new name? Is it time for our brain trust to restructure us as an appealing group that gets Media coverage? Should we be using the greatest power we have as CONSUMERS? Instead of impressing one another with pithy posts.
