The trolls are working double time today. I guess the devils are really cracking the whip, or maybe the price of souls is going down in hell!

Am I a troll?

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Not that far evolved. Keep trying, you'll get there.

[-] 3 points by JadedGem (895) 11 years ago

I have noticed the same trolls over and over on here. I've also noticed the message for the week is, "We're all just squirrels looking for a nut...." As if because they would anything for a dollar, the rest of the would too. If they can abuse their position, its alright because deep down they tell themselves anyone would. I wonder if they have seminars for them where they get instructions on how to become a psychopath so they can move up the corporate ladder. I'm not denying Greed is at and an all time high. The message being sent is simply get on the winning team, evil always triumphs over good, you don't want to be looser, what soul?, don't you want an unfair system in case you yourself get rich? You know you want be greedy and morally bankrupt you do, come on over! If you don't you'll be a looser! Like the thread about Spanks "Here is someone who made it big, it can happen if you work smart and hard!" Yeah someone won lotto too, the chances are still 1 in 175 million! hchc doesn't do this so I'm not ever gonna count him as a troll. He's not trying to perpetuate the myth of making it big in America and the other myths that have people sucking up to Corporate Interests.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Okay, I'll go with that.

[-] 2 points by extroll (47) 11 years ago

The thing making all the trolls come out, is the recent uptick in bannings. I used to create three new accounts every time one of mine got banned, to avenge it.

[-] 2 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

Assholes are cheap today, Cheaper than yesterday.......

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

We need to commoditize them, and trade them on the "free market" boards. That will surely drive the price for assholes "right" through the roof!!

[-] 2 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

Your creative thinking amazes me.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

It's either that, or attempt to create an artificial scarcity...........:)

I think that would be bit too much to ask of the marketing/PR department.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

LOL!!!!

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I'd like to believe this, but I've seen the (R)eplican't debates.

They may a bunch of cheap assholes, but they are not inexpensive.

[-] 0 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

What ever happened to human dignity in this country? They can find somebody to do anything for money now; no sense of ethics any more at all. I swear we have descended to the level of rats. These people make me utterly ashamed to be an American. They are a complete disgrace.

[-] 6 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

The end days of capitalism seem to point to a slave/master scenario. Funny how things go full circle.

Collective socialist capitalism is what actually appears to work.

Such a pity those who broker power would consider it to be a nightmare.

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

So sad, when there are societies that actually work, and all we would have to do is immulate them, but some people are such damned stupid worshipers of Mammon that they would rather destroy the whole world then let go of one goddamned sleezy dime. How will they feel, I wonder, on the day of reconning?

[-] 3 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

Change is scary for many kinds of people.

No matter how bad a situation becomes, there are those who will fight tooth and nail to maintain the status quo.

Vis a vis the wall streeters and the "too big to jail" bankers.

I'm still holding out for the most peaceful revolution in the history of mankind, despite the violence and bloodshed that has got us this far.

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

I am too, but we really do need to wake the masses and sometimes that seems like trying to wake people from a coma! We need to get so loud they can't pretend we aren't there.

[-] 2 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

I think the awakening is a gradual process. I hosted several families over the Easter break at our camping grounds, and the talk eventually came around to the globalisation issue, and the mining giants manipulating the economy over here in Australia. I really believe that I opened up a few minds in that half hour of discussion.

There was one naysayer, and he was taken down by his own wife, when I pointed out how difficult it would be for their own children to purchase a home in their own town after the global invaders cranked the home prices out of reach of everybody else.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

There is an Austalian contrubutor to this forum, BigHead1883 that knows exactly what is going on, as do many others over there in OZ ( his word) apparently.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Builder is another great Aussie supporter.

I look forward to his every post. I have to love the fact, that the World is getting more involved ion this every day..........:)

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

I didn't realize that Builder was an Aussie. shadz66, another great contributor to this forum is a Brit. My ex is a Kiwi, has British parents who lived in Cenral Africa, and then Settled in New Zealand. I met her in Aussie-land. Just in the little Occupy Town Square group that I help with...There is a British girl, a Vietnamese guy, and a Fench girl (whom I tease, calling her the Lafayette of the OWS revolution) as well as several native born Americans. Still a lot of people don't seem to realize that this is a world-wide struggle....against neoliberalism, and all the harm it has done.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Thanks for hitting the nail right on the head!

I've learned of the neo-liberal policy problem on this very forum, and am thankful for the political clarity it's brought me.....:)

It's the libertarian/Austrian economic model that has brought the World to this point.

Everything else, is mostly silly bickering over the details.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

Yes I learned that term...neoliberalism.. and the people that initiated, it and caried it out here too. I am not ashamed to admit that I have learned so much here. Before I just used to just call it fucked up. :-)

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Don't you just love the way they twist multiple meanings with the words they choose to describe it?

"Neoliberal", for the extreme version, of what is a "right wing" socio-economic model.

Like the term was chosen for it's ability to confuse. Ain't PR a wonderful thing?

PR, of course being being a propagandized word for propaganda..

But hey, at least it's easier to type.......:)

I still say it's fucked up, but I gained a better handle on just how and how much, and we chose "a tough row to hoe".

In the end, that row will bear the sweetest fruit the World has ever known, and there will be more than enough for everyone.

Occupy, is proving to be a great way to get started.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

Wrong place to reply again. I am a Yank too...with a Swedish dad..and a ex who had British parents, was born in Zambia, and moved to New Zealand...but me I'm not only a Yank, but considered a 'Clam Digger' by those North Jersey ...... people.

Seriously though, I suspect too that this may indeed get ugly., and I worry about that. I wish it could all happen by what I saw in Cenral Park this week where there was an air of determination, optimism, and innocence, and it was so nice to see, but I am a realist. We are in an epic battle where the elites have a lot to lose. So I do worry...and yes I will pray too.

[-] 0 points by hercules1 (7) 11 years ago

Odin, you are correct. Although it is a terrible thought, the ugliness is bound to happen. But try not to worry. You will not be the one to raise your hand against your neighbor. It will be the arrogant ones, the greedy, the vain and the ignorant. It will be the ones who exploit and control who will conduct the violence. They will be seen for what they are - weak. Try to take comfort (Iknow I do) in knowing there are countless, much like yourself, the world over, praying and working for a better world. There's not one savior but many. They are passionate and dedicated.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

I have to reply here. Thanks for your efforts too. It has been a good cyber night....going back and forth between you and shadz66. I don't know what repubs did to PBS (other than cutting their funding), but any station that has Bill Moyers on it can't be all bad. shadz highly reccommended a you tube doc called Murder, Spies, and Voting Lies , which I am going to watch now.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

If you're of a bent, please pray for us crazy Yanks.

We have long election circus about to begin, and it's the first one with maximum money. I have a feeling it's gonna get ugly.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

I couldn't comment under your latest reply. People just want to shut their eyes to it all. We are the biggest moral hypocrites in the world. I went to a web site where it showed some of the people that were victims. Everyone should go to that site at least once.

On another note, I just heard that PBS Front Line is airing a two part doc (for the first time) called Money Power and Wall Street. I'm putting up a promo thread here on it. Anyway, it will be a total of 4 hours over two nights airing April 24th and 25th in most places. OWS radicals are in it. Google it, and check out the trailer i know I won't miss it.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Thanks Odin and thanks for all your efforts..................:)

I'll get my wife to record it. Looks interesting.

Can we still trust PBS after what the (R)epelican'ts did to them?

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

The most twisted, as far as I can see are the titles of the wars, ie. Operation New Dawn. That really means that we're going to use uranium depleted bombs. Generally, the more beautiful sounding the name....the more horrific it will be.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Some people look at me funny when I tell them we nuked Iraq.

They just don't want to believe, the whole place is radioactive.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

'Occupation Iraqi Freedom.' I guess if they would've called it 'Operation Resource Confiscation,' the public might have been less receptive.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

You're right it is gradual and I think it is happening, and that is more than I ever thought I'd be able to say in my lifetime. I'm so greatful that the younger generation has awoken to the dire state of things and to the necessity of turning it around.

[-] 2 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

I've found that to hit the right nerves, cuts a lot of corners. Capitalist in general think about the next quarter, financially, but the reality is, their children must live with the decisions their parents make now, for the rest of their lives.

I'm no tree-hugger, and I accept progress as a part of our reality, but I don't condone progress without reasonable arguments for and against.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

In America there is no question that greed has supplanted reason. Those who deny global warming are stark evidence of that fact. That has been the problem with science, in my opinion, from the begining - it doesn't take into account the human equasion - but you are right that reason is where we must now turn with all our effort and towards convincing others of the necessity of reason. This country seemed to lose it's capacity for reason in the last forty years, a dangerous condition.

PS Good to see you on the forum again.

[-] 2 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

Thanx for the headsup.

"Science" can be paid enough to find anything the pay clerk wants them to find, but climate change is already upon us, and those who deny it are simply sticking to their guns for whatever conservative reason motivates them anyway.

As for the focus of how to share our plight and convince others of our raison d'etre, I'm thinking that global warming is passe, and the focus might be better directed at the greed quotient, meaning why the hell do the bankers raise interest rates to "cool down" the economy, and stop people spending their money?

Focus upon that primary issue, which has always seemed to me to be a completely totalitarian action by the banksters, amidst a supposedly democratically elected republic, which amounts to farcical rubbish, in anyone's book. Can't believe how the talking heads on the TV maintain a straight face saying it, until you realise that the same five corporations that own the banks, also own the TV stations, and own the dork parrotting their party lines for our discernment.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Agreed. When people come to realize the future of Western Civilization has been erased for the benefit of a few thousand thieves unless we fight back, then they will fight back. It is already happening.

[-] 1 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

I believe you're right. My twin nieces (14 yrs) are all over this issue of banks dictating to politicians, ("like, what are you voting for? D'uh!") kinda thing. Their Dad is giving them running updates, of course.

I'm thinking the people could be voting in their own Judiciary, and issuing their own Deputisation certificates and tin plates, and making their own arrests, and handing down their own sentencing. All it takes is to have a room full of locals vote to have a constitution ratified.

It's been done before. It's not like any court of law could say that it's not constitutionally correct.

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

This very kind of thing could start happening soon. Taking back democracy is mainly just a matter of people realizing that they can do it:)

[-] 2 points by shadz66 (19985) 11 years ago

Resistance Is Fertile !!! UP & AT 'EM !! Nil Desperandum ...

[-] -1 points by takim (23) 11 years ago

the USA is not a democracy, it's a constitutional republic.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

That is why one of our priorities should be to get people to look beyond the corporate-owned media for the truth...and to get people to educate themselves. It may have to start out with little catch phrases on our part to get their attention.

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

True. I think that is why this forum is important, very important. Once ideas are out there you can't put them back in the bag.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

Educating the masses, just like many of us here have been educated is paramount to our success...and along those lines..I just put up a new public service thread. I hope that is as good as it looks. Look for Money, Power, and Wall Street. We should spread the word. Right now I'm going to a youtube doc that shadz highly recommended called Murder, Spies, and Voting Lies.

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Thanks

[-] 1 points by alexrai (851) 11 years ago

I agree. It's too bad it has to be one or the other. Capitalism would be great with a strong government that could control it better. Make it work for the people.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Yes, and capitalism also must be ridden of the huge monopoliys. We simply don't have an even remotely free market anymore.

[-] 2 points by BoycottCoke (275) 11 years ago

Perhaps it is time we take that back also. All it takes is for one to change, the change begins with one, me. Once I understand this, then I can change the world, but until I am ready to go through sacrifces to attain the goal, all I am is talk and not walk. everyone needs to address this very issue, or better yet ask himself this question: Am I ready to do this or not? if the answer is YES, then by all means let's do it, but if the answer is no or you are not sure, then stand out of the way, so those who are ready to act now in peaceful demonstrations of solidarity with fellow human beings in a quest for justice and equality, can actually get going. There is no time ti waste, I can blink and remember things that happened over 35 years ago, easily as if they happened yesterday, or this morning. Precious time is being wasted, as I memtioned the other day, if you have your oponent in a choke hold, why let him go so he can get his strength back and come back at you?? We have the momentum NOW, let us use it, once we do, the rest who are on the fence will follow. The battle has begun, no room for the faint at heart, no room for compromise, it is victory or defeat. I think not jus the odds, but better yet decency and common sense is on our side. So what's it going to be? My personal struggle and battle against corporation corruption among other things can be followed at facebook.com/Thecoke16, just in case someone ones to see how serious we are about taking down a giant. We will Chronicle everything there and also at the OWSthinktank.org site. God bless all

[-] 2 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Yes, battle is joined. We must all pray for the higher lights in human nature to prevail.

[-] 2 points by Yin7 (44) 11 years ago

I feel the same way. The only way out might be leaving the country & looking for a better country.

[-] 3 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

I have learned that you generally can't run from problems. When you try they only get worse. That is where decent people often go wrong: not liking conflict they shy away from it, and leave the field open for the preditors of the world. Maya Angelou said (from memeory) "Courage is the first virture, because without it none of the other virtues are possible."

She was right. No sane person likes conflict, thus when you avoid it you leave the field open to the insane.

[-] 2 points by Yin7 (44) 11 years ago

That is very inspiring, thank you.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

As Churchill said, "Never, never, never, never give up."

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

I vote for the price of souls.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

It's a bear market. The price is falling these days.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

That is too funny.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

LOL!!!

[-] 1 points by iamreal (9) 11 years ago

define troll, I disagree with allot of what is said here does that make me a troll

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

No it doesn't make you one. Not if you ARE real.

[-] 2 points by iamreal (9) 11 years ago

Between those air heads and the fat cat ferengi, we are in trouble.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Yeah, what's next, the Klingons?

[-] 1 points by TheTrollSlayer (347) from Kingsport, TN 11 years ago

I started calling corporations, banks, etc the ferengi because of they way they do business with our governement, just like the ferengi. Every way to milk it, take advantage, even cheat, just to get the money. They are the Ferengi.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Lol!!! Yes, alien bloodsuckers!

[-] 1 points by Spade2 (478) 11 years ago

Didn't you hear? Ever since Reganomics, there has been a surplus of corrupted souls, thereby driving down prices in Dis.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

LOL! Probably a dime a dozen by now.

[-] 1 points by Spade2 (478) 11 years ago

Yeah, cause we don't need all those job killing regulations they have in heaven. Everyone knows God's a poor economist.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

I actually see these troll outbreaks as a positive sign. They seem to come and go as their concern for the effectiveness of our movement rises and falls. We must be doing something right.

[-] 1 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

I think the 2nd generation trolls that are out there now are more sophisticated, and hope to steer the movement in a way that is more controllable, where the elites can just give us some crumbs that can easily be retrieved.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

You are exactly right Odin. They have become MUCH more soppisticated, but we have truth on our side, and if in doubt all we need is to search our hearts and find it. The truth is an eternal flame and will be our guide.

[-] 0 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

Truth is indeed a wonderful thing to have going for us. Even so though, I am vigilant on posters who I see that might be trying to insidiously steer us to a course of impotency....constantly dampening the flame, and trying to sound like the voice of reason. Maybe I'm getting a little too suspicious, eh?

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

No you're not! That's what I've been doing of necessity for quite awhile now. We can't let this "disinformation" go unanswered!

[-] 0 points by Odin (583) 11 years ago

Thanks....I agree....on that note, good night GK.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Good night.

[-] 1 points by XenuLives (1645) from Charlotte, NC 11 years ago

I'm being attacked by trolls as we speak. Its fun to keep their mouths frothing with anger.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

LOL!!!

[-] -2 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

You are cracking the crack pipe, I think.

If you can't deal with the "trolls" on an intellectual basis I would suggest hiding in the closet.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

What intellectual basis? Nothing they say has any valid intellectual basis at all. It is all just apeal to emotion, and scewed non-facts manufactured out of thin air in order to confuse people.

[-] -1 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

That is the exact same argument I would pose to you. You are saying that anyone who doesn't agree with you is absolutely wrong. I'm not a crazy person, and I don't agree with you.

By the way, why all the ......?

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

There are only so many ways to say the only thing they always say . . ."Lower Taxes!" "More for us, less for everybody else!" That's all it ever comes down to in the end.

[-] -1 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

You are woefully ignorant of the facts.

The whole premise of this ridiculous OWS movement is "more for us". In this case the "us" are union workers, malcontents, and various other liberal factions. Don't you see that?

You can't stand to see people who have more than you, and you want the "system" to give you more in an attempt to even the score.

[-] 2 points by Builder (4202) 11 years ago

What the movement is all about is preventing the criminal white-collar elements in our democracies from controlling too many important decisions, and wasting too much of our tax dollars, on corrupt schemes whose only outcome is personal profit, rather than improving the outcomes for all people concerned.

What we are getting is lies, genocide, austerity measures, and criminality calling the shots from the SCOTUS to the POTUS.

http://rt.com/news/uranium-birth-defects-fallujah-729/

[-] -3 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

You mean criminal activity like Solyndra? Or are you thinking of another one of King Obama's schemes?

Genocide? What are you talking about?

Get used to the austerity, baby! There are plenty of Americans like me who are sick and tired of paying for your Party's social programs and union bailouts.

I won't rest until there are no more public employee unions.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

"deal with the "trolls" on an intellectual basis"

You funny guy!!!!! Trolls! intellectual basis??

Ok,ok ok.......I can stop laughing. NO I can't!!!

Gimme a minute..............................

Whew.

Let's discuss your vision for a job displacement marketing program for the near future.

[-] -2 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

I would be happy to discuss it but I'm not sure what you mean by "job displacement marketing program"? Sounds like a great "program".

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

OIC, yet another example of a low comprehension, slow moving brain.

Unable to make sense of word sequences not repeated over and over on TV.

[-] -1 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

Please enlighten me.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Sorry, I'm not a miracle worker, but if you would like to pay me to try, just send me a check for $50 and as soon as it clears, we'll get started

[-] -3 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

Check's in the mail, along with your government-handout check.

[-] 2 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

I'm just passing to the landlord or the bank loan

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I'll let you know if and when the check clears.

What Gment handout check? You must get one of those. I receive an earned retirement check.

[-] -2 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

I'm sure you do!

[-] -3 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

Actually, I'm working triple time- reading my bible, polishing my gun, and posting on OWS.

All hail "The Borg".

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Reading your Bible and polishing your gun, huh? Want to kill all those peace and social justice acivists, all those long haired guys who go around preaching about ethics and stuff like that?

[-] -1 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

I am a long-haired social justice activist. That is why I am posting!

You can't own a gun or read the bible and still care about society? Come on.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Actually you can, and some do, but they mostly don't polish the gun when they're actually reading the bible, and most of them don't reduce themselves to silly clichets for public consumption.

[-] -2 points by MikeInOhio (13) 11 years ago

You can't spell, and you can't seem to think very clearly either. What exactly is a clichet?

[-] 3 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

You are.
