Last week, the Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act and it could be signed into law by President Obama by Friday.

However, online protests have started to surface surrounding an attached provision to the bill — Section 1031 — that could allow the military to detain American citizens indefinitely without a trial on American Soil!!

Is it time to take back Congress now?

We can citizen arrest every last one of them (except perhaps kucinich and Ron Lawl) for insider trading which IS ILLEGAL!

They have violated our Constitution so many times, why let them have at it again.

We need to go to the TV stations, and demand accountability for insider trading by Congressional members.

When they tell you it is 'perfectly legal'..ask them to show the public the exemption in the law that allows for congressional insider trading because as the law stands it is absolutely illegal for any American.

We have to throw the whole lot of them out NOW, before they do any more damage!!

The President has already said he would veto this bill, the major problem is that it will merely get sent back to congress for 'rewrites' since it is tacked onto an appropriations bill for the military.

We really need to end the ability of congress to 'tack on' agendas to the bills being presented. They 'sneak' a lot of stuff by this way and have for decades.

Of course they sneak in stuff because they know no one pays attention to them or their 400 page bills. When people start paying attention to them the gig is up.

exactly. but we do need some legislation that stops any increase in our governments law enforcement and military power. in fact, we need to audit the pentagon and DHS.

Even I read through bills in one sitting do you think these politicians do at all or do they talk to their buddy's who give them the orders vote aye or nay.

i think they read it. but i believe the pentagon and wallstreet make most of their decisions for them. anyone who hides from the public eye does not have the public's interest in mind. we can no longer turn a blind eye in the name of security. the pentagon is why the world hates us, they are isolating us from the world and soon us from each other. this only has one possible outcome of let to continue.
