Forum Post: Washed Up Rocker Ted Nugent should Shut his Mouth

Posted 11 years ago on April 17, 2012, 6:20 p.m. EST by Puzzlin (2898)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

What an idiot. Who thinks he's going to continue mouthing off when he gets his secret service interview???

Here's what the blowhard said so at the NRA Jumbilee:

If you want more of those kinds of evil anti-American people in the Supreme Court, then don’t get involved and let Obama take office again. Because I’ll tell you this right now: if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year....

But if you can’t go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration I don’t know what you’re made of. If you can’t galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney we’re done. We’ll be a suburb of Indonesia next year....

Our president, and attorney general, our vice president, Hillary Clinton, they’re criminals, they’re criminals. And if you take that adamant ‘we the people’ defiance, remember we’re Americans because we defied the king. We didn’t negotiate and compromise with the king, we defied the emperors. We are patriots, we are bravehearts. We need to ride into that battlefield, and chop their heads off in November.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/17/ted-nugent-obama-secret-service_n_1432009.html

Ted Nugent needs to get off the soap box we don't need his brand of hate spewing. What a waste this man has become.

But if he shuts his mouth, where will all of his s t go ?

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Well, it might mean the end of him, for good. See Ya!

Maybe then that older (younger) image of him being a hard rocking hippie will return. But it's really too late, we know he's been an a$$ hat most of his life. Reminds of how I think of Mel Gibson these days. It does happen.

The Puzzler

[-] -1 points by bobgnote (-55) 11 years ago

Mel Gibson is actually right on with something left. If you had a Gibson anything, what would it sound like? So why do you slur Mel from Oz?

[-] -1 points by bobgnote (-55) 11 years ago

Dude, you are completely oblivious to the truth, is that Nugent didn't compose his own hits. Neither did his buddies. They cannot put up more hits, since their source won't play guitar, for the surveillance. So he won't "return" to jack, since he NEVER WAS A ROCKER. He is a fraud, using your image of him as musician, to get over on all of us. He can't return, to something he never was. Puzzle it out.

[Removed]

[-] -1 points by bobgnote (-55) 11 years ago

This does suggest a$$ hat, doesn't it. Take it from former Nugent lead singer, Derek St.Holmes: "He's a STREET RAT, nothing to offer, STREET RAT, steals another meal," etc. He's a leading citizen, in the same KLEPTOCRACY that listens in, to all your calls and stores all these entries and our e-mails, soon to be in Bluffdale, Utah NSA complex.

[-] 3 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Aaack! I used to love Nugent and now I can't even listen to him. He is such an ass.

and Dave Mustaine is a birther..........

Dammit!

Since we all love the first amendment right to insult at will so much, should we consider encouraging Teddy to enjoyhis free right to fart into the wind no matter how smelly it gets? Is this what our Founding Fathers were thinking when they debated and passed our 1st amendment rights?

I think most here probably don't understand the 1st amendment. You do not under this law have a right say whatever you want no matter where you are. Who understands this?

The Puzzler

[-] 2 points by JoeTheFarmer (2654) 11 years ago

Ted Nugent has a right to say what he believes. This is the USA.

So he thinks our president, and attorney general, our vice president, Hillary Clinton, they’re criminals because in his mind they ignore the constitution of the United States. Based on some recent actions he does have a point. Selling guns to drug runners, bombing Libya without going before congress.

"Chopping off their heads in November" is obviously metaphorically speaking about taking action in the voting booth.

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Yeah, and here's more metaphors (below) that Teddy spewed. Really he's a nice guy, everybody just has got him wrong.

In his words:

"I'm a moderate. I'm an extremely loving and passionate man, and people who investigate me honestly, without the baggage of political correctness, ascertain the conclusion that I'm a damned nice guy. ... And if you can find a screening process more powerful than that, I'll [expletive] your [expletive], or [expletive] you. How's that sound?"

From you Teddy. I don't think anyone, given your recent rant and raving, is under the illusion that anything nice and sweet comes out of your mouth. Your a bully who verbally assaults those who have even a minor disagreement with you. How the hell do you stay married? Your wife must be totally submissive.

The Puzzler

[-] 1 points by JadedCitizen (4277) 11 years ago

Sure, Ted has the right to say what he believes. But that does not mean he should not practice self-restraint.

For example, I could speak my mind freely and tell my boss the next time we meet that he is the most despicable dick in the world, but there would probably be consequences. The boss would probably do worse to me than tell me to shut my mouth.

If in your mind,

you think Ted Nugent deserves a pass for being an idiotic person who can't keep his mouth shut when he is in a situation that calls for a bit more brains,

then you are dangerously close to insulting your own intelligence.

[-] 0 points by JoeTheFarmer (2654) 11 years ago

I did not say you don't have a right to dislike what he says I said he has a right to say whatever he wants. I believe everyone has the right to say whatever they want. You have the right to wish he would shut up.

The first amendment is meant to protect unwanted speech. There is no need to protect speech that everyone agrees with.

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Do you have the right to incite a riot?

How about telling your friends/public we need to chop our opponents heads off?

Sometimes out of respect for others we don't just don't say whatever we want whenever we want. For those who do come off as social misfits in this area, they are viewed as rude and obnoxious. In fact, in most workplaces it is not tolerated for one quick second. You tell the boss f__ himself and buddy, your fired. There is your free speech. Also, thankfully we have laws against disturbing the peace. You start shouting your 1st amendment right in front of my house you will be picked up. If you follow me down any street USA and yell at me and won't stop. I will call the police. You see Joe I have the right to listen to you if I want to. If I don't, you can not force it on me. Nobody will ever force their will upon me. Only the police have that right which I would not resist. I have been arrested unfortunately and I know the drill. Anyone else has access to me only if I allow it and never by force.

I am not confrontational by nature, and intentionally I just go around these "roadblocks". I have enough more important matters (problems) and don't let others, I know little about, give me theirs. I choose my battles carefully and thoughtfully and then attack relentlessly with everything I have. For the right cause, my motivation is a steamroller, and I just keep pinging away, effectively as long as it takes. I will die from this earth still fighting many of these causes. I came here for this! My purpose is clear. I'm on point.

Puzzlin

[-] 1 points by JoeTheFarmer (2654) 11 years ago

I am not a Nugent fan however you left off part of the quote in an attempt to give it a different meaning.

The quote was:

"We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."

It is obvious to any US citizen with half a brain that he is talking about the voting booth.

In fact if you read the entire quote it is even evident that he was talking about politicians in Washington, wasteful spending, crony capitalism, and accountability.

"I'm not taking this crap anymore. I've about had it. Leave my damned paycheck alone. Unless you can be accountable, you get nothing. And if you take that adamant, we-the-people defiance — remember, we're Americans because we defied the king. We didn't negotiate and compromise with the king. We defied the emperors. We are patriots. We are Braveheart. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"

[-] 1 points by JadedCitizen (4277) 11 years ago

I believe Ted had the right to say it, but should man up and take the consequences for the stupid shit that comes out of his mouth. He is a dick for comparing Obama to a coyote that should be shot. Now, taking his right to say it off the table. Quit dancing on the issue. The issue that remains is - Was Ted Nugent out of line (being a dick)? Do you defend his attitude? In other words, shit or get off the pot.

[-] 2 points by MaryS (529) 11 years ago

Take a flaming narcissist, pump him full of drugs for years and then brainwash him and stir. We are talking vile.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

Hilarious! When I saw, "Take a flaming narcissist . . " in the 'recent comments' I knew it was the Nugent thread without even clicking on it. A 'like' for you, Mary.

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Unfortunately, Fox News will always have a soft spot for this idiot. Maybe he and Palin can team up and help their ratings as Fox News takes that hard right with the tea bagged GOP. It's popular streak these days.

Reddy Teddy claims to have never used drugs, even back in his days with The Amboy Dukes in the 60s. He fired a lead singer from his Ted Nugent Band for getting the attention of more women than he did.

While I agree that he's a fairly obnoxious, egomaniacal moron, he has the right to speak his peace, just as we all do. And I have the right to ignore him.

As far as his remarks cited in this thread, it's simply more of the same tired thing from him. As far as "if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year...." Ted's just trying to get me to vote for Obama, cause I'd love so very much to call his bluff.

[-] -1 points by slammersworldwillnotbecensored (-184) 11 years ago

Ted never used drugs, and fired any one who did.....

[-] 1 points by MaryS (529) 11 years ago

That would be interesting. I guess I just assumed. Maybe something medicinal would have helped calm him a bit.

[-] -2 points by uncensored2 (-3) 11 years ago

Ted has never done drugs or even drank alcohol.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Teddy's been playing the same riff since the Amboy Dukes split up.

He's loud, fast, repetitive, and not really that good.

His only real claim to fame these days, is that he's an asshole with a big mouth, a microphone and guns.

[-] 3 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Ping. Bullseye. His distorted view of our world has been going on almost all his life. This is how it ends for these hate mongers. The vitriol has run it's course then it finally comes spouting out of the mouth like smelly foul diarrhea.

Nugent is an a$$, he exploits the enraged right wing nut crowd. A total a$$ ball. Leave no doubt. After his NRA stint. We've pegged his nuts!

[-] 4 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

It's been going on for some time now. It was obvious when Fox News started having him on their network as a regular. He's way out there and like any childish kid, they go to the limit until some one stops them. They have to discover those boundaries because because they are still too immature to have found them. This guy, Nugent, being rich as he is, is likely a dominant a$$ wipe with a sub-servant wife who gives big teddy what he wants. He's an over grown brat who is used getting his and saying whatever the hell comes to mind. He loves and prides himself in killing wild animals, he brags on that quite a bit. Blood lust. Can we say, Eccentric Millionaire. The man is not only classless but clueless. Shows a general lack of respect for others.

He has a track record that goes back years and years.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

Wasn't he also quoted disparaging OWS last year?

[-] 3 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Yes he was, here's a couple pearls of wisdom straight off of Ted's lips:

"Occupy Wall Street is nothing more than anti-American socialism on parade."

"Occupy Wall Street is empty-headed. Stinky hippies, generational slaves to Fedzilla and the transparent entitled are the problem, not the solution."

Ted hates anyone who doesn't think exactly like him. A bully. This is how they talk. Him and Rush Limpballs have allot in common.

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Ted:

"If you want more of those kinds of evil anti-American people in the Supreme Court, then don’t get involved and let Obama take office again. Because I’ll tell you this right now: if Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year...."

Puzzlin, are you kidding? Kagan and Sotamayor were appointed by Obama. Scalia, Thomas, Roberts Alito and Kennedy were all appointed by 2 Bushes and Reagan. It is precisey is a Repusive-ant get into the White house that the last of our rights, by law, will be stripped from us. THe majority court, right down the Repusive-ant part line, has just decided that jaywalkers could be subject to invasive strip searches, without even having been tried in court!

This Administration leaves a WHOLE LOT to be desired, but if you want to see a permanent lifetime appointment lock on fascism, allow a Repusive-ant into the White House to decide all upcoming federal judicial appointments.

(Or did I misunderstand what you wrote?)

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Sorry. I corrected it. Thanks!

[-] 0 points by epa1nter (4650) from Rutherford, NJ 11 years ago

I don't see the correction. It still reads that if you let Obama take office again, you will get a worse Supreme Court.

Maybe you should go over the grammar of that first sentence again.

[-] -1 points by po6059 (72) 11 years ago

What child,........... you and your little ows friends can't bring yourselves to type in " repubilican". How very Jr High of you.

Therefor, they are (R)epelican'ts

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

With Teddy's morality that would be probably be ok. Maybe that will satisfy his wild ways so that he doesn't turn up dead or in jail after the election as he said with those pearls of wisdom coming from his wayward mouth.

The Puzzler

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

Agreed absolutely. He went from badass rocker to one of the biggest douche-bags in the music industry. He is irrelevant and needs to go away.

[-] 3 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

SO true. Sadly he was one of the first concerts I went to. But fortunately, Black Sabbath head-lined the concert in '76, they rocked. I remember Nugent he was a loud a$$. I mean loud to the point of am I going to lose my hearing loud. He was brazen back in the day. Now he's moving at light speed. Time to turn off this man's microphone for good. We don't need these hate spewers!!!

The Puzzler

[-] 3 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

This is true for me too. I liked some of his stuff. Funny how knowing how far right this idiot has gone does make his music less desirable. Just another mad angry tea party baggart.

[-] 1 points by PeterKropotkin (1050) from Oakland, CA 11 years ago

This may be the biggest waste of thread space I have ever seen on this forum. I'm not sure what to make of it. I could hardly think of a more irrelevant topic about a more irrelevant celebrity than this. I would hope that this forum would be above tabloid gossip but I guess I'm wrong. Of all the topics that could be posted here all of the serious threats to humanity and the solutions and tactics we could be discussing . We are talking about Ted Nugent. Explain to me please how this is relevant to OWS? I honestly don't know why I keep coming back here. A masochistic streak I guess? I suppose when the election rolls around there will be much disscusion on who the Kardashians are voting for. This forum becomes more and more like the huffington post comments section everyday.

[-] 1 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

Ted has always been a loudmouth. Doesn’t play my kind of music so I can’t comment on that. When he moved to Waco, TX he wrote a column for the local newspaper for about a year. He so inflamed the liberals in Waco that they canceled his column (yes, there are liberals in Waco. Five I think).

However. He is a strong gun advocate, so I give him a pass on his big mouth.

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

So, what, they want to carry around Uzis now. Aren't the gun laws lax enough with this stand your ground and kill anyone you wish law.

How about we shoot you first and then say you were threat. Case closed. Oh, are trying to say something. We can't hear you because your dead. You'll need to speak up or we will have to assume your killing was justified. Because your killer said so, :D Seeee Yaaaaa.

The Puzzler

[-] 1 points by jbgramps (159) 11 years ago

What is gained by taking people’s ability to defend themselves? Aren’t enough innocent people already getting hurt and killed? How do you propose people defend themselves? All legal gun owners want is to be able to defend themselves. What’s wrong with that?

But I digress, This thread was about Ted shooting off his mouth; and I guess his .308 hunting rifle also since they tagged him on that. Bottom line is Ted’s heart is in the right place, even if his mouth is a dangerous weapon.

You wouldn't know a "great guitar player" if he shoved a Jackson headstock up your ass and beat you over the head with a Floyd. Moron!!

[-] 3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I do and Ted ain't one of them.

Vai or Malstream would play him under the table any day of the week.

Ted's a one trick pony.

[-] -1 points by prevere (-56) 11 years ago

You're such a fucking idiot. Sure Vai is great so is Wingwang but so is Ted. Obviously your only criteria for judging a guitarist is how fast he can play, cause it just blows your mind I'll bet. Get over it,there's more to a guitarist than E harmonic Minor Arpeggio's and whammy bar gymnastics. I know,I play'em.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Good luck with your career.

I advise you to call every other guitarist names, I'm sure that will help you go far.

Teds a one trick pony. He's been one since he broke up the Amboy Dukes.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Hey shooz - other than for slapping or juggling trolls to get a good cardio work-out is there any reason to pay attention to this post?

Just me being curious as to how best spend my time - exercise/fun or real work. So I wanted to identify this post. Fun? or Work.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Mostly fun, as I'm not going to waste time explaining real guitar talent to someone hung up on heavy metal.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Got to get the R&R where we can find it. Have fun!!!!!!!

[-] -1 points by prevere (-56) 11 years ago

How can you explain what you don't know? If you ain't into "heavy metal" than your opinion is ignorant and uninformed, but that would be nothing new for you concerning most subjects.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I guess that's why I named you two of the best.

Metal guitar work can be excellent, but I don't care for the distorted vocals.

Neugent? I haven't liked him since he left the Amboy Dukes.

I find I prefer guitarists with a better sense of subtlety.

[-] 0 points by prevere (-56) 11 years ago

Okay, fair enough. I respect your opinion and would add this: I can agree that there are many "metal guitarist's" that do suck both technically and style wise and couldn't play their way out of a wet paper sack, they just use volume and distortion as a crutch. But there are quite a few metal guitarist's that employ subtlety, technique and tremendous style. Ted is not a jack of all musical trades,he does what he does very well. He never said or made out to be anything other than the rock guitarist that he is.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

i like understandable lyrics

heavy metal takes some q from classical

[-] -1 points by prevere (-56) 11 years ago

All guitarist's are really "one trick" ponies. Some just have a very colorful and unique spin on that one trick. Discounting Ted's talent and demeaning his talent because you disapprove of his ideology and comments show's a very small, closed mind.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

REally??

Buddy Guy is a one trick pony?

Pat Metheny is a one trick pony?

Perhaps it's your ear that's a one trick pony.

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Oh yeah, just heard some hate spewing from his most recent interview coming from his mouth. Shit still comes from his mouth and, prevere, I guess you can relate to that and instead of seeing it as rude, you applaud the filth.

How old are you? 14?

Up to -48 I see. Chalking up those negatives in rapid secession. Still spewing I would assume. Too bad they don't relate to you like you love your hero Teddy.

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Ted Nugent on APARTHEID:

"Apartheid isn't that cut and dry. All men are not created equal. The preponderance of South Africa is a different breed of man. I mean that with no disrespect. I say that with great respect. I love them because I'm one of them. They are still people of the earth, but they are different. They still put bones in their noses, they still walk around naked, they wipe their butts with their hands." -- Detroit Free Press Magazine

It's true that Ted can say whatever he wants. We know this hate spewer by the words he has chosen to give us. We're listening Ted!!!

Live by the word, die by it. Many have done this exactly. It's only thing we have to talk with anybody reading this, right now. Or we would not know any of this right now.

In 1971, during my junior year, my first at CAL, my housemates at Barrington Hall students co-op and I noticed my guitar playing was being duped, note-for-note, even if I played a solid body, without an amp. Who do you suppose could do THAT? NSA? AT&T?Certainly, all major record companies and many corporate plagiarists turnhed up, with exact, note-for-note copies, of what I played, INCLUDING TED NUGENT AND THE OTHER BANDS HE APPEARED WITH, IN THE 70s. So I stopped playing, when one of my buddies confessed his Mom was a Bill Graham attorney, and he knew the Stones covers I was trying to get him to play in a band were not actually covers, but stuff I had played at Barrington, then to be made into backup for Jagger. So don't pay to download lousy Ted Nugent, when Franke Marino played better dupe, and at least he sang: "I'm taking your music away, if you don't mind." I mind, but what attorney would help me? OWS, with no fear, but the pigs werte listening, probably since 1948, when the NSA was established, thereby undermining USCA 4,5, and 14, right away.

Can we get in trouble for this?

Van Jones is a friend of the president and his clan. He said what he said.

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

And from one man's opinion you get this: "It would seem that anyone who disagrees with the left should "shut their mouths"

Does that sound reasonable to you?

Or is it a Generalization based upon one man's opinion?

[-] 0 points by toonces (-117) 11 years ago

"One man's opinion" would be one man very high up in the power structure of the Obama administration.

it's like this,.............................with the ows and lib/dem twits, you're entitled to free speech, as long as you agree with them.

[-] -1 points by SPAR23 (25) 11 years ago

This is just like with Hank WIlliams Jr. he was fired for comparing Obama to Hitler, now if anything that is the loss of freedom.

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

People who rant about freedom are often the first to claim more than their share.

[-] 1 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 11 years ago

Yeah, I guess so, if that's what you all call the free market.

But I thought the free market is free. If the market was acting freely in deciding who would present Monday Football and when they decided to fire Williams they were in fact exercising their freedom. This is what the law is in all right to work states. The employer has to right to fire an employee at will (but not discrimination) just like the employee may quit at any time.

His opinion is like his A$$ hat. We all have them. If they attract an audience maybe you get paid. I think Hank has plenty of $$$, don't you?

[-] 0 points by SPAR23 (25) 11 years ago

Its not about that., its about how liberals always say not to sensor them and they can say what they want. But when a conservative starts saying things they get really angry just like the guy that made this forum post because someone with a different view is bashing their political views.

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

It isn't "sensor", it is "censor." I can see that you are new to this planet (36). We have gravity here. Your generalizations are suspect at best and you offer them with no support and seem intended to stir up trouble. Would you like to offer something, A) based on facts, B) useful and C) consistent with the purpose of the site (not cite)?

[-] 1 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 11 years ago

Sorry this one is about image and money, nothing to do with free speech. It's the free market. Nothing about free speech! Hank can say whatever he wants, and no one has to employ him either!

[-] 0 points by SPAR23 (25) 11 years ago

Hank ws just an example. Nugent is about liberals getting pissy when someone goes against their views and being hypocrites.

[-] -1 points by SPAR23 (25) 11 years ago

This is a classic example of when the liberals attack a conservative for voicing their veiws. When liberals or democrats spew hate about Busch or Republicans it is allright but when someone againts their views they are obviously evil. How is he hate spewing, he is just voicing his opinion in a staunch way.

[-] 3 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

To what Ted said: "We are patriots, we are bravehearts. *We need to ride into that battlefield, and chop their heads off in November."

Spar says: "How is he hate spewing, he is just voicing his opinion in a staunch way."

To which I say: "Thanks Spar, I think I do have a close affection for my head for some deep reason. I would rather keep it. Do you mind?"

Also, I got you down for two wrongs make one right, that is, the argument that if they do it, then I can do it. Common argument, especially from those who aren't thinking too critically.

The Puzzler

[-] -2 points by SPAR23 (25) 11 years ago

Okay buddy first off the whole head cutting thing was just an empahsis on how much the Obama administration needs to get out. He wasnt literally talking about chopping off heads. Also youre not cool for putting the puzzler crap at the end of each comment.

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

"We don't expect moderation from Ted Nugent," said Michael Keegan, president of People For the American Way. "But we do expect a major presidential candidate like Mitt Romney to rebuke a prominent supporter for spewing hate-filled and violent rhetoric against the President of the United States."

I think Michael and I agree that there's hate when it comes to chopping heads. If the Secret Service didn't talk to Teddy, they would not be doing their job.

The Puzzler

[-] 0 points by SPAR23 (25) 11 years ago

Again he wasnt literally talking anout chopping of heads. Romeny is not going to rebuke Nugent because he was voicing his opinion. Besides the Secret Service would not talk to him you idiot. This again is a classic situation where liberals attack a conservative for bashing their political views and they want to shut him up. Even when Liberals always say not to sensor them but they try to sensor others with political views.

[-] 3 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Spar drops yet another pearl of wisdom: "Besides the Secret Service would not talk to him you idiot."

So if your wrong what does that make you, a third grader?

They plan on talking to him tomorrow, in person.

Get you get anything you say right?

No, let Teddy talk. He can talk. Nobody stopped him during his rant. Would you like him as your spokesman? I'm sure he has much more to say.

You like his attitude don't you?

Do you feel that your a fair representation of a conservative? I do.

The Puzzler

[-] 0 points by SPAR23 (25) 11 years ago

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Yeah, ALI, he refused the draft openly and he went to jail for it. He stood tall for what he believed.

Ted Nugent sneaked out by pulling a sham on the draft board. He's a nut job and always has been one. If this is what makes TOUGH, then I have the whole world backwards. Good is bad, and Bad is good.

[-] -2 points by toonces (-117) 11 years ago

"...the media is aggressively reporting on, highlighting and pursuing any and all possible threats to President Obama — and even hints of threats — but they purposely glossed over, ignored or failed to report similar threats to President Bush."... http://www.zombietime.com/zomblog/?p=621

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

And that is BS. I remember otherwise. Many of us from get go knew these Wars were total sham but if any of us progressives talked like that in public we were labeled UNAmerican, UNPatriotic. Maybe a terrorist, or terrorist lover. You get the drift. Man, you have selective memory, don't you?

Yeah we remember that compassionate conservative.

So, let's see, are you a Bush defender?

[-] -1 points by toonces (-117) 11 years ago

No, I am not a fan of the progressive, one world government, Presidents (Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama). I am just pointing out the hypocrisy of the media. It would seem you have selective indignation. A citizen calling someone un-American is nowhere near the weight of threatening the life or well being of the President.

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Oh, so two wrongs make a right for you toonces. Good for them, good for you, all is well in your two wrongs = one right world. Just find yourself that easy excuse and man you could do just about anything with your impeccable justification. You have got it made. One size fits ALL

Puzzler

[-] -2 points by toonces (-117) 11 years ago

The difference is that Nugent used a metaphor: 1. a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance, as in “A mighty fortress is our God.” Compare mixed metaphor, simile ( def. 1 ) . 2. something used, or regarded as being used, to represent something else; emblem; symbol.

The examples I gave literally threatened President Bush with death.

Just pointing out that the media is making a huge stink about what Nugent said, yet made no such indignation when President Bush was literally threatened.

[-] -2 points by Zombiefighter (-16) from Ione, CA 11 years ago

Why do you care what he thinks? And I've seen just as much hate spewing nonsense from left wing crap bags.

[-] -3 points by toonces (-117) 11 years ago

No worse than what people said and did to President Bush when he was in office.

[-] 3 points by Puzzlin (2898) 11 years ago

Like give me an example plz. ANd it wasn't the Dixie Chicks, all they said was they ashamed of our president. Pretty moderate. Nugent is chopping off the heads of so called evil doers. Teddy doesn't mince words.
