Walmart is heaven for those who are newer to this country and are taking more remedial jobs until they can work their way up.

Walmart is also heaven for senior citizens living on social security.

These buyers don't see a problem with most of Walmart's product coming from overseas because the lower cost helps them make it from month to month.

Walmart is the price we pay for a very healthy influx of immigrants every year.

Excellent. Every campaign has a start. This may prove to be significant.

Good luck to the workers, but seventy workers of over a million at the world's largest private employers, probably will not affect even a single store's operations.

The best move against Walmart is to organize boycotts that will strike the company where it hurts. The United Farm Workers, led by Cesar Chavez, changed the entire farm industry and especially labor relations through a well-publicized and long-term boycott with targeted labor disruptions.

Exactly. A one day battle with no clear objective will not win the war. Same with Occupy. We need an organized long term battle plan. Not these one day feel good love fests that don't move the enemy back an inch.

This forum is a perfect example of Occupy's lack of direction. MLK, Ghandi, and Chavez were focused and were successful. We are neither.

Working people can only succeed through a prolonged, targeted battle. The remnants of any appeasement given to the workers have rapidly disappeared. The only way workers can win lies in unity, focus, and unwavering dedication to relentlessly engage the oppressors.

It only gets organized by a strong will from the people. Someone said "When the student is ready to learn, the teacher appears"..

We are not ready to learn in this country yet. We may be in the future, but as of right now, things like football are still more important.
