Vote away the Gray! Vote the elderly out of Congress and the Senate.

If you are under 40 why have a n 85 yr man run your government and make your laws, would you fly on a jet with him as a pilot?

It doesn't matter which party, they are all the same living in another era and world.

People under 40 now own the country, run it your way and pass laws not built on prejudice and payoffs but laws that reflect your values.

VOTE AWAY THE GRAY!

Vote away the Gray! Replace Congress and the Senate.

I've seen plenty of politicians under the age of 85 make ignorant policy.

Age is NOT the determining factor here.

Why not vote out any politician that EVER backed policy written by ALEC?

That makes a lot more sense to me.

I was mostly talking about Mitch McConnell, Harry Reid, John McCain and the rest of the club. They all love war because that is where their money is, they hate contraception cause they can't use it. They still see minorities as a problem and think they know what is best for women.

Yeah, I agree with shooz. Age isn't really an issue, its people that are making careers out of staying in Congress for 10-20+ years. I want Congress to be constantly rotating people so that new ideas are constantly flowing through it, and maybe real bills can be passed for a change!

All the more reason to have a very involved public to keep an eye on the store as newbies can be as harmful as old hands. Either way the public = The People need to own the political system and take part in directing action or denying it.

Yeah, apathy is NOT the way to cultivate a healthy government, as more people are slowly realizing.

Discrimination against the elderly is exceedingly counterproductive for a movement like yours. Just ask 50- and 60-year-olds how easy it is for them to find work if you want to know where their sympathies lie. Think about how many civil liberties the geriatric FDR justices on the Supreme Court have preserved, which would otherwise have been abandoned by this country. And specifically, I'm thinking of the elderly Arlen Specter, who was once a sane voice for national investment in scientific research, before both parties traded him in for younger alternatives. We need to look at the candidates as individuals, not give in to mindless prejudice.

What if they are bald?

How about we just vote them ALL away?

You mean like Paul Ryan? Oh, wait, he's only 42.

Right now, people under 40 are completely impotent. Retirees and baby boomers dominate and will continue todominate for another 25 years.

This is about as smart as voting party line. Why not look at the merits and records of a candidate? Then make an intelligent decision.

Many people don't like that because then they may not fully support the person in their party of choice. It is the ignorance of the electorate that keeps us in a two party system and the two parties wouldn't have it any other way.
