Every indication since the 1st of March is that this forum is once again dominated by our opponents. Most posts and comments have a clearly anti-occupation strategy behind them, and those anti-Occupy comments are voted up by bots, while legitimate posts are voted down. The huge volume of this traffic stifles the effectivness of this forum, once again.
We need to know what is up here.

This has very serious implications for this movement. This is the information age. Our ability to project our ideas here is powerful because those ideas are spread exponentially through social media, and this forum is where those ideas are primarily desciminated. That makes this forum important, and they know that, even while they try to convince us that it is not.
Any whistleblowers out there willing to use a one time username to tell us what is going down here? Anyone in the movement in touch with jart that can tell her we need to hear from her and from moderation?
My primary concern is for their safety, and by extention the safety of all involved.
Perhaps if we supporters left for a few days and let the bots and trolls talk to each other, someone would notice.......?
I know I've mailed abuse, and got no response. I'm sure others have too.

Yes, time to cogitate. If they take over this forum then it is of no use to us, and we may have to abandon it and reorganize.
I've been trying to make contact through the chatroom, and having little luck there either.
I know that after 4mos of this, and now bots all over, it's getting to be a bit much.

Absolutely, I agree. The tone of this forum changed literally overnight, just after the Feb. 29 protests. And I really want to here from jart and agnosticnixie! We are not playing games here, and if we don't hear something soon, we better make an effort to know that they are alright.

This is a very valid conserdation to make. Especially so, as posts are still being deleted. So there's definitely still active mods around at times.
This forum is in a sad state, but some posters do make it worthwhile to stick around.
I definately think it's worthwhile - we must simply be allert to the need to clean it up when necessary, and understand the determination of our opponents to render it inneffective. That sometimes takes innitiative on our part, collectively.

Yes, we do have these flurries at times. I have come to accept them as they do seem find the brick wall eventually. Funny part, with as lead way they get, which is substantial, they feel persecuted.

Hey Marlow, thanks for the input. I do believe in ignoring the trolls whenever possible. I also believe in confronting wrong thinking so that it does not pass as being rational due to a lapse of attention.

Yeah, that's one clear indication. Some bullshit remark by some troll the other day got 25 upvotes. I've never seen anyone here get 25 upvotes, and unfortunately, higher scores here give posters higher credibility. It is just one example of their effort to once again dominate this forum.
Down voting them does no good for the same reason, they get bot voted back-up. About the only thing I can suggest is we ignore all troll posts, and support good posts and comments as best we can. while slapping down troll comments at least once per troll attack.

I'm here too, but there is no meaningful agreement upon solution and that is the only thing that will be effective. If we go elsewhere, where discussion is not buried in sensational, redundancy, agree, then return with the refined agreement to focus on one thread with a number of us who are sincere, we have an impact.
