"progressive " is the code word for marxism
"Progress" means a number of things, but I think Human Progress is what all self-labeled progressives are striving for. Marxists are ideological, not necessarily concerned with finding what is most "progressive" for humanity.
the democrat party used to be the democrat party, now its so far left it's off the chart. they are the "progressives, the marxists.
I think Obamacrats are a mix of neo-liberals and their dupes, which include marxists. But that's really just the Obama fans on the so-called "Left".
I wouldn't label the entire Democratic Party "marxists" just like I wouldn't label the entire Republican Party "neo-cons", even if those policies dominate under their parties' presidents' administrations.
