Watching some of the Rethuglicans attempt to distance themselves after the fact is almost funny. They know that the backlash from this is going to do severe damage. That's why they voted to provide for back pay as fast as they did. The federal employees started protesting. And Randy Neugebauer was such a condescending piece of shit that he will forever be known as a douche.

if they are serious they can sign the discharge petition and since there are supposedly only 80 of them in the house supporting shutdown there is no reason why an overwhelming majority could not sign it in the house.

What is interesting is that the conversation captured that shows rand paul and McConnell discussing strategy makes it appear that the teaparty is integrated with the established pillars of gop policy making.

you lead the charge while I cover my rear . . . .

I want to see them all swing

The fukers need to stand up and sign the discharge petition

I doubt they will. That is where the rubber would meet the road and it won't happen.

and I hope every single one of them pays for their lack of willingness to stand up and do the right thing. fukers

Oh, but they will. See, the greatest failure that these clowns made is that they just burned everyone.

I didn't get past the first page. The blatant criticism of the President completely disregards the political reality in DC - demonstrated very clearly with the announcement before hand that there would be two responses to the President:

One from the Tea Party, and one from Senator Rand Paul. Now I ask you: What the fuk is the difference?

This is the paradox. So much good data, outrage and public-minded intentions, but wielded in a self-defeating way. Youth? Stupidity? Sabotage? "The system is corrupt!" Yes, dear bunny, with our tacit rejection of our democracy, what do you expect? The politicians are all corrupt! Yes, we let Big-$ control who can run for office, but good people still slip in. We have to work with what we have to make improvements, and we have much neglected work to do. Time to get busy.

Another Dirty Trick: GOP Creates Websites To Fool Democrats Into Giving Them Cash

A Florida man who wanted to donate money to a Democrat ended up donating to the GOP because of a misleading website.
