I am sure I will get the usual heat “just trying to pull us into politics”, but I post this story, because in spite of the 4th paragraph:

“But if this GOP primary is any indication of how the general election will unfold, outside groups figure to play an outsized role in Nebraska. In total, third-party organizations poured nearly $3 million into the race. The outside spending, operatives say, helped make the difference for Fischer.”

The “outside” money didn’t win, at least not in this republican primary. I know nothing of the winner here. This is not an endorsement of anyone, just a reflection on a case where one spent $3.5 million another around $3 million looks like, and both were beaten by someone who spent around $600,000 so I would say sometimes people see though the ads, it’s a sign of hope I think.

So if it talks about money affecting the system, but not in a taking sides sort of way, people don't want to talk about that?
