Absolutely. They are not scrooges to themselves or their own kind, only to their staff, like Bob Cratchit.

They could use a good visit from a ghost or three.

Maybe. I have given up with them. They are a million times worse than scrooge. This have been selfish and greedy from the day they were born. The banking executive is complete evil incarnate.

Most of the system and money was in place long before the execs of today were born...they are just carrying on in old ways (but adding some new vile tricks).

Nope. This phenomenon is very recent. People didn't used to be this greedy. Also, executives used to be responsible for far more. An Assistant Director I knew of a bank was on $150,000 pa. He was in charge of all the global operations department of a bank. An Assistant Director is the lowest rung of the bank's executive team. He or she will typically have three General Managers and about 20 Chief Managers reporting to them. My daughter said she knew an Assistant Director in New York and he was only responsible for two people, and earned about 5 million. The bank execs have become greedy. Goodness only knows what a Vice President is earning.

Well there have been some peaks and valleys in our history (we went through the time of the robber barons and such). I think the greed has always been there, but apathy on the part of the people helped feed that greed and let it grow to its current monstrous proportions. You offer a good example. I worked for a large company where we were told if we wanted to take notes, to bring notebooks from home. The CEO made over 25 million per year.

Thank, divineright. Incredible! We must get dossiers on these people. Start with your CEO!
