When only 25% of the people in this country vote!
Or how about the 50% that pay no taxes...wonder what's going to happen when the wealthy all denounce their citizenship (as one business owner in NC did recently) and move to the carribean...who's going to pay for your ipad's then guys?
Why bother voting when the 1% are just going to purchase elected officials anyway?

Obama/McCain? The President really has limited powers. Its the House/Senate that is the biggest issue. With only 25% of the population voting how can you effect change? The answer is you can't.
On a local level, "Voters" will support the candidate that gives them the most of what they want. Therefore you have the two party system. Trying to play outside of that system will never work. So the answer is, get involved in the process. Not what you are doing on Wall Street.
Tried that for 20 years. Moved 16 tons and what'd I get? another day older and deeper in debt.
