Forum Post: They Screamed From The Rooftops ~ Why Didn't We Listen To Their Warnings?

It seems that some have been screaming the truth from the rooftops for over 200 years. Why are we so intent on keeping our ear plugs firmly in place?

Lets make a solemn promise to ourselves and each other...to start talking openly to our children about these things...so they are not kept in the dark like we were. Just start talking. Open the conversation up anywhere you can...at the dinner table, in the car, walking to the park...with a simple question about politics, energy, the banking system, the future, etc, etc. The topics are virtually endless. And then let them talk. You'll be amazed at how smart they are. They have an intuitive understanding that would put many politicians to shame.

Verified Warnings From Former U.S. Presidents And Public Officials About the “Invisible Government” Running the U.S. With “No Allegiance To the People”

When I read these ‘warnings’ one behind the other, it really sinks in how we’ve been ‘groomed’ and manipulated for centuries.

Here are a few quotes that made my skin crawl;

“There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself.”

~~ Daniel K. Inouye, US Senator from Hawaii, testimony at the Iran Contra Hearings, 1986

“Today the path to total dictatorship in the U.S. can be laid by strictly legal means… We have a well-organized political-action group in this country, determined to destroy our Constitution and establish a one-party state… It operates secretly, silently, continuously to transform our Government… This ruthless power-seeking elite is a disease of our century… This group…is answerable neither to the President, the Congress, nor the courts. It is practically irremovable.”

~~ Senator William Jenner, 1954 speech

“The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent.”

~~ J. Edgar Hoover, The Elks Magazine, 1956

“Mr. Chairman, we have in this country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks. The Federal Reserve Board, a Government board, has cheated the Government of the United States and the people of the United States out of enough money to pay the national debt…Mr. Chairman, when the Federal Reserve act was passed, the people of the United States did not perceive that a world system was being set up here… and that this country was to supply financial power to an international superstate — a superstate controlled by international bankers and international industrialists acting together to enslave the world for their own pleasure.”

~~ Congressman Louis T. McFadden, from a speech delivered to the House of Representatives on June 10, 1932

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”

~~ Henry Ford (I don’t know the date)

“Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world.”

~~ Henry Kissinger, 1973

“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world.

No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.”

~~ Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) 28th US President Date: 1916

“If the people knew what we had done, they would chase us down the street and lynch us.”

~~ George HW Bush

Lets also affirm that we will not live in fear, but with hope....and commit to bridging hope with action.

There is strength building in even small individual actions in our daily lives. Like telling one person a day just a sentence or two to get them thinking. Maybe invite them to this website. Or transferring our banking over to a local credit union. Or shopping at our local farmers market. Start using terms in your regular conversations with people where you can, like 'Oligarchs', 'globalists', 'ruling elite', 'fractional banking' and so on.

These small points bear reminding every so often... AND ....remember to stop for a few moments each day, and find joy in the moment...a little balance.

Good man Zendog...good man.

They thrive on scaring the 'you know what' out of us.

For those of us who haven't quite gotten there yet...there's a wonderful saying who's message I've used a time or two...

~ "feel the fear....then do it anyway" ~

Perspective is a great gift to oneself. It washes away a multitude of stresses and allows for finding joy by living in the moment.

Hopefully the younger people who may have to fight this fight...will live long enough to contemplate their own mortality.

[-] -3 points by Lucky1 (-125) from Wray, CO 11 years ago

Nope. I want to know what fuckin rebels. OWS has disappeared. Their party is imploding. What y'all gonna do?

[-] 2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

It's alive and well in Tampa. The same numbers as last fall? No.

Good group of core people doing things? Yes.

And what party would that be? Because its anarchists, socialists, communists, libertarians and the mess in the middle that make up Occupy. So what party did the TV tell you?

[-] 1 points by Lucky1 (-125) from Wray, CO 11 years ago

Okay. So you have identified your party as one of the hard left. Ever think that most citizens are not enamoured of the hard left.

[-] 3 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Um libertarians are not hard left. Anarchists are not hard left. I can see the communism and socialist link.

And the mess in the middle? Those are hard left in your mind too?

The majority of citizens are tired of the banking cartel and bought politicians. Im assuming that is why you are here?

Yes. But a "mess in the middle" is simply rationalization. So called "moderates" are just drones that are more concerned with alcohol, football and sex.
