Forum Post: “There will be poor always, pathetically struggling..” (and some of them will be white men)

The GOP feeds on pissed off white guys, people who are having a tough time are easy to piss off. The GOP can’t have them getting pissed off at who is responsible, that’s their bosses, so they have used minorities for decades to blame, (not the first to do this, it can turn out badly) as America becomes less “white guy” controlled this is bad for them, right now the solution they have decide on is to decide on who can vote, we’ll have to see how that works out for them.

Update: 11/13/12 OK so they depend on angry white women too, sorry didn't mean to be sexist.

Maybe they're forgetting that close to half the population doesn't vote already.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

Hope they do.

I guess I've pissed just about everybody off, but I didn't come here to make friends, I came here to kick one of the legs out from under the two party system and bring it down, not the first time I've seen stuff a little different than others, I put a few zeros on the account doing that

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

the Greens have a super majority?

[-] 1 points by fairforall (279) 11 years ago

wow. this is as silly as saying the democrat party must feed off pissed-off blacks, hispanics and asians. some people can't see past colour.

So white men are the enemy of all others? Okay...

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Do you think the GOP has brainwashed all white men? or just the stupid ones?

[-] 1 points by Coyote88 (-24) 11 years ago

You didn't answer the question.

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

only if your premise is that the GOP has brainwash all white men I doubt that is the case....they are working on white women too

This was a comment elsewhere, but i'd like it here. I hope that's ok.

If you put legislation on a website you're going to loose almost your entire audience. People don't want to be politicians, or have to learn anything which is not part of their own living, and we shouldn't have to ask them to. We shouldn't need a planet full of politicians just to make a good decision.

The solution to corruption is democracy. The solution to democracy is public awareness, and the solution to that is communication. So what is the solution to communication? How can we make a powerhouse of information and organisation be easy enough for people to find and participate with. How uncorruptable can a website be made?

You don't need a leader. Just people. Just fight. The battle is your own motivation. Fight the feeling of smallness, bordom and tiredness, the unknowing of some unstopable evil, your self doubt and the chaos which smoothers us in uncertainty. Fight because we know the right things are not happening.

I took a walk the other day in the sun, ate apples from a tree, played guitar with some friends, and fell asleep on a hill looking up at shooting stars while being caresed by a warm wind. There is a huge difference between being homeless and poor. Poor is when you believe everything they told you.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I think that a great deal of effort has been put into making people think certain ways, I think simple truth can shatter those lies, I believe by telling the truth one by one we will change everything, but if we lie, we are no better than those that built the current system, that's why I say we must kill the GOP to survive because it is the truth, it is not out of love for the Ds

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

I heard in the Mid 90s that most people on welfare were White. So there have always been poor whites. I guess conservatives are traditionalist and are Work Ethicist. The Work Ethic is like the most enduring WASP and Cathlic Value.

US went through mini revolutions that conservatives ignore

1) TV Revolution 2) Sex, Drugs, Activism Revolution of 60-70s.
3) Computer Revolution 4) Cell Phone Revolution 5) Xbox, Playstation, Online games Revolution 6) Civil Rights 7) Women in the Work Force & Military 8) Worker RIghts

US is Ethnocentric in how it views history. But diversity will bring us all to more progressive values even if we are not willing or acting for progress.

Yes, the executives and congressmen are to blame for the financial crisis. I guess we can blame Bill Clinton too.

Maybe this is a case of we shouldn't blame Dems or Reps. The battle between the parties doesn't get us anywhere. The Battle is Corruption and Financial Schemes.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Most people on welfare are white, there are simply more white people than any other single group and will be for quite awhile despite all the consternation you hear about it.

http://theobamacrat.com/2012/01/05/welfare-recipients-which-race-gets-more-benefits/

[-] -1 points by Nowsmichigan (-310) 11 years ago

The reason why there is more white people on welfare than blacks is because blacks cannot collect welfare in prison. African Americans are incarcerated at nearly six times the rate of whites

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

No it's not, it's because they are more poor white people, welfare was started because of poor white people in coal mining country mostly.

The drug laws are not enforced equally.

It should be remembered that (R)ich Republican business owners don't really believe in Democracy, so it is not surprising that the Republicans have engaged in voter suppression. If the (R)ich believed in Democracy they would convert their business entities from Corporations to Cooperatives, and thus give all their workers an equal voice/vote in determining how the business is run. But no, they believe in a Dictatorial Top-Down business entity, and this autocratic dictatorial desire extends to the Public sector as well as Private. It is egomania, supreme selfishness, and dangerous.

Is it not sadly ridiculous that the American people possess the power to vote Publicly and not Privately? They have at least some meager say in who will represent them in government, but have no vote in how the business that employs them and provides the means for their very survival will operate. They spend a few minutes every few years (some of them at least) voting for representatives, yet they spend decades of their lives working in business environments where they have no vote/voice.

ALL Corporations should be replaced with Cooperatives where the People determine their own business fate.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Republicans consistently oppose democracy whither it be unions or countries, that's why they like doing business with China so much, they believe, sincerely, that those at the top are best suited to decide things including who should run things at the top. Some, like me feel that those being led should pick the leaders.

Hmmm....is this the new reality or the old reality resurfacing after centuries gone by?

I'm just saying.

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

decide who gets to vote has been a long tradition that is used around the world, I say if you don't get to vote on who's writing the rules then you shouldn't have to follow them. Any country that occupies land where the people are not allowed to vote is a "evil empire".

A poignant reminder of the true history of this nation.

How do we reach the rural struggling white population? The RATpublican economic machine with its vast consolidations has rendered small towns in vast areas of the U.S. into rundown glorified flea markets with a few poverty stricken antique shops, consignment stores, bars and tatoo parlors. Yet they are Republicans. What gives?

I went to a family reunion in Hope, Indiana. The only store was a convenience store at a gas station on the U.S. highway at the edge of town. The old grocery, hardware, etc. stores were all empty shells. Only one restaurant a diner that had just opened up. It still had one business, a vintage ice cream factory.

This was way before 2008, our economy has been hallowed out for a long time, and by design. Globalism is the enemy.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

No man is an island.

Walmart killed the small town.

My home town has been a tourist town since the fifties, I dreamed of escaping busboy hell and getting a union job, but Reagan killed the unions and now the whole country is in busboy hell.

[-] 2 points by nomdeguerre (1775) from Brooklyn, NY 11 years ago

If I recall correctly, Walmart kills three jobs for every two it creates. Yet counties will fight for it, better for it to be in their county rather than the one next door.

On top of everything it lives off government largesse. They pay their employees so poorly that not only can their own employees not shop there, the employees have to go on government food stamps. But better to have some job, rather than no job due to offshoring and open borders (illegal immigration has been encouraged specifically to undercut minimum wage and destroy the lower working class).

Further the six Walmart heirs have more money than the bottom 30% of the population, I believe.

Walmart is everything that is wrong with our capitalism gone wild economy.

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

There should be Class Action Lawsuits against Walmart. Don't know that it is possible, but .... There is a website

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walmart_Watch http://www.walmartsubsidywatch.org/ ($1.2 billion in tax breaks, free land, infrastructure assistance, low-cost financing and outright grants)

Walmart Watch, formed in the spring of 2005, is a joint project of the Center for Community and Corporate Ethics, a non-profit organization studying the impact of large corporations on society and its advocacy arm, Five Stones.[1]

[-] 1 points by nomdeguerre (1775) from Brooklyn, NY 11 years ago

Walmart's the logical outcome of unregulated dog eat dog capitalism. In the end only the most rabid, the most gargantuan ones are left standing.

[-] 1 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

Sounds like a Good Comedy Movie could be built out of the untold story of Walmart. There has to be some back slapping politics and real dirty tricks by guys that act like actors in the "Office" on tv. Maybe Tie in some things similar to "Idiocracy".

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Employers should be required to pay the full cost of providing labor so the taxpayer doesn't have to pick up the difference, many call this a living wage.

The concentration of wealth and its inheritance is the greatest social-political problem we face as a nation, if we do not address it democracy is lost in America and by extension the World.

[-] 1 points by nomdeguerre (1775) from Brooklyn, NY 11 years ago

That's the plan. The corpoRATS want only servile serfs working for them, with no capability of standing up to their depredations -- like the oil industry in Nigeria. Of course they hate democracy -- 'sovereignty of the serfs? Ugh!'

Besides the Sky People wouldn't know they are Sky People, if the can't see the Mud People eating dirt.

[-] 1 points by bullfrogma (448) 11 years ago

Wow. Well said. Every town i know is a tourist town. I feel like i'm in hell.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

We have become a nation ruled by con men, instead of builders.

[-] -2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Globalism is a real bitch. A great restructuring of the global economy is not going to be fun for America.

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

If the GOP can succeed in keeping people they don't like from being allowed to vote, they may be able to keep the world in line for a while given all the nucs we have.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Of course the GOP did fail to suppress the Dem vote. So maybe there is hope.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I have heard that the suppression may have backfired, nothing like making people want something like saying you're taking it away.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Oh without a doubt. The scheming repubs thought they could execute these plans without the people protesting, & the Dems fighting.

There was enough awareness to make all affected disgusted enough to come out BECAUSE of the scheme.

"Instant Karma" baby. "Gonna smack you right in the face" JL

LOL

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Thx. Very enjoyable this morning.

[-] -2 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I dont think the globalists care one bit what the silly letter at the end of some politicians name is. They have owned them both for a very long time, and no one else is getting a chance at competing.

I mean, Boehner and McConnel are pretty much useless except for trolling to the house and voting on some bullshit bills. I dont see anyone outside of Congress taking them very seriously.

I think they do want to make this a very slow decline for America, in order to keep the population from revolting.

[-] 0 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Your blind as a bat, or stupid as shit,

or a GOP troll? Oh yes, that's it!

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I just dont get caught up in all the bullshit. Political discussion has to be deeper than the bullshit on TV,. or there is no advancement.

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

It should be based in reality too, the reality is the GOP must be killed. You support the GOP by trying to draw people into third party bullshit.

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

Off the site you are posting on you twit:

"Angry Mob at Lord Blankcheck’s Front Gate Occupy Goldman Sachs at 15 Central Park West Just days after one of his puppet Presidential candidates wins the Presidency, the People will gather outside the front gate of Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein's (aka Lord Blankcheck) not-so-humble abode. Bring a FAKE pitchfork or torch and join our Toy Mob.

Indeed this is a reminder that, as we close in to the 2012 elections, All Roads Lead to Wall Street. Heads they win, tails we lose; whoever wins the presidency there will be a victory party at Goldman Sachs."....

Although I doubt they will be celebrating, they dont give two shits about the elections they have the population so fuckin brainwashed.

[-] -1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

who the fuck are you quoting you fucking GOP troll

Third world here we come. Obama has proven no help here, we have to create a mass struggle.

[-] -2 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

Mass struggle is not what these white independents are about; they believe wholeheartedly in going it alone.

[-] 1 points by nomdeguerre (1775) from Brooklyn, NY 11 years ago

Alone, they will just get run over. They have this myth that rugged individualism will help them carry the day. It won't.

Somehow they don't recognize their friends or their enemies. However the liberal wing of the Democratic party doesn't understand them or their lifestyle, so why would they fight shoulder to shoulder?

[-] -3 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

The individualists have neither friends or enemies - there is no need. The Dems are no good... This presidency will do nothing more than advance the cause of Rothchild.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

What about the Republicans are they "no good" as well?

[-] 0 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

I'm not crazy about the party of big business, either.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

But you didn't & wouldn't say they are no good huh?

[-] 0 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

There is nothing worse than the stranglehold of our current bankers on the American taxpayer; even if one considers Bush a profiteering war monger, Obama's Libya is no better; in fact, it's far worse - I fail to see how Qaddafi was any more violent or corrupt than Hussein, it appears he was far less so.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Sure. 10 years,1/2 a million troop invasion, almost a million dead in Iraq, is the same as a few weeks, a few thousand killed, no invasion, it's exactly the same.

LMFAO.

You think if you say it enough that makes it so? Very KarlRovian of you. See what happened to Rove & his right wing wacko parrots who dutifully repeated "the polls were wrong, we're gonna win"!

C'mon. So you do not think the republicans are no good? Do you think they are good? Why are you having such a hard time saying it.

[-] 0 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

It is so - there was no reason whatsoever for us to go into Libya. And no reason for excursions into the Congo, either.

The Republicans are the party of big business; the Dems are the party of the banker. The difference is that the political and moral philosophy of a republican is slightly to the right, and if Americans are to live semi-free, it must remain there - in short, with a Republican we can always appeal to the mandate of inner morality; with a Democrat we are left only with an impersonal appeal to humanity. I don't expect you to relate to this because you are one of "them." And not one of "us."

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

But all the bankers gave their money to the republicans this cycle. How do explain that in your bizarro world.?

The Dems are the party of Unions, lawyers, greentech, celebrities, and non profits. Do you even know what you are talkin about?

Republicans inner morality?. LMFAO. You are obviously in the tank for republicans if you believe for one minute that they are moral! (inner or otherwise).

And what does "impersonal appeal to humanity" mean?

[-] 0 points by Saesneg (-166) from Linwood, NJ 11 years ago

It means that we can make a demand on Republicans that they must honor, as a personal appeal.

And here we go again, ehh Mr. Stinkle? This is where I lose the ability to comment and you ban me again.

So I'll tell you straight up - I HATE Democrats, even more than I hate Republicans. Because they are corrupt individuals who prey on weak minded people. And entertain an inner hatred of all working class folk, like me.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Wasn't your comment "impersonal appeal to humanity" about dems?

You are absolutely wrong about republicans.

They have no honor!

And republican/conservative policies are at the root of all our problems.

The post references pissed off white guys. Also "as America becomes less 'white guy' controlled."

A colorist? I'm Welch, that means neither white, black, or brown - color has no bearing, no meaning, no existence, no application derogatory or otherwise - we are the same; we are Welch. This is how I self identify; you might describe me otherwise.

I go with - we are the same - we are human. Thanks for the reply.

True and If you have seen videos on the streets of Greece, that is what is going to look like in the US also

[-] 2 points by nomdeguerre (1775) from Brooklyn, NY 11 years ago

And what's amazing is that the Greek demos have gotten no positive response. The true powers simply don't care about any damage or violence that the demonstrators can inflict. It seems the true powers aren't even in Greece, they are the international criminal bankster class. And of course any bailouts go straight through to them as a reward for their criminal depredations and parasitism.

Rather than violence, the Greeks should organize national general strikes. A complete economic standstill might have an effect.

I don't understand it but the nation state has failed in Europe. They haven't been able to protect their own populations.

[-] -2 points by Nowsmichigan (-310) 11 years ago

I think the violence is caused mainly by the high unemployment, up to 50% that is staggering and I bet a lot of them are real desperate

[-] 2 points by nomdeguerre (1775) from Brooklyn, NY 11 years ago

It seems that that desperation is headed here. Bloomberg and the other sky people may come to regret shutting down OWS's initial effort and not addressing OWS issues.

Never happen! The US is nothing like Greece. Are you joking?
