Forum Post: The way OWS is being attacked in the media now

Posted 12 years ago on Nov. 30, 2011, 3:17 p.m. EST by gmknobl (0) from Blacksburg, VA
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

and by whisper campaigns:

That we are lazy and feel entitled, asking for that for which we did not work.

It's hard to counter this but it must be stated to every media person that this is what the 1% people are and the 99% aren't! We work hard and they sit around lazily feeling entitled to their riches they did NOT work for! And THAT is what we are protesting.

You might point out that this argument is what medieval tyrants used time and time again to keep the peasants poor. And that is what the 1% feel they are, overlords of us all. They feel entitled! They hate what little freedom we have left and want to destroy it!

God bless OWS! Keep up the good work!

OWS have put the demoCRAZY deMOCKERYcy in The U$A with its faux choice between 'Demoblican and Republocrat' firmly and permanently on the political and socio-economic agenda.

The Government of The 99% .. by a ~1% .. for the ~ 0.01% is being increasingly dragged out into The Light and exposed & The Rancid, Rabid, Reactionary, Right-Wing 'Corporatists' and their wholly owned 'ABCNNBCBS-FUX SNEWzz', M.S.M. absolutely f**kin' HATE it ... and GOOD ... because that is exactly what we should expect !!!

It hasn't even been two whole months yet and look at the impact throughout the US, the UK and World wide !! 'OWS' is NOT a just a symbolic geographical location ... it's a State Of Mind !

The MOVEMENT is yet to fully organise !!

Things have Only Just Got Started !!!

Over Two Million People were on strike today in The UK in defence of their pension rights and there were many, many '99%' signs and placards on the 1000+ UKwide marches and demonstrations. People everywhere are increasing joining the dots and getting a view of The Full & Bigger Picture.

Friend- follow ows person- please notice that you "said WE"! By them attaching ows- they are making us stronger and increasing our numbers.-- that is the way non violent protest works- we force them to respond- and every time they respond- we gain strength, in numbers- until the sheer mass of millions of people bring them down. training web page http://tinyurl.com/7rvpv43

"That we are lazy and feel entitled, asking for that for which we did not work."

do you deny there are many in ows who do, in fact, fit this description? until you do, ows will go nowhere.

"It's hard to counter this but it must be stated to every media person that this is what the 1% people are and the 99% aren't!"

that is simply not true. many 1%ers worked their assess off to become a 1%er. until you stop denying this reality, ows goes nowhere.

there are undoubtedly many lazy shits in the top 1% who did nothing to get there. then there are people like this...

It's going to be hard to convince the American people that OWS is the hard workers. I mean have you seen the videos? It's a bunch of hippie/liberal arts majors with nothing better to do. Top it off by disrupting the lives of the 99%, having no clear leaders or goals, being unsanitary, and being violent ( i know not all of you are but it has gotten out of hand in places and you all know it).

The issue is that there are unfilled jobs out there, and here are thousands of people spending all their time and effort sitting on wall street telling rich people they owe us. I understand you are unemployed, and so many of you have had jobs where you worked hard and just got unlucky. But that last part is left out in the media. They don't forget to leave out the people who never had a job though.

The problem that the media is having, and will continue to have, is that when they talked about the protests in other countries they managed to have looks of horror of the suppression of the people by the media.

Unfortunately, now they look like shit and the whole world is laughing at them.

But, the best part of all of this is that the media was never actually talking to you in the first place. The news is not for you. Which class of people is the news for?
