Hillary Clinton Corrupt to the Core.

Excerpts from an article by Justin Raimondo; http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article41665.htm

The income stream of the Clinton Foundation, which includes many millions of dollars from foreign governments and individuals with close links to foreign governments, has created a firestorm of controversy. A forthcoming book, Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich, by Peter Schweizer, contends that, during her tenure as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton granted favors and concessions to governments that were generous in their donations to the Foundation that bears her name.

More than that, reporting published prior to the book’s publication shows that enormous speaking fees were paid to both Hillary and Bill Clinton by entities closely tied to these same foreign interests.

As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was supposed to have filed full disclosure reports, and the Clinton Foundation was supposed to have forsworn donations from foreign governments during Mrs. Clinton’s tenure. The latter did not happen,

An even clearer case of crony capitalism, Clinton-style, is the story of how General Electric, a key political player on the US scene, obtained business from the Algerian government after the US State Department lobbied hard on the company’s behalf. Of course, it’s just a coincidence that GE made a $1 million contribution to a “health initiative” associated with the Clinton Foundation in the same timeframe. The sale of power plants to the Algerians was worth nearly $2 billion: that’s a nice little profit margin there. And then there’s the political connection: GE, at the time, had a majority stake in MSNBC, which is for all intents and purposes the media megaphone of the Democratic party.

With our diplomats acting as the agents of the banking/commercial sector, and the US military as their “privatized” police force, America set out on the course of Empire – and we see the apotheosis of this horrific mutation in the dual personae of the Clintons, whose life story is one long sleazy shameless scandal of self-aggrandizing vainglory.

Word is out that the Clinton Foundation is revising its 990s – the forms nonprofits must submit that show their sources of income. This is a tacit admission that everything that’s about to come out in the Schweizer book is largely true, not to mention the investigative reporting that’s been done by Reuters and others.

So the question now is: will they [The Clintons] get away with it?

Hillary is history.

The origins of the Bush family wealth, from Grandpa Prescott and his father Samuel are older and so more opaque as they have had time to become more adept at hiding their crookery - but consider...

''If a Clinton Were to Marry a Bush, the US Could Cancel Elections'' by Bryan MacDonald http://rt.com/op-edge/251985-clinton-bush-us-presidential-election/ - from which I excerpt:

''All that the USA needs now is for a young Clinton to pair up with a junior Bush. Should the union produce an heir, a single line of monarchy would be established. This is the reality of the USA’s broken politics in 2015. A country pretty much established in opposition to hereditary elites now has the most closed political system in the Western world.

''In the past, America's strange obsession with the British Royal Family was usually explained by fact that the US has no monarchy of its own. The bad news for Queen Elizabeth's bunch is that this is increasingly the case in name only.

''In Clinton’s launch video, she laments the fact that “the deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top” of the economy. These statements come from a woman who has a personal fortune of up to $25 million, according to her 2013 final disclosure report. This figure doesn’t even include the proceeds of her memoirs.

''Chelsea is also far removed from the reality of contemporary American life. Again in 2013, the former First Daughter purchased a $10 million apartment near Manhattan’s Madison Avenue. Chelsea and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, were upgrading from a $4 million pad nearby. The Daily Mail indicates that if the Mezvinsky-Clintons have a mortgage on the property, it would cost $60,000 per month to service. According to the United Nations, the average US monthly wage is $4,695.

''Upon leaving office as Florida governor in 2007, the Texas-born banker (Jeb) felt poor as he was barely a millionaire. What ensued was an attempt to make a lot of money, quickly. Hillary has also considered herself impoverished after Bill exited the White House. Both Jeb and Clinton mastered the same route of rapid enrichment.

''Bush sat on six company boards at once as he tried to reel in cash. He also acted as an advisor to Lehman Brothers. You will remember them as the financial firm whose collapse helped trigger the Great Financial Crash of 2008. Additionally, Jeb made numerous paid-speeches, following the Clinton’s path.

''Assuming the 2016 election will be Hillary vs. Jeb, expect not only a clash of America’s two great modern political dynasties. The other contest will see corporations like Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Barclay’s going toe to toe. These companies gave the Clintons and Bushes their fortunes. Remember, who pays the piper calls the tune.''

Also, "Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal"

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/24/us/cash-flowed-to-clinton-foundation-as-russians-pressed-for-control-of-uranium-company.html?_r=0

Anything for money! Seems the Clinton Foundation wasn't forthcoming about accepting a donation of $2.35 million and soon after, the Russians were in control of a large stake of the uranium industry of Wisconsin.

These people will never change. Politics as it is, is a failure. Obama's blatant support of the TPP just goes to show you, they're in it for their own self-aggrandizement and enrichment, not to protect the general welfare of the people, not by any means. We need to work from the outside of this sick, evil system that is rigged for the wealthy and corporations. Please free the people soon! We can't take this much longer!

"The rich white family has an unrivaled aptitude for crime. Members of rich white families run corporations into the ground (think Lehman Brothers), defraud stockholders and investors, sell toxic mortgages as gold-plated investments to pension funds, communities and schools, and then loot the U.S. Treasury when the whole thing implodes. They steal hundreds of millions of dollars on Wall Street through fraud and theft, pay little or no taxes, almost never go to jail, write laws and regulations that legalize their crimes and then are asked to become trustees at elite universities and sit on corporate boards. They set up foundations and are admired as philanthropists. And if they get into legal trouble, they have high-priced lawyers and connections among the political elites to get them out." From your ICH link.

Play that against:

"It is estimated that in 2015 alone, police are killing black people at the rate of one every 27 hours" from: http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jun/12/black-people-killed-by-police-larger-structural-problem

Sad sigh. Bankers and white collar criminals walk free while children playing with toy guns and eating candy are shot dead.

"Greece's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has urged thousands of supporters to "turn their backs on their oppressors" and vote "No" in Sunday's bailout referendum."

Solidarity with Greece!

[-] 2 points by beautifulworld (23767) 8 years ago

May the Greeks find their Independence on Sunday, July 5th!

I'm taking this Independence day rather personally this year, lol. Thanks for the kind words and you, too, have been a force here.

It is beyond sad what has happened to this place. I finally took the link to this forum off my twitter bio because it's just too goddamn embarrassing to send people here. I used to feel so proud of this place. Anyway, we forge on. No one ever said the revolution was going to be easy.

Ohhhmmmmmmm For Greece and the Global 99%!

[-] 2 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

Sigh. So true that it actually hurts. Have good ''Day'' - and

We wish ''Independence'' from Bankers for all, by the way!

[-] 3 points by beautifulworld (23767) 8 years ago

We wish it, but it's not likely anytime soon. If even a gov't as left wing as Syriza votes yes to a program of debilitating austerity and gives away sovereignty, what can this mean for the rest of us?

We are all Greek in the sense that we all have debt, as nations, and as individuals. If you owe, you are owned, is pretty much what it's coming down to. Banks matter, people don't. Not sure how we got to such a point. Humanity is lost. Occupy Wall Street!

''We are all Greek in the sense that we all have debt, as nations, and as individuals. If you owe, you are owned, is pretty much what it's coming down to." - True that and for you and anyone who truly wants to understand what happened to Greece and why and how Bankers are like drug dealers - please do try to watch.. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article42394.htm (Video) - You won't regret watching it.

"Without any public accountability, the troika is forcing the crisis states to implement policies that are tearing the social fabric of their countries apart." From ICH.

And, from the Guardian, 7/24/15: "Greek debt crisis talks stall over choice of hotel. Talks on third bailout deal get off to a poor start as troika mission chiefs and Athens fail to agree on where visitors will stay over security concerns."

Couldn't help but giggle over that one. The idiots just can't keep their hands off of Greece. And, now they're worried about their safety! Good grief. What about the safety of the people who are suffering? What about the safety of the Greek people who don't have enough to eat and who can't get healthcare?

[-] 3 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

Greece is suddenly going through what the US has been going through for over 40 years & it's brutal, unforgiving & psychopathic in its treatment of The Greek 99% - who did NOT incur the fraudulent and odious debt, that they are now faced with paying to Bankers who wish to make an abject example of them, so as to scare any other country thinking of resisting Austerity,Privatization & Neoliberalunacy.

Re. Greece & YanisV, see: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/08/03/the-greek-warrior & then see: http://occupywallst.org/forum/why-liberals-have-to-be-radicals/#comment-1064464 & ask yourself just what kind of 'faux liberal' dick we might have on this forum who'd stinkle that but as Greece shows: Resistance Is Fertile! Solidarity to you and yours bw. Keep Up The Fight and Never Duck The Struggle.

[-] 2 points by beautifulworld (23767) 8 years ago

A Grexit is still on the table. Tsipras has resigned and called an election. The left is pretty angry with his capitulation and they're holding on to the fact that 62% of Greeks voted against austerity. Time will tell.

"A future Greek Government may think twice whether it is a good idea to adhere to a failing and faltering currency, thereby remaining hostage to the predatory EU, led by Germany – instead of reclaiming her political sovereignty and economic autonomy."

The euro has been undermined by the European Central Bank's own version of quantitative easing after the U.S. and Japan had embarked on their quantitative easings (God save our gracious Queen, long live our Q.E. II, III, IV, V, etc. Sorry, Charles, chill out! We still believe that absolute zero is reachable in a finite number of steps). However, the euro is still far more credible than bringing back the drachma and the Greeks know it. Greece is between a rock and a hard place. Let us all import more products of Greece, olive oil, yogurt, anchovies, etc. and vacation in Greece. It will help prop Greece up but it will still be up to Greece to reform its ways with the finances.

Due to Greece not having hordes of thrifty savers like Japan's (which has even higher level of debts), the owners of Greece's IOUs should write off half of their illusory value as recommended by the IMF. Get real!

The Wacked Witch versus the Jaded Jackass. Geez! Good thing we have a Mayweather versus Pacquiao fight to look forward to.

[-] 2 points by lugano (1221) 8 years ago

Good analogy and sadly we now have our own Smoke and Mirrors issues on the forum. Pacquiao fought with an injury btw but Mayweather couldn't quite put him away. Ho hum + fyi: http://www.leftforum.org/ :)

[-] 1 points by Shule (2638) 8 years ago

I wonder how much money was involved in deciding the fight?

Seems like politics is not the only thing in our world that is corrupted.

Further to http://www.leftforum.org/ - please consider... http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/30936-the-left-matters-now-more-than-ever Good question re the PacMay rumble and these days money and greed seem to trumps everything as Wall Street's culture of venality infects society but it need not be like this.
