Two prong approach.
One user posts divisive material assuming they are sticking up for capitalism in the face of OWS and one will respond to give it a jump start.
This tactic is to get your mindset into a one or the other scenario, making you feel obligated to defend capitalism, or socialism.
this is the new tactic because doing this with party lines was getting stamped out by the mods. They simply switched to a new topic with the same intentions.
The purpose is to keep you divided.
Troll Tactic for the Day:
Change your name from Richard Gates (widely known and despised troll) to fredastaire.
If we maintain an open mind, an open heart, and the goal of creative approaches to the problems at hand, it is easy to ignore those who wish to be divisive. They can spend their time expletiving at each other.
Thank you, division is what they are all about. That is why they love to hear us smash the Democrats. In their mind that just means a Republican victory, and they might very well be right. The obvious thing to infer from their glee in spreading division is to do the opposite - form coalitions with anyone and everyone who will support our goals, to end corruption, reform the financial system, put those responsible on trial, and sentance them to maximum security prisions, not country clubs; and finally to see to it that procedures are put in place to NEVER let it happen again! I think the vast majority are with us here!

By pulling in party lines to the forum again, how is that not the divisiveness mentioned in the OP. you must be one of the second prongs.

Thanks for the info. The more they change tactics, the more practice we have in recognizing their changes. They are fighting a losing battle, and they lose simply by playing.

hah. No, actually that symbol originated in the 1970s from a ground of radicals that espoused moving their agenda forward through any means, up to and including violence. The dumbed down generation that thinks history is boring is repeating it.

Mostly the younger. Look to them and you'll find an entitled generation that never had to work for anything in a day in their life and are now finding they have to. They are lashing out anywhere they can.
For all the talk of corporate greed, etc, the younger generation has enjoyed the bounty of corporations their entire life. In fact, the use of Internet is one perfect example of an entitlement to them.
Don't misunderstand me, there is blame to go around. This debt was not created in one generation.
I'd like to take a poll on the age of the OWS protestors. I bet we will find the majority are below 30 years of age.
The participants don't even know what the raised first above originally came from.

Also, be aware of the "third prong" approach, where people respond to real forum ideas, and in the middle of a normal healthy discussion, will type "eat and shit and die". Meanwhile you just realized you wasted another 10 seconds of your already worthless lives getting pimped...again. Fucking loosers
