OK. The Tea Party has a strategy to pick-off lame duck Republicans in the primaries that might win seats in Congress. Then what? The same thing as when the Republican was in the same seat, but with the Tea Party having less seniority, less clout, and weaker party affiliation. On the other hand, the people obviously want Congress to get something done instead wasting time and money in a bipartisan stalemate. So the Democrats have a lot more to offer than the Tea Party or Republicans.
Is a nostalgic return to 18th century view of liberty and government really a good idea or even possible? There is a huge gap between the original 13 colonies sticking it to Old King George in the 1700s and the militaristic monstrosity they became that dominates the planet today.

The Tea Party wants to cut government spending, austerity, deregulation, lower taxes and smaller government. This is the same drivel that comes from Republicans. These policies don’t work. Sixteen million people unemployed. Unemployment insurance is on 6-month automatic emergency extensions. Why haven’t the Banks, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and friends in their tax bracket dipped into their deep pockets pulled out $5 - $10 billion and created work for Americans out of conscience? Franklin Roosevelt’s social programs are the only reasons America hasn’t collapsed after 30 years of plundering by the 1%.

The Tea Party is a bunch of doo doo. They aren't bright enough to do enough research and it shows.
Like them or not, the TEA Party has gotten results. OWS has accomplished little and grows smaller every day.
The militarization of the police and public policy to arrest first or shoot and ask questions later keeps OWS from moving forward. Wall St pays a lot of taxes. The government has been "captured" and doesn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth.
They did raise my taxes, which makes them liars, much worse than the rest.
They did promote pseudo science in the schools too.
