Forum Post: The Love Affair of Money and Politics

needs to end. i think that is probably one platform that unifies the occupy movement. but how does one truly separate the two in a way that brings about a lasting change? how do you stop the lobbying and pay off's in a permanent way, while remaining within the context of american democracy? how is the average american to run for political office without the funding of corporate lobbyists, or without himself being rich? its a poisoned appendage in the body of our law, that has spread its infection hastily, it runs deep. i would like to ask the ows community, if we actually managed to enact change in our government how would you seperate these entities?
