States should not be able to usurp rights guaranteed by the constitution. Here is another example of rights we have that have been ignored. Constitution Article 4 Sections 1 and 2

Section. 1. Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.

Section. 2.The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.

All states are required to respect the laws of other states and the people are to be governed by the least restrictive law available in any state. So if I cannot be arrested for it in one state I cannot be arrested for it in any state. Have you or someone you know been put in jail or paid a fine for something that is legal in another state? If so, your rights have been violated. The people who started this nation wanted us to be as free as possible. They fought for it. Will you at least vote for it?

Read the Rules

Think of it as a rule of 1 state being able to make something legal, but ALL states have to agree to make something illegal. Everyone agrees that theft rape and murder are crimes, but many other things are open to debate. The founders wanted maximum freedom. Imagine 200 years ago traveling from Vermont to Georgia. As an individual how could you know the snow shoes (example only) you used in Vermont were contraband in Georgia? What about the laws of the states in between? This was rectified by allowing anything legal in one state to be legal in all states. So if even one state says you do not need a drivers license you can drive in all 50 states without one. If one state allows medical marijuana they all have to respect the prescription. One state allows gay marriage all states have to respect the union of the two people.

First I've heard of it, but I like it.

Been in there since the beginning but we are not taught about it in school. All of us must read the constitution. They tell us about the Bill of Rights in school but those rights were afterthoughts, most of the corp rights were written before the amendments were made.

No one should be able to usurp rights stated in the Constitution.
