Those curmudgeonly, libe(R)tarian, Kochs seem to show up everywhere there's trouble these days.

Unfortunately they are perpetrators and not the cavalry.

"U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson, who signed an order requiring Verizon to give the National Security Agency telephone records for tens of millions of American customers, attended an expense-paid judicial seminar sponsored by a libertarian think tank that featured lectures from a vocal proponent of executive branch powers.

Vinson, whose term on the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court began in 2006 and expired last month, was the only member of the special court to attend the August 2008 conference sponsored by the Foundation for Research on Economics & the Environment, according to disclosure records filed by the federal judge."

wait - wait - I'm confused. the Executive Branch of government resides in the oval office with the President. The Judicial Branch of government is our federal court system, including the Supreme Court and presumably it includes the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

Why a member of the Judicial branch would attend a series of lectures by some Executive Branch proponent[s] is a mystery.

In any case, we should be able to establish that Vinson has violated the law and the U.S. Constitution, and this must merit incarceration for a significant and meaningful length of time.

Be confused, be very confused.

Hasn't that been the end result, if not the aim of all of the Koch's endeavors?

With these guys, it approaches the surreal.

There's so much they are into, people just blink disbelievingly when you try and tell them.

It is impossible to comprehend exactly how, given the immensity of wealth, how such a passion for the utter destruction of all that makes civilization civil can be maintained - let alone promoted with such vigor . . .

It really is no wonder people stare in disbelief.
