Forum Post: The down vote collapse tactic has been ended. It was not about politics but about uniting in common cause.

Posted 11 years ago on May 24, 2012, 11:22 a.m. EST by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Politics has nothing to do with the attackers agenda. It is an excuse a story. No one is happy with government right now.

OH - OOps

The greedy corrupt white collar criminals are.

Aside from them and their blind marching supporters.

No one is happy with government.

The attackers on this site are trying to stop unity in common cause.

Common Cause? Some might ask?

OSTA

End Corporate personhood.

Money out of politics.

Vote out anti Constitution/anti people politicians.

End subsidies for fossil fuel.

Regulate WallStreet.

Regulate fossil fuel speculation.

Ban fracking.

Prosecute the white collar economic criminals.

Make Health care universal and not for profit.

Invest in and implement green energy.

etc.

etc.

etc.

The discredit attacks are about issues like these that we support and push forward.

Period.

Read the Rules

I would offer one correction. Most of the complaints are more accurately about "governance" not "government."

What is the definition of "good comments" again?

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

I thought the whole point was that the people would decide that for themselves, each one at a time, but I may be wrong about that. What are the rules again? Are people allowed to think for themselves?

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

That depends. What is the last four digits of your SS number? What is the maiden name of a person whose mother hyphenated her's with her husband's?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 11 years ago

Is there some way I could just pay the fine and bypass the redtape?

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

Well, oK.

[-] 0 points by CarlosFenito (36) 11 years ago

Good comments are ones that defend Democrats!

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

He said, tongue in cheek.

[-] 0 points by CarlosFenito (36) 11 years ago

Okay, correction!

Comments that attack Republicans are also good!

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

Can I attack interdependents, then? How about the Terror Party?

[-] 1 points by CarlosFenito (36) 11 years ago

Oh goodness yes!

Just don't attack Democrats! Then you're REALLY getting partisan!

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

Well we certainly wouldn't want to be partisan, would we?

What I really don't get is seeing poll after poll on both economic issues and social seeing a high number for Dems, a slightly lower number for Indes and a lower number, but still a majority, for Repelicans and then the Repelicans in Congress vote unanimously the opposite way. So all of the Repleicans in Congress thumb their noses at their own constituents. And then those same people go vote for the idiots who demonstrated that they aren't going to represent them. I suppose they think they are heroes, being loyal and all. But they are really self destructive idiots.

[-] 0 points by CarlosFenito (36) 11 years ago

Republican sheppery is stupid. People vote for the same candidates based on the letter after their name. It's equally stupid when Democraps do it.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

It is equally stupid but not equally prevalent. I wouldn't want a false equivalency to be established here, Clearly some Dems are representing special interests instead of their constituents. But it is easily and consistently documented, and the Repubs do it in a block in which they do it unanimously. That is unique, as far as I can tell. On some issues with 2/3's or more GOP voter support they are still voting the opposite way and clearly in the interest of the special interests that contribute to them. Voting for them under those circumstances is patently insane.

[-] -1 points by CarlosFenito (36) 11 years ago

Yeah, like when all the "liberals" on the supreme court decided to throw the 99% under the bus in the Kelo decision. Both parties are the same, but to allow left-leaning candidates more chances to win, we need to outlaw party designation on ballots. Like you said, Republicans vote party line far more often than Democrats, so this will help combat the damage done by voter ID laws.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

So many things to fix and we own so few shares in the politicians. Frustrating.

[-] -1 points by CarlosFenito (36) 11 years ago

The Indies REALLY get on my nerves! You know, they're all like, "Hey, we're running for election... we stand with you on the issues....be amazing if you voted for us..." And I'm like, GET THE HECK OUT OF HERE!!! I'M GOING TO VOTE FOR SOMEONE I DISAGREE WITH, AND THEN COMPLAIN ON THE INTERNET WHEN THEY DO A BUNCH OF STUPID STUFF!! BUT I WON'T EVER VOTE INDEPENDENT, FOR TWO REASONS:

  1. I will be able to sleep at night, and maybe even kick the uppers, knowing I voted for someone who I agree with, and

  2. I like voting for the 1%.

I believe that you and others can be the judge on whether a comment is good/valid or not. At least the comments will not be hidden and buried.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 11 years ago

Ahhh, so the bad one's won't go away so that we all have the opportunity to judge them? Were the bad one's going away? Can they come back?

I never voted because I didn't see a purpose.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

All collapsed comments to my understanding will now be un-collapsed, should already be.

I do not know what the site has planned for the comments it deems to be wrong. I suggested that they leave the collapse comment power in the hands of their moderators.

Some saw/see the value of voting a comment that they like so others might take notice and a look. Personal scores? I could care less as that only seemed to promote leaders and I don't think this movement should be about leaders - but about issues.

[-] 1 points by nobnot (529) from Kapaa, HI 11 years ago

Best thread of the week.Thank you.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Thank you.

I believe in attacking or supporting issues. That is where we find common ground.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 11 years ago

I'm tired of the news telling me what my issues are

and the DR rivalry does just that

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Party politics are a distraction for the population. Notice how no one ever runs on issues?

No they bring up an issue and then throw mud at mishandling of others - generally their opponents.

Then they will go on to say something like - but if I were in office I could fix this in an instant - but they never say how or are so vague as to mean nothing anyway.

Political speak is a lot of words that amount to nothing.

We need to deal in real issues with real plans for resolving them.

This is what most of the population needs to come to understand.

[-] 0 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

With all the whining by DKA over the collapse issue it's no wonder they caved on it. DKA can't take it cause it's just not fair, everything has to be fair for DKA so he can be happy. What a whining little spoiled brat, how childish.

But that's how Progtards are. They want everything fair and equal, cause you know that's how life is right?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Who did you used to be before you got booted the last time?

How long do you figure you will be around before you get booted this time?

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

I guess that depends on how fair and equal you Progtards want to be.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Well I guess for one I will be nice and give you a tip - read the forum rule on your insult. As I believe your use of it should see you sailing out the door again unless someone cuts you some slack.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

Since when do you follow the forum rules?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Show me where I have not, and then copy it off to the forum abuse e-mail address.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

What a useless waste of time that would be. You and the forum crew are in cahoots. Just look at what happens when DKA is unhappy and has a tantrum, the forum crew jumps and you tell them how high. Talk about corruption and collusion.

You tell them how to run and configure the forum and they kiss your ass, that's what you mean by fair and equal isn't it?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

That's why they swatted down all of my attackers at 1st note - Hey?

I mean that's why you are not here right now - Right?

I mean you can't be because you are attacking me! Right?

Hhmmmmm - there seems to be a slight flaw in your argument.

But then I have never noted the attackers of the movements against greed corruption and crime as being to bright to begin with.

Thank you for playing.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

That reply was not very coherent, would you mind rewording it so as to be clear and concise? And please address your apparent collusion and control of the forum.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I think the comment is straight forward. I am sorry for your dimness and lack of reading comprehension - perhaps you can get a friend to help you towards understanding. Do you have any? Friends? No sock puppets do not count. Some one other than your self.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

That's the problem, what you think is just not what "IS". You serve up sarcasm instead of answering what must be a very problematic question for you. You are just as corrupt as the people you rail against. You will be found out,so enjoy for now.

Please address your apparent collusion and control of the forum?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

My control of the forum?

If the administrators were following my complaints on the forum this last week about the apparent disregard they had for this forum and the attackers having seemingly free reign.

I think you can safely say that I am not a favored person in their eyes right now.

You have a funny perception of who is favored and how they are favored.

Does that come from your inability to be successful in your mission?

Your mission to discredit this forum and the good people on it?

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

"Your mission to discredit this forum and the good people on it?"

No,I'm concerned as many others are of your excess influence and control of the forum, you get whatever you want changed by the forum admins. You are apparently not well favored on this forum because of many issues, many here are connecting the dots. You are subverting the admin of this forum to suite your personal whims and thus disenfranchising other members that do not fall in line with your ideology.

You can deny all you want but this is what many here are coming to grips with and are understanding that you preach one thing yet are as corrupt and dishonest as all you claim to hate.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

So sorry to disappoint you.

NOT.

I am not in a hospice.

I have a disease of the central nervous system. What the Dr.s or medical community call an autoimmune disease.

So while it can be wildly debilitating it is not likely at this point in time to be listed as a cause of death. It might however be listed as a contributing factor.

No I am afraid you are stuck with me for as long as the forum will put up with me.

Oh - Sorry - how insensitive of me. My condolences for the death of your hope that I would be dying soon.

Well as they say nothing is written in stone - there are no guarantees that the sun will rise for me tomorrow.

So don't die of dis-pare. You dream may still come true.

We're all pulling for ya.

Shit-Head.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

I was really kidding, but finding out you really are dealing with this, I have to say I'm sorry, seriously. I didn't know any particulars and I certainly wouldn't wish any further misfortune on you. I wish for you a long life and hopefully you are getting well taken care of.

The silver lining must be the painkillers right?

Anywho, you should really consider a more relaxing pastime,do you need this kind of aggravation in your life?

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Whatever - look I missed my nap earlier so I am gonna do that now.

See if you can successfully pester someone else now.

Practice practice practice.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

Sorry to hear you must be under some kind of medical care, hope your hospice nurse takes good care of you. Promise not to hang on too long will ya?. By the way since you are running this forum obviously, why don't you make sure your successor will not be a political shill please.

[-] -1 points by 8675309 (-5) 11 years ago

You are not an activist, DKAtoday. You are not even a slacktivist, DKAtoday. If your own postings to this forum are true, you are disabled, retired and "unable" to truly put your own ass at risk in actual protest. Yet once again - like clockwork - you attack the very ones that defended you.

Some of us pity you, DKAtoday, but those numbers are dwindling. Others of us think you are not so old and not so disabled, DKAtoday. Either way, the unanimous consensus is that you are an irritating asshole and a problem that must be dealt with.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yeah - luck with that view point. Throw all the mud you want. See if any of it sticks.

In the meantime my protectors must be letting me down as they have yet to put a stop to your slander.

Huh. Some friends.

Huh. some ultimate control of the forum.

Huh. some lame attacks by blind marchers.

Huh.

[-] -1 points by tupacsugar (-136) 11 years ago

More sarcasm to cover and obfuscate your corruption.

Testing

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

For a Down vote?

Oh I am sure there will be those.

But at least they wont collapse good comments anymore.

[-] 2 points by VQkag (930) 11 years ago

I have seen the uncollapse occur. One less weapon for those who would silence dissent and opinions they disagree with. well done, and thanx to those who requested the fix, those who implemented the fix and to those put up with the childishness of having your comments hidden.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

It is a step in the proper direction - but I think we need to start a campaign to end the nonchalance of the site administration to these bot attacks and their users.

We do not have to contend with collapsed threads any longer - but we still have the discrediting attacks.

We need to find a way to make the site more supporter/contributor friendly.

We need to petition for better site security.

Or this site will be ruined as a useful communications hub and movement support site.

I will copy off this comment and send it off to the report abuse e-mail and see what response I might receive.

I urge all others who love this forum and are in the fight against corruption greed and crime to do the same.

[-] 1 points by VQkag (930) 11 years ago

will do.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Thanks - I believe that we can save this forum and make of it a really good asset for the fight we have undertaken.

Unite in common cause.

[-] 0 points by XenuLives (1645) from Charlotte, NC 11 years ago

I didn't know if collapsing was removed or not, since I installed that GreaseMonkey script yesterday. Color me ignorant!

I'm glad that the collapse issue is fixed. That's a step in the right direction.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I checked on my unite in common cause post and all of it was open again. The down votes are still there but the comments are open. It is a start.

Very Political! Wake up!

[-] -1 points by JIFFYSQUID92 (-994) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Politics MOST CERTAINLY has EVERYTHING to do with "it" ~ the censorship of Free Speech especially that which conflicts with the dictatorial propaganda that comes from the 1%-owned, RepuliCon, RW, MSM, Fox (RepubliCon-TV) Lies, and Hate-Lie Talk Radio ~ UNDENIABLY and IRREFUTABLY!

Specifically, "conflicting Free Speech" that advocates a solution to the 1% tyranny of our Government, Media, Country and the 99% People: UNITY and VOTING!!!!

Sorry to spoil the party, but we are in a Class War! We, The People, are suffering the casualties, are losing the war, and fight each other instead of who our real enemy is. The real enemy is a group of would-be Kings (the "descendants" from the King of England's Loyalists and Royalists who hate democracy) in the 1%. We abandoned our democracy so they stole it and use it against us to hoard unimaginable wealth and power. That we might get smart and Unite against them, makes us mortal enemies. That's why we are the most ignorant, divided, non-voting, slave-waged, uninsured, population among modern democracies. All of which makes the "Kings" very happy and rich!!! And they will do whatever it takes to keep it that way!!!

That's the RW, RepubliCon, 1%, POLITICAL reason they sent out their cretinous Zombie Trolls to Censor posts on this Forum ~ and why we have to VOTE to kick and keep them out of our Government, local to DC!!

UNITE AND WIN!

Unite and Win! Unite and Win! 2010 Never EVER Again!!!

Register and Vote! Register and Vote! "We the 1%" NOT What They WROTE!!!!

Occupy America's Wake Up, then Occupy the ELECTION!!!

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

OK.

For you it is a different thing.

I have no problem with why you are here fighting greed corruption and crime.

We can get along. Right?

I myself am not tied to party politics.

I am tied to issues and supporting the people in that way.

You don't have a problem with me. Right?

So we can operate alongside each other in common cause.

Health and prosperity for All.

Yes?

[-] -1 points by JIFFYSQUID92 (-994) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

I'm all for The People, all the time.

"SQUANDERING!"

That is what I have a problem with.

I've been doing this a long time, I've seen people with good intentions squander their efforts and concerns, lose in utter defeat, and end up giving up. We succeed only with UNITY! I want success, don't you?

Didn't last night teach you anything??? Those were political agents ~ zombies but agents of the Right, the RepubliCons, the 1%. Dems, Libs, Progs don't do that. I've been dealing with this form of censorship for YEARS at other boards and forums.

If you advocate the denial ~ THE FORFEITING ~ the squandering of the system/weapons of defense our forefather left for us to ward off this tyranny ~ American democracy ~ you are asking for complete surrender. And I am Totally Against Surrender of any kind to tyranny!

There is LESS perfection, less moral goodness in surrender than participating in or UNITING with our political system to defeat the tyrannical right that has enslaved us!!

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You don't like how I advocate for the people?

I am pushing issues.

Is that not ok?

[-] -1 points by JIFFYSQUID92 (-994) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

OK, and then what? What do we do about "it?"

Pray? Sing? March? Dance?

WE VOTE!!!

(Quit fishing for approval or disapproval. This is WAR.)

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

No shit.

Quit trying to alienate asshole.

[-] -1 points by JIFFYSQUID92 (-994) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

"No Shit" what?

OK, and then what? What do we do about "it?"

Pray? Sing? March? Dance?

Advocating the surrender of the only weapon we have ~ the Vote ~ is far worse than being Un-Friended! I'm trying to get you witless rebels without a fucking clue to help WIN! Instead of the 2010 PETULANT, IDIOTIC, POUTING, SQUANDER!!!!

Learn!!! Will Ya!!!

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

No shit Sherlock?

I am totally non-partisan.

You are not.

I am for the health and prosperity of all mankind.

I take it you are too.

So what is your problem?

[-] -1 points by JIFFYSQUID92 (-994) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

The Solution!

Why can't you see this? Want is blocking your perception? Tell me what you see, especially after the "Partisan" attack just last night???

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Was the attack partisan?

I saw a bunch of blind marchers and their sock puppets attacking the forum.

Didn't see any party buttons.

Sure did see them supporting the corrupt greedy criminal status-quo.

[-] -1 points by JIFFYSQUID92 (-994) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

And who did they attack? Posters who want to hold candlelight vigils, or posters who bust 1%-Con tyranny and offer REAL means to do something about it? You may not recognize this, but I do.

OK, I writing a new post about this problem, you have a chance to make your case. What is your reply/response to my "Politics MOST CERTAINLY has EVERYTHING to do with "it"" post?? It can't just be "nonpartisan."

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Politics should be approached in a nonpartisan manner. What is good and healthy for all is the key.

Private gain and profit at the expense of the community and environment is to be opposed.

Look to support progress that is healthy not destructive.

That in short is my view on politics and business.

[-] -1 points by JIFFYSQUID92 (-994) from Portland, OR 11 years ago

Really, are you sure you want me to use that?

To me, that is astoundingly naive, the political equivalent to, "I like clouds."

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yes we have the vote.

I propose we use it in all possible forms.

Kick corrupt politicians out of office there are plenty to choose from some more obvious than their fellows at the moment.

But then we need to continue in ownership of the democratic process by telling our government what we approve of and what we do not.

Continuous Process Improvement through continuous involvement by the people.
