More economic downers for the economy include the closing of three Atlantic City casinos (Revel, Showboat, and the Atlantic Club) and the 50,000 worker loss at Hewlett-Packard (HP).
The US economy was contracting rapidly. It is now contracting even more than that, since extended unemployment and food aid have been terminated and reduced.
New Jersey has been in bad shape for years. I don't understand how the hideously high unemployment rate for several years after the Global Financial Crisis wasn't enough to run Chris Christie out of there.
Go by some rims and Js, that outta cheer ya up!
