The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Americans are officially numb to the idea of killing for resources.

When empires move to this to maintain control, that endless war always comes home to roost. This time will be no different.

''Jeremy Scahill & Noam Chomsky on Secret U.S. Dirty Wars'' (Video) :

Investigative journalist Jeremy Scahill and author Noam Chomsky recently sat down together at Harvard University to discuss Scahill's groundbreaking new book, "Dirty Wars: The World is a Battlefield." Amy Goodman hosted the discussion, which was sponsored by the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Harvard Kennedy School and the ACLU of Massachusetts. It is a very powerful video.

''The United States uses Predator and Reaper drones to kill people at a distance, sometimes at random, sometimes Americans or children, and after a decade of this practice, in the face of scattered popular protest, President Obama gave a speech about it on May 23 that was preceded by waves of advance media buzz that the President was going to change some of the policy in the global war on terrorism.

''Who, in a sane state of mind, would expect any change of policy when the president gives a speech about counter-terrorism at the National Defense University?

''In effect, two American administrations have followed the same pre-emptive killing policy that can be summed up simply: “Assassinating people prevents them from attacking us, whether they want to or not, and it’s not up to us to figure out what they want.”

Abby Martin on Susan Rice on RT's "Breaking the Set." A must watch for every American. The wars will never end with these people in charge.

Bullshit. They aren't numb. This is the same repetitive line of shit that you give every time. You can come up with something new.

They are pretty numb considering they are OK with paying taxes to fund the US war machine. Americans love guns and wars. It's a fact. Well, perhaps they are not numb, but instead find pleasure in being at war?

Wrong. Take an inventory of those activists that have been against war. Take an inventory of those people that have been against American interests and then get back to me. Otherwise, you are doing nothing more than preaching to the choir. Try again.

Obviously the people who are protesting and involved in groups arent numb.

But they make up about 1% of the population. Go out and do some outreach on it, the responses you will get from people are not good.

Nothing beats getting out and knocking on doors and distributing literature GF. Check out the numbers you will see for Bradley Manning actions this upcoming weekend...most dont know who he is.

Which is more of a state of the poor media in this country. But when you try to explain the situation to people, you get the real experience then.

What do you think, Im making this stuff up? I can list about 10 different antiwar groups right here in Tampa, doesnt mean the overall population is active.

Whats your take on Code Pink and Madea's latest rant?

But I will say that people were very interested in the Monsanto action when I attempted to explain it to them, even the ones who were making fun of us gave me at least a few minutes to explain some stuff to them.

The wars are far aff, and theres no cameras, and people dont realize that thing will come home someday.

agreed 100%. Anyone who pays any kind of federal tax is compliant in the actions of the US military.

Sometimes what the choir needs is a good preaching to.
