The Crown and Blindfold
Unions of all kinds are weak but the weakest one is “ the more perfect union” we fought and died to fashion. God Bless America” says “crown her good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea”. The Crown of Brotherhood is now on the ground being trampled on the trading floor of Wall Street.
The results are a divided Congress, a divided Supreme Court and a divided nation. We now live in an “Economic Democracy” with each isolated consumer voting at the cash register and on Wall Street.
A Blindfolded-Goddess of Justice stands in the court holding balanced scales. Now Blindfold removed injustice results and cries for justice soon violence occupy the streets.
Most American soldiers dying for this nation were not rich. Most had many, or at least some, poor relatives in their family at home. Their blood cries out for the Crown and Blindfold to be restored.
