Thank you, OWS, for what you are doing for the 99%! I am a teacher, my husband was an executive at John Deer. We thought we were wealthy. Then he got cancer. We lost nearly everything, currently have no health insurance, and are fighting CitiMortgage to keep our house NOT because we stopped paying our mortgage (I kept paying the mortgage), but because Citi said we no longer qualified for a mortgage loan because our income dropped 70% when my husband died. My kids lost their dad, and then the bank tried to make grieving children homeless. No Shame, Only Greed! I cashed in our retirement accounts, savings, everything, to fight CitiGroup, and as long as our state's AG doesn't allow the banks immunity, we will win the law suit, keep our house and be reimbursed for legal fees. But that all depends on the voice of the people coming across to the states' AGs (because the Fed Govt doesn't care about people), that WE WANT THE 1% to PAY BACK WHAT THEY STOLE!!! Thank you OWC!!!

The best thing you can do is, support this movement.

I couldn't understand your pain and wish all the best for you. I think what we have here is a bad roll of the dice, not actually any illegal or unethical activity by citigroup. I hope you get to keep your house, but you should still uphold your contract that you made with someone else

Well said, thank you so much for posting. May the revolution see you and yours safely through.

Your story saddens me in multiple different ways, number one because of your loss. My family loses just about everyone to cancer and I have known for years that most Americans have no idea that they are just one bad physician's visit away from total economic disaster. You will find a way to see through this all, and America is waking up slowly, but surely!

Your wrong many of us who are older know all to well were only a bad visit from the Dr. from poverty. We also know nobody cares on this rapidly sinking Nat'l ( Titanic) ship. Our so called leaders are shuffling around the deck chairs , but it now appears the passengers locked in steerage are trying to make a break for the lifeboats. Sorry to say even if they get to the deck they'll find that the elite have already rowed away. Its the devil or the deep blue sea now in this sad country for millions. #OWS could be just the start.

Their are laws to protect you. What is it you want for free you sorry assed bitch. They didn't steal anything, you lost it. How many tattoos do you have? Shave your hairy body and get a better job. Quit complaining. You selfish lying whore. You made up the story so the 50% who don't pay taxes would feel sorry for you.

The Tea Party, in a nutshell. The devolution of man, in a nutshell.

I agree....I guess I almost laugh except they took so much influence in the country. I wish they would go back to their militias and get out of the mainstream.

Honestly, I think the Tea Party is quite small. For the most part, it's comprised of Medicare-dependent senior citizens and hateful, xenophobic, mostly uneducated white males with a mean streak due to their own sorry lot in life.

Ever notice how the Tea Party folks prattle on, and on, and on about "personal responsibility" and then turn around and blame all our nation's woes on "evil liberals"? A bit ironic, no?

They're such devout believers in the importance of "personal responsibility" that they always want to shift the blame to another person! :-p

LOL.....the tide is turning with the medicare people though....maybe they see what people are trying to do now that they are in power.

I'm not so sure. Herman Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan would shift much of the tax burden from the wealthy to the poor, and it would also put an end to the Social Security payroll tax (which would ultimately kill Social Security).

Despite these facts, many conservatives (and not just Tea Partiers) have jumped on his bandwagon.

It's an odd phenomenon, but I think it simply comes down to ignorance. The Founding Fathers warned us against the perils of democracy, and I think we are now witnessing their fears come true.

Cain wont win and if he does the plan wont pass.

ignorance at its finest and surprises me not that the author chose the screen name TeaParty.
