This Is What America Looks Like

by: William Rivers Pitt

Let's get a few things straight right from the jump.

First of all, despite all the gleeful obituaries that have been appearing across the scabrous landscape of the "mainstream" news media, the Occupy movement is not, in fact, over. Mayor Michael Bloomberg may have sent in cops like thieves in the night to dispossess peaceful protesters and destroy books in New York City, but there are hundreds of Occupy camps still standing from one side of this nation to the other. As for the seedcorn New York protest, well...if you're one who opposes what they've been doing, you can cross your fingers and toes to your heart's delight in the hope that matters are settled in the Big Apple, but you best be prepared for disappointment, because those people have set their caps to accomplish what they endeavored to do back in September, and they are far, far more organized and determined than people like you seem capable of apprehending.

A setback like this only adds fuel to the fire. We're talking about people who are so committed to the ideals of the Occupy movement that they abandoned the soft conveniences of modern existence - walls, a roof, a bed, plumbing, locks on the doors and the soothing babble of cable TV - to sleep in a park surrounded by strangers for almost two months. Raise your hand if you've ever gone camping for two full months, anywhere. It has been hot, it has been cold, it has rained, it has snowed, and, oh yeah, there was the ever-present threat of catching a billy club over the head or a face full of NYPD mace for their trouble. You think they're going away after enduring all that?

Ha.

Second, I'm going to slap the next person who comes out with the pat line, "They don't have a message! They need a message! They're nothing without a message!" Um, cluebag, they are the message. The Occupy movement has created modern-day Hoovervilles from sea to shining sea to point out the simple fact that things have gone badly wrong in these United States, that the American Dream of even minimal upward mobility and the promise of a better future for our children were sold for pennies on the dollar to the bastards and whores who have perverted this democracy past the point of recognition. It's a fantastic bit of irony, a towering example of cognitive dissonance, that the same people who attack the Occupy movement are also the ones packing guns to Tea Party protests because they think the country is headed in the wrong direction. What in the name of Jesus H. Christ do they think the right direction is? 99% of us are getting screwed, and the Occupy movement has been the most eloquent firebreak against that heedless, moneygrubbing trend.

I'll make it simple: Wall Street has occupied American politics and stolen America's bright future in an orgy of graft and theft, so America has occupied Wall Street - along with every Main Street in every city and town you can think of - in order to try and set things right. Got it? It is pretty simple, folks. Two plus two does, in fact, equal four. The only reasons people refuse to see this thing, simply, for what it is come down to willful stupidity, stubborn partisanship, money, or a combination of the three.

Third, anyone who claims that the Occupy movement has not accomplished anything can kiss my whole entire ass. The upward mobility of our hard-earned money into the coffers of the rich and powerful has been going on since the disaster known as the "Reagan Revolution." The politicians bought by the cash-fat elite have appointed judges to every level of the state and federal judicial systems, and the serial corporate-favoring rulings handed down by these robed criminals have given this grand theft the imprimatur of legality, but it ain't legal, and it ain't right. One look at the Supreme Court's Citizen's United decision, and the after-affects of same, can tell you that. Hell, Mitt Romney actually got up with his bare face hanging out the other day to make the very modern American argument that corporations are, in fact, people...non-existent multi-billionaire people protected from even the most minimal legal oversight or scrutiny, to be sure, but people all the same.

Is that the country you want to live in? I don't, and neither do the Occupy protesters, and what they have accomplished over these last two months is to finally, finally, finally draw major national attention to the deranged way we go about things here in America. In the immortal words of a fantastic Occupy protest sign, "I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one." For the first time in modern memory, people in America, along with their elected representatives and the "mainstream" media that covers it all, have had their noses rubbed in the awful yawning gap between the Haves and the Have Nots, and the manner in which this doomed system of thievery-as-governance actually operates.

You know I share in your anger against the critics, trolls, and uninformed (or willfully ignorant) general public. I have found myself many times defending OWS online. The media and the "powers that be" are working overtime to end this movement.

All yesterday, I was hearing in the news how OWS is going to die out. Then you have dozens upon dozens of troll posts on this very forum either suggesting the same thing or thrashing this movement to no end.

Thank you for putting up this thread. I really appreciate it.

[-] 5 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

Agreed, and you're welcome. Did the media always display such a strong bias towards the status quo and establishment? I want to blame it on the consolidation of corporate media, but it's not like journalism for profit is a new thing. What's changed?

[-] 3 points by Windsofchange (1044) 12 years ago

I think in the beginning the Media was curious and mildly amused by this movement. Overall, wondering would it catch on? Then when it grew, that's when OWS started being a threat and I kept hearing over and over--what is OWS goals, what do they want??? They made it look like OWS was completely directionless and had no real purpose.

I listened to many news channels (including Fox news out of curiosity). As you know they don't have really anything to positive to say about the movement. I say in the last three weeks things got really, really negative. The NY post (owned by Rupert Murdoch's company-News Corp) has been downright vicious in the attacks against OWS. They constantly had protestors pics on the front cover in a negative fashion (trying to humiliate OWS supporters).

In the last month it seems that the media has been playing up the fact that the businesses and residents around Zucotti park were suffering on account of OWS occupiers. The residents and business owners would be in the news constantly stating that they can't sleep at night because of the drum noise, that the crowds of occupiers made the park unsanitary, and that businesses were negatively affected by OWS occupation. Also, the crimes around Zuccotti park and at other occupy camps nationwide was constantly in the news. There were some deaths in a few of the Occupy camps (drug abuse and suicide was speculated). Every time some one got arrested associated with OWS whether it was a protestor for civil disobedience or a bad apple who did something to provoke the police --it was in the news and played up to make the movement look like a bunch of anarchists or troublemaking jerks at the very least.

Honestly, if I was an outsider who didn't know what OWS was about and I did not make the effort to find out for myself, I would probably have fallen for all this negativity put out about OWS. However, I am online alot and constantly educating people about what this movement is about and still they can't get past the negative sterotypes thrown on the occupiers. This troubles me.

[-] 2 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 12 years ago

IMPORTANT NOTE TO THE TROLLS :

If you're a TROLL on this forum : the OWS Movement is about YOU too - and your friends and family and loved ones.

THINK about that : WHAT KIND OF AMERICA do you want to live in 5 years from now? 10 years from now? 20 years from now?

[-] 1 points by nucleus (3291) 12 years ago

The majority of those who supported bailouts now oppose them.

The majority of those who supported the Afghanistan War now oppose it.

The majority of those who supported the Iraq War now oppose it.

The majority of those who supported the Vietnam War now oppose it.

The majority of those who oppose OWS ...

[-] 0 points by justhefacts (1275) 12 years ago

So are you comparing OWS to bailouts, and three different wars, or saying that those who support OWS now will someday oppose it?

do you understand what our founding fathers wanted for our country? how can you be so trite? you should be ashamed of yourself! you have no understanding of the principles our country were founded on. you are unamerican and a puppet of the financial thieves oppressing our country!!!

[-] 2 points by tomcat68 (298) 12 years ago

wow, slow down grandma.

you don't even know me yet and already i feel reamed

[-] 3 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

hey dude wake the fuck up, this is grandma speaking!!! you're being reamed royally!! are you really interested in supporting the the people who are destroying our country?????

[-] 1 points by tomcat68 (298) 12 years ago

no, I have nor will I ever support Obama or any democrat. and THAT is what 43 years of Life experience has taught me. not a few books and lectures from a left wing closet socialist

[-] 1 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

what 43 yrs of life experience has failed to teach you is that both parties are as corrupt as can be and the left wing-right wing divide and conquer ploy suits them to a tee.

[-] 1 points by MercD (20) from Spanaway, WA 12 years ago

They wanted a government separate of the people so the people can make their own decisions in life, no government hand outs (to person OR corp), no laws that force individuals to purchase something (the healthcare law, or as many advocate, universal healthcare, definitely not in the constitution)

So what do you think the founding fathers want?

[-] 1 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

"They wanted a government separate of the people"

Lincoln really had no idea WTF the founders wanted, what with their participatory government and general welfare clauses, when he said "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

[-] 0 points by MercD (20) from Spanaway, WA 12 years ago

General welfare is in the preamble and not a clause in the powers granted by the constitution... please read the constitution before you write/speak about it...

[-] 1 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

Article I, Section 8, Clause I:

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

[-] 1 points by MercD (20) from Spanaway, WA 12 years ago

My mistake, I got it mixed up with a different section :P

[-] 1 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

No worries. :o)

Bump!!

[-] 1 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

'so what do think the founding fathers wanted?'

good question!

no handouts or then handouts for everyone. healthcare should not be a business, it should pay for itself but not be a profit oriented undertaking. it would be nice if everyone was covered from birth to death but that might be too much for many people in the us. many of the founding fathers warned about the problems banks and corporations could cause.

[-] 2 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

Granted, thou art now troll.

So what do you want to be shown?

Why do you disagree with OWS? Do you disagree with what they stand for or with the methods?

Come on pal. You called me out. What do you want to be shown? What are you trying to say with this post?

[-] 3 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

It just addresses most of you folks' talking points about the movement being baseless, message-free, ineffectual, over...

And, bump. :)

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

lulz Rex is actually trying to say that this post doesn't have a message.

LOL <3

[-] -1 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

Oh, I don't think you will give up anytime soon, if that is what you are saying. I am saying your public opposition will grow. What are you going to do when the American public comes out to fight you? Is that the chaos you want? What positive purpose will that serve?

[-] 4 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

Violence is your worldview, not ours. You see everything through the lens of Glenn Beck's fantasy about righteous patriots fighting commies in the streets. Guess what, we are the patriots, the 99% don't think that's how anything will be solved, and most of them are far more afraid of you dangerous armed Waco warmongers itching for a fight out in the sticks, than they are of us. Moving on.

Bump.

[-] -2 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

What are you talking about? I don't create violent situations in public. You do.

[-] 3 points by shadz66 (19985) 12 years ago

Rex you mendacious, disingenuous dissembler !

It is OWS which is on the side of hard working people who suffer austerity while Wall $t laughs at them, as it gets bailed out by The 99% ... and engineers negative (anti-saver) interest rates for itself ... whilst running off with their 401k's and making Debt-Slaves of The Next Generation - even before they can get to earn a salary !!

you have no understanding of what the original american revolution was about, do you? you believe what you are told by the media and think you're a good american. well listen up, you're being fed an extreme amount of disinformation. the media in america is totally and i mean totally controlled by extremely wealthy corporations that don't want you to know the truth. if you don't believe this you should check out the international media. but of course they're pesky foreigners and not to be believed.

[-] 0 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

I think the bigger issue is your lack of understanding of what you are standing behind.

[-] 2 points by rayl (1007) 12 years ago

no! you have no understanding about the original meaning of the constitution. your support for the organizations which are destroying our nation can only mean you're a traitor to the original spirit of our constitution!!!

ooh, but to OWS we are all trolls if we don't see things their way! They believe in censorship and name-calling to play down the opposition of the hardworking, ambitious citizens of society who disagree with whatever the OWS message is...

[-] -3 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

It's how they fool themselves into thinking they have the majority backing behind them. This is just the American left's last stand before the 2012 elections.

[-] 0 points by nineeightpercent (11) 12 years ago

I wouldn't go that far. I consider myself left-leaning, as do many of my friends, clients and co-wokers, and we disagree completely with what OWS has become. I don't think this has anything to do with left/right...in fact, with the number self-named anarchists in these protests, I would love to know exactly how many of them are even regisitered to vote.

[-] 1 points by MyHeartSpits (448) 12 years ago

Whose fault is it that the movement has become like this? Not that I agree with you.

[-] -2 points by RexDiamond (585) from Idabel, OK 12 years ago

I think you almost have it right. I don't think all on the left support it. However, the movement has been exclusively organized by the left. Just like I am not radical right, you are not radical left. OWS is among the radical element on the left.

I'm not sure how anyone could assume OWS has any support from the right.

[-] 1 points by nineeightpercent (11) 12 years ago

Still... "the left" isn't organizing, but ELEMENTS of the left are. To be fair, I do know some self-proclaimed righties who are all about OWS, but they're generally uninformed and habitually contrarian.

[-] 0 points by ikki5 (61) 12 years ago

Don't be too discouraged, anyone that disagrees with this movement in both a troll here and in real life to these people.

[-] 6 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

No. I have met a lot of people who do not 100% support this movement. They are reasonable enough to understand our government is not perfect and that neither is our system.

Even anyone who disagree should understand that the government, wall street, and the federal reserve are devaluing our US dollar.

Don't support this movement. Fine. but don't support the flawed system.

The trolls are people coming to this site for weeks spending all their free time spreading hate and trying to make OWS look bad.

I would never spend weeks on end trolling the GOP website because I have a life. Check it out to see whats up, that's fine. But I don't go around calling the opposition "yuppie scum" like the trolls call us "filthy hippies"

[-] -2 points by ikki5 (61) 12 years ago

"The trolls are people coming to this site for weeks spending all their free time spreading hate and trying to make OWS look bad. "

sorry, this statement caught my attention. OWS is making the police look bad themselves. they are posting videos calling police brutality when it was self inflicting wounds when the person ran away. OWS is bringing elderly (yes they may come by themselves) and Children to potentially dangerous situations.

[-] 3 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

you have no idea what you're talking about.

This is police brutality.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_f06VQOkI4

And these "men" beat women too. The police only have the right to fight people if they are threatened or it's in self defense. People not leaving is punishable by arrest, not brutality. Read the bill of rights.

Also these students pay to be able to be on that campus. They were not trespassing.

[-] -1 points by ikki5 (61) 12 years ago

ok, so police have some brutality, probably provoked but yes, However, Berkeley has a policy against allowing camping on campus and they were told to disperse and given more than enough time. Really, I have no pity for them

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

they weren't camping on the campus. Stop making assumptions. Officers cannot savagely beat women because they won't leave. They can arrest them and that is it. We have a constitution for a reason. You think you're better than our founding fathers of our country that wrote the constitution?

It's sad that you support police brutality. You seem to have no human compassion. Only the unloved hate. The unloved and the unnatural.

I'm sorry, but I don't want to be an emperor. That's not my business. I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. I should like to help everyone if possible; Jew, Gentile, black man, white. We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone, and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical; our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. The airplane and the radio have brought us closer together. The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men; cries out for universal brotherhood; for the unity of us all. Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, millions of despairing men, women, and little children, victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. To those who can hear me, I say, do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. Soldiers! Don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you, enslave you; who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel! Who drill you, diet you, treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines, you are not cattle, you are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don't hate! Only the unloved hate; the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers! Don't fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! In the seventeenth chapter of St. Luke, it is written that the kingdom of God is within man, not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people, have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy, let us use that power. Let us all unite. Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfill that promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to fulfill that promise. Let us fight to free the world! To do away with national barriers! To do away with greed, with hate and intolerance! Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men's happiness. Soldiers, in the name of democracy, let us all unite!

the trolls, provacatures, whatever you want to call the crime gang are being poisoned by way of air, food, water, drinks and their pensions will disappear too so I don't understand how they can choose to be so criminal against their own flesh and blood as well as not standing up for themselves with the movement. a political movement is legal. intimidation and scare tactics with beatings and any other form of control is really illegal just written as legal by a bunch of fear mongruls afraid of losing their own political positions. keep the movement going. better to live for what is right and die by it than live for what is wrong and die from it. eternity is watching anyway so fate rules.

Agreed. I thought this piece offered a good opportunity to expose the haters here to a "slightly" different perspective to their own, while enlisting their help to keep it visible in the forum. So far so good. :)

[-] 3 points by Omnibus (11) 12 years ago

Well, think about it. everyday critics and the news have to find a way to bend, pull, or crush the true about what's really going on here. which is that nothing is happening. nothing. were just killing time til they peg everyone as terrorists or as they like to put it when talking about Americans a "Threat" to the welfare of the economy. some bull-shit like that. that's what the media will do. no way to change or run from it, just know that we cannot be sidetracked and everyone be ready for the day when the rights we think we have, are gone. and we soon realize that we never had any. remember this quote from a man who didn't have to see it all of this. "The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments in a courthouse: You cannot post 'Thou shalt not steal,' 'Thou shalt not commit adultery,' and 'Thou shalt not lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment." (George Carlin)

America is that 3 years ago I was $50k in debt from a failed business I owner-operated and now I am out of debt with a $96k/year salary in a booming company I owner-operate.

[-] 2 points by OldLeftie (253) from Washington, DC 12 years ago

and how much do you owe to the stimulus package, pal? and Who's paying you the $96k if you're owner operator? And if 3 years ago your business failed, doesn't that mean that you were a victim of Bush's administration?

[-] 1 points by Danimal98367 (188) from Port Orchard, WA 12 years ago

I was a victim of poor choices BY ME only. I built my new business without the stimulus package, thank you very much. And I am paying myself $96k a year obviously.

[-] 0 points by NotYour99 (226) 12 years ago

Four and a half years ago I walked away from my own private practice that was earning me $100k a year and into a corporate practice that paid me $200k to do the same type of work. Today I'm earning 350k+ with them but NONE of it is salary. All my wages are based on my production alone. The harder I work, the more I get paid. We should all be paid like that. That's why I'm not their 99%, and there are a lot more of me out there.

1) OWS is OVER! 2) OWS doesn't have a message 3) OWS has not accomplished anything

Proof: 63% of Americans oppose you ( not 99) and only 28 support you. That's down from earlier weeks, and more in line with the percentage of radical leftists in this country. The fact that your movement is correlated with that voting block leaves me to wonder how you ever thought you represented the 99%. You my son have been duped.

[-] 1 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

"But a new poll today from the Public Religion Research Institute suggests something that national Dems should not lose sight of as the battle over Occupy Wall Street’s meaning continues: Americans agree with the basic critique of the system embodied by the movement.

It finds that 67 percent of Americans agree that government should do more to reduce the gap between rich and poor, which a large majority says is growing. Sixty nine percent favor hiking taxes on millionaires. Fifty seven percent favor eliminating tax breaks for corporations. Sixty seven percent oppose cutting federal programs that help the poor (though a large majority also says the poor are too dependent on government). A plurality, 48 percent, thinks the American Dream — that if you work hard, you’ll get ahead — no longer holds true. These general findings are borne out in many other polls. "

[-] 0 points by MisguidedYouth2 (165) 12 years ago

Well thank the Dems for all of it. Now if we can get back to capitalism and drop the socialism, those stats would reverse in direct proportion to first the anticipation, and second the realization of that event.

"what a fine string of signs and signifiers"

Carry on, my irrelevant friend.

[-] 0 points by Joyce (375) 12 years ago

Hence language, or, linguistically, for you.......oggga booga.......Oh, and not to indurate your logic further, but, it is border mean egotism (not in Thoreau's sense of the phrase) to assume the 99 percent, by default of the claims espoused here, wholeheartedly embraces "support the Occupy movement". I keep on reading and hearing about the 99 as though each and every 99 was on board.

[-] 1 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

You're lecturing me about ego(tism)? Please.

A secure intellectual doesn't feel the need to harp upon their supposed superiority. It's a sure sign of self-doubt, and couldn't be less attractive. What a foul creature you are.

You know, I've seen you do this several times, where you post some blather meant to prove your superiority. Every single time you've trotted out "anachronistically." Does that word have some special significance for you (besides perhaps reflecting your luddite fears of the modern world)?

"Sad and intellectually pathetic"? Seriously, what do you think you're proving? You might as well be talking about the size of your cock. Maybe that's the problem, Joyce.

Oh. Bunp.

[-] 0 points by Joyce (375) 12 years ago

Oh boy.......YAWN!!!! No, atavism is my favorite word...and you child, have proved me right again. For the record, my member and associated clan do just fine. Be well. Off to slumber. Looselyhuman......we are more likely, in reality, alike than kindred archetypal enemies.....I'm just sick of what I perceive as extreme elements invading what could be useful change. I have ideas that conflict what is espoused here, but, is in what in see is the best...if not perfect,,nor popular. I appreciate the banter even if it appears otherwise......I'll catch you tomorrow.."....

[-] 1 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

Atavistic tendencies, like the anachronistic desire to seek domination of the subhuman underclesses by an aristocratic/intellectual elite (superior clan)? Or, perhaps you're just referring to clan-oriented thinking in general?

No interest in any more of your ideas, thanks. But, sweet dreams.

Yes, Goebbels would surely not see your hateful, violent tendencies as a powerful resource to be harnessed through his propaganda and manipulated for his rabidly anti-communist, anti-egalitarian, anti-liberal, militaristic Nazi cause. Hmm.

[-] -1 points by MVSN (768) from Stockton, CA 12 years ago

LOL! And you fell right into it. Do you realize that every time you spout your nonsense you make yourself look like the immature idiot we all know you are? And yes I'm anti communist and anti liberal. You filth are the enemy of freedom and liberty. You are the enemy. And don't think for a minute that there will not be a reckoning in the near future. I guess we are living in those proverbial "interesting times".

[-] 2 points by looselyhuman (3117) 12 years ago

Yep. The brownshirts gonna cleanse the countryside of the evil liberals. That's definitely very American of you.

Right, we're subhuman filth. Like communists, trade-unionists, jews...

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

You are "they."

Anti-communism, and anti-liberalism are defining features of Nazi fascism. As is hatred and scapegoating, dehumanization and nationalism and militarism and VIOLENCE.

Do whatever you want, just don't expect to spout your delusions about who's a fascist, unchallenged,

lol, i love a good fight.

Bunch of whiney Obama followers who can't accept their Messiah is a fraud and a failure and NOW blame everything from wallstreet to cottage cheese for his Lack of ability to even have the slightest clue.

By going STRAIGHT to the problem OWS protesters would have to do the ONE thing that would kill them, that's Admit they were wrong and Everyone who warned them was right. NEVER HAPPEN They would rather Destroy this Nation than EVER eat that crow.

Admitting one is wrong is something that separates the men from the boys and by showing their asses on national TV they have made it That much harder for themselves to take that growing step.

eventually OWS will beat around the bush until it lands near congress then claim it was where they started the Whole while but the Evil corporations were distorting the truth.

pathetic really

The Only Thing That Is Pathetic Here Is ... just how far up your cat's (x) your head is 'tom' !!

WTF has OWS got to do with Obomber ?

FOR A DOCUMENTARY FILM THAT WILL CLARIFY THE EXTENT OF THE LARCENY OF THE ) 0.1% & FOR AN INSIGHT INTO THE IMPOVERISHMENT OF THE 99%, WATCH "INSIDE JOB" NARRATED BY MATT DAMON, FOR A TRUE ANALYSIS.

RE. THE FILM 'INSIDE JOB', SEE : http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article28189.htm . "It's a powerhouse of a documentary that will leave you both thunderstruck and boiling with rage." ... and which neatly encapsulate OWS's whole raison d'etre.
