This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Tea Party protesters think the UN is trying to steal their freedoms with United Nations Agenda 21, which is the UN plan for dealing with global warming and the environment; a sustainable future for the world's populations.

Daily Kos: Heritage Institute launches campaign comparing climate change 'believers' to murderers, tyrants

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/05/04/1088825/-Heritage-Institute-launches-campaign-comparing-climate-change-believers-to-murderers-tyrants

[-] 1 points by CSFSP (15) from Centennial, CO 11 years ago

What is the plan to neutralize them? I despise these people that are working against the 99% and for the 1% and act like they are patriots.

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 12 years ago

Here's how big the problem is that is caused by TEA BAGGART Climate deniers. As disaster looms they believe it is all a fairy tale and sick lie that scientista make up. We already know they have disregard for anything scientific. (Evolution) Read this quote which summarizes very well what looms on the horizon:

..................................TED2012: What's next for planet earth?

"We've started a process that is out of humanity's control. The economic consequences are almost unthinkable. And....devastatingly, the total extinction of hundreds of species. The tragedy about climate change is that we can solve it. Instead of subsidizing Big Oil, we should put put on an escalating fee on the carbon collected from fossil fuel companies, an idea first proposed by republicans pre-Tea Party. This would stimulate the economy and lead to a clean energy future."

"But instead our governments are foricng the public to subsidise fossil fuels by every means possible. This path if continued guarantees that we will pass tipping points leading to events that are out of control. It's immoral and has to be stopped"

"Climate change is "like a giant asteroid that's on course to hit earth. And the longer we wait the more difficult and expensive it becomes."

What does that have to do with what I posted?

[-] 1 points by Puzzlin (2898) 12 years ago

Everything idiot. But your IQ will never allow you to understand, obviously.

Your name fits your IQ, not sure how you lucked onto that such a low IQ. Obviously you did it without any intention. That makes you a very funny guy. :D LMAO -- thanks for the laughs without even trying. I guess that really is the beauty in what you do. I'm sure your serious and that makes this hilarious.

Keep going Mr. Chugawanker.....:D

[-] 1 points by epa1nter (4650) from Rutherford, NJ 12 years ago

Neither giving power to the UN nor keeping it in corporate hands, as it is now, is appropriate.

[-] 1 points by beautifulworld (23774) 12 years ago

And their own shadows are chasing them, too. Seriously, what a fear mongering mob the Tea Party is.

[-] 3 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

You said it. They are like hysterical chidren that haven't been potty trained. Really, it's a spectacle. I wonder what would happen to them if they ever faced real problems? But they won't, they're afraid to, and so they just go on with their hysterical ranting.

I'm starting to think we need to create a new field, social psychiatry.

[-] 2 points by Puzzlin (2898) 12 years ago

It's fueled by anger and hate. I think many times we do tend to look at these words at face value. The TPs of which some are here (because their drawn like flies to light) and they do come off as largely inept. The emotion they feel as their finger tips hit the keys is over-riding their ability to reason very well and, worse, their writing many times is incoherent and mostly it's repeats of those lies Hannity, Rushboy, and Beck throw onto airwaves for the right winged nut jobs so they can keep their propaganda straight, I mean their narrative straight so ALL TP Pe'er's get that P line straight. Their amazing at how they can eat the same s__ and come off with that same dance every time.

I think we'll have laugh at them more often. Especially if we hand most of them pink slips in November. We'll remember them fondly as we laugh about how if we ever decided to follow them we would have left America in ruins along with the entire planet. Not only would they allow the middle class slip into oblivion but since they believe global warming is a fairy tale, they would make largest polluter of the planet decide it was good business to pollute even more and MAKE MORE MONEY.

This is what TP Baggarts desire to do with our world. The money grubbers love the TP crowd. They helped start them and they help maintaining them. More money for the rich, slash and burn the social programs including Social Security, health care, all of it. Gut them, and let them bleed out. While they bleed out they'll say, see, we told ya, they were NO GOOD.

[-] -1 points by hoot (313) 11 years ago

I don't agree with the tea party by any means, but your hypocrisy is disgusting. You talk of how the TP is fueled by hate and fear mongering, yet you're afraid of a theory (that may or may not be true) coming true so afraid that you would like to give control of our lives to the UN.

You sit on your computers badmouthing the other side of the same coin.

[-] 1 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 11 years ago

So true, and to boot, it's the only tactic the TPs have. Truth runs from them as fast as it can.

[-] 2 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 11 years ago

There it is. I heard it. Sometimes when we really understand it then becomes so simple and clear. We only arrive at these wonderful truths after our work is done. Each of us has to do it singularly. Then the light appears once more.

Thanks BeautifulWorld, we struck cord there, the beautiful wave that came out rang with truth abundant.

This resurrected thread initially coincided with the start of a very special time in my personal life but alas actually far more importantly & 'fyi' - a very interesting, more recent take on matters 'green' & their more wider societal ramifications, from an 'Occupy' activist from Portland, Oregon & which I think you'll enjoy :

pax, amor et lux ...

[-] 1 points by beautifulworld (23774) 11 years ago

From this excellent article: "Obama’s proposal came straight from the mouth of U.S. corporations, who wanted to ensure that there was zero accountability, zero oversight, zero climate progress, and therefore no dent to their profits."

It's time to start listening to folks who see the need to put the human race and the planet in front of profits.

Global warming has been debunked over and over again. Sorry Al Gore supporters

[-] 4 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

You had better go back to school, almost all reputable scientists, including the bulk of NASA scientists, overwhelmingly support the notion of global warming.

In fact NASA even has a website that draws a graphic description of current climate destruction degree by degree: http://climate.nasa.gov/ At least attempt to educate yourself in a rudimentary fashion before making claims that are basically only supported by slack-jawed simians and prostitute scientists like Fred Singer. He may as well dress in tights and stand on street corners selling his services to the highest bidders.

[-] -3 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

The only "reputable scientist" that support Global warming are the ones working for their henchman dumb ass Gore

[-] 2 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

I see that you hit your head when you fell off the turnip truck.

I gave you a link to one of the world's leading scientific sites: NASA. I'm sure compared to you, they pale in reasoning ability, but bandage up your knuckles; they must be raw from dragging them as you walk, and get on with your dissertations.

[-] -1 points by bearclaw (-152) 11 years ago

Here is a link for you from one of your favorite places in the World!!!! Huff post http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/11/nasa-global-warming-letter-astronauts_n_1418017.html

[-] 2 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

Of course don't rely on NASA's own website, to which I pointed you. Perhaps I could grab your hairy paw and lead you there.

Here's a whole list of links, including another one from Huffington Post: http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/science/topics/globalwarming/index.html http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/29/richard-muller-climate-change-humans-koch_n_1715887.html http://www.nrdc.org/globalWarming/f101.asp?gclid=CNqk7fz0v7ECFWIGRQodVUkAjg http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/globalwarming.html http://www.climatehotmap.org/

Notice that at least one of these is another government website NOAA, I realize that all these scientists that contradict--Who did you say? Oh, you didn't.--the prostitute scientists, like Fred Singer, who fought with tobacco companies to prove the safety of their products, just don't have the scientific wherewithal of--Who did you say? Oh, you didn't.--the unknown experts you claim have--What did you write, Oh yes,--who have "debunked" global warming.

I know that among simians global warming is not a concern, but for reasonable human beings, who rely on scientific data and not chicken bones or voodoo, it's a real concern.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Having fun with the pastry worshiper BC ?

[-] 2 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

A little bit; can't help but take a shot now and then, especially for people, who claim that global warming has been "debunked." What? The nearly 97% of reputable scientists that accept the global warming premise are somehow all Al Gore's buddies.

I don't care about Al Gore. I care about the solid science that says the earth is warming, and that the pace is accelerating.

[-] 1 points by marvelpym (-184) 11 years ago
[-] 1 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

Some evidence does point the other way, but the vast majority of scientists, including the bulk of glaciologists and climatologists, believe the earth is inexorably and definitely warming, because the evidence at hand supports the theory.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Amazing what fossil fuel supporters/shills will try to get away with.

[-] 1 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

Yes, let me see: "Professor Whozit from Podunk University in southern Alabama today ridiculed his peers in an article called, 'Fossil Fuel Air Conditions the Atmosphere." He bases his hypothesis on the fact that fossil fuel emissions expand as they rise into the atmosphere, obviously producing a refrigerant effect. At this point, however, he has no evidence to substantiate his claims."

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

But see the thing is down there - his BS might well be bought by a large uneducated population. His problems start when people who have had an education and can actually think come across his Bullshit.

[-] 0 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

Alabama is considering a new tagline for license plates: I'm the proud parent of a third-grade graduate.

[-] -1 points by TitusMoans (2451) from Boulder City, NV 11 years ago

Why do you think I ask everyone to share things out on different social media - even on the same media I have used already? Because then that material reaches a wider audience immediately - but it also creats secondary listings that can be found by accident when people do searches on the internet.

Cool - Huh?

WHY "DKATODAY" SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM THE OCCUPY WALL STREET FORUM & OWS MOVEMENT

According to this document, the Occupy Wall Street forum is infested with pro-regime partisan propagandists, and "DKAtoday" is one of their leaders:

http://pastebin.com/9bLFYdFZ

The former assertion is irrefutable, but the latter we question. If DKAtoday is an Obamapologist plant like Factsrfun admits he is, he is not a very good one. Virtually all of his posts are either impotent and uninspiring slacktivism or the ad hominem personal attacks of a troll. A troll DKAtoday certainly is, but a planted propagandist perhaps not.

DKAtoday is a liar, not a leader. We have seen that evidenced in exchanges like this one:

BUSTED! DKAtoday claimed he was too broke to drive 500 miles to Chicago for the NATO protests, but admits here he has plenty of cash for 32-inch monitors and Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Beds. If there is an award for wannabes/posers, the lying little Prick wins it hands down!

http://occupywallst.org/forum/raise-the-minimum-wage-to-10-an-hour/#comment-757926

BUSTED AGAIN! DKAtoday claimed he bought a PC in 2002 that CAME with a 32-inch monitor? Scan and post the invoice, LIAR. 32-inch LCD monitors weren't mass-marketed before 2005.

http://occupywallst.org/forum/raise-the-minimum-wage-to-10-an-hour/#comment-757934

BUSTED YET AGAIN! In one post DKAtoday claimed claimed the 32-inch monitor came with the PC he bought in 2002. He now says he did not take the monitor that came with that PC. So was Dan lying THEN or is he lying NOW? There is no third alternative.

http://occupywallst.org/forum/raise-the-minimum-wage-to-10-an-hour/#comment-757948

When challenged DKAtoday displays cowardice, not courage. If he feels threatened on the forum, he runs to moderator Jart and seeks to hide behind her skirts. If he perceives the threat to be IRL, he labels the alleged actor as a "terrorist" and openly calls for him or her to be arrested and done away with by Big Brother's modern-day Gestapo, e.g.:

"[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (9870) from Coon Rapids, MN 9 minutes ago"

"Yeah? well whoever the hell you have been bothering I hope has contacted the police and I hope they track you down - FBI - federal offense - you may get disappear'ed for being a terrorist under the determination of Homeland Security laws."

http://occupywallst.org/forum/abuse-report-sent-to-the-forum-site/#comment-776267

I ask you: Would any true believer in what Occupy Wall Street stands for wish such a fate on anyone? Would any real revolutionary? Would any principled activist?

OF COURSE NOT.

These are the words of a Quisling collaborator, not an OWS protester or supporter. Arrest calls like DKAtoday's are made by fearmongering fascists, not fearless freedom fighters. They have no place in our forum - or our movement.

This is why DKAtoday should be permanently banned from both.

Unless you are a climatologist, you have no clue. Each side of the arguement has people trying to profit off it, thus creating bias.

We have no clue what the facts are. Its damn near impossible.

Regardless of what is happening to the climate, people are people.

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Please. almost 100% of the scientists who know support the theory that we are making the climate warmer.

We ignore at our own peril. Do not believe the polluters. believe the scientists and those who advocate for a clean environment.

[-] 1 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

I dont believe either one, because on one side they want money and on the other they want power.
And that was a big reason for signing GATT to ship our factories overseas.
Could we be warming the climate? Yes. Could this be another scam to gain more control over us? Yes.

Ive seen scientists present facts that support it, denounce it, and then even some that claim we are in a cooling period.

As far as NASA goes, they are getting their funding slashed like never before. Im sure they wouldnt mind putting a few graphs on their websites to help out the cause if it meant a few more billion a year.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

Lol. Thats funny. Sounds like your reaching. Also sounds a little paranoid. Who wants power? Are they tryin to take power from the fossil fuel corps.? Wouldn't that be long overdue.?

How about if the people make the politicians put big oil out of business and create a robust non polluting alternative energy industry.?

Hows that for people power?

[-] 0 points by hchc (3297) from Tampa, FL 11 years ago

The politicians will never do that.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 11 years ago

No. Big oil will around a long time. But they see the writing on the war. They all have some kinda greenwash program to appease fence sitters, and they are spending a lot of resource s to shut down all alternative energy.

They even have shills on these forums to spread their positions.

Imagine that.

You should put this in a post - something like truth you can learn.

Then twitter it ( the post ). People please do the same with good information and good sites for good information. Feed the public good food for thought.

Outreach education and the fostering of awareness.

Communications are essential.

Even if something has already been tweeted - tweet it again - it shows more support - it shows more than one individual is interested in this information - it shows a wide spread interest/concern. It keeps a topic in the public eye and may well inspire curiosity to see what it is all about.
