  • Let's be honest:

  • Republicans looked like a hero when the Bush Tax Cuts were instituted.

  • But we have not yet paid for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

  • The Bush Tax Cuts failed to provide "trickle down" benefits.

  • The Bush Tax Cuts failed to stimulate the economy.

  • The Bush Tax Cuts failed to create jobs.

  • The war in Iraq was Bush's War-of-Choice.

  • The Bush War in Iraq diverted troops from Afghanistan, thereby raising the costs of that war.

  • Experts say that the war in Afghanistan and Iraq will likely cost more than three trillion dollars when we pay for the wars, pay to restock our military units, and pay to care for our wounded warriors.

  • We need a "War Tax"

  • We need to tax those who profited from the wars

How about we try ending the wars as well? Wouldnt that make more sense , rather than deciding to keep funding them?

End the wars, clean house, fire every person in congress, mta, close 100% of loopholes, fresh start.

  • How about dealing with the costs of the last two wars?

  • Those costs are already on the nation's credit card!

  • The estimated $3 trillion cost is a huge part of the nation's existing deficit.

  • Sure, let's be smarter about sending troops into another war.

  • Let's make sure that future war decisions are driven by national security interests, not financial interests of Halliburton.

  • But let's pay off the old wars.

  • Lets have the people who profited from those wars pony up.

  • It is un-American to pass those costs onto our children, or to cut services to people who have not profited from those wars.
