The Suffragettes who demanded the right to vote in England had a slogan:

Deeds Not Words

Emily Davison gave her life at a horse race on June 4, 1913; and yet the Representation of the People Act granting women the right to vote in England did not pass until 1928.

I remember seeing the video when I was in school. The youtube clip doesn't do it justice. The movie quality still wasn't all that great, but it appeared perfectly deliberate. There is at least one online essayist who attempts to cast doubt on that. I don't think there is any question.

If we intend to succeed we must present a sustained, uncompromising, highly creative, engaging and disruptive movement of vocal unrest and civil disobedience.

We must be clear in our goals, transparent in our methods, and we must carefully define anything that approaches the libertarian point of view, and anything that extends beyond our definition must be quickly cut off and the reason why that is so should be completely obvious - libertarians come with lies and deceit on behalf of private sector kingships who know no allegiance to the people.

Yes. Yes, they do.

I know some individuals who have bought into that line of lies. I cut them right out of my life. I don't have time, not for them, not for their bullshit. Not that they are bad people. They are just stupid people, and I do not have time.

Ya. I agree. Lots of stupid puppet people. That said, when we have so many people that are dying or harmed immensely from that stupidity....they are bad people.

I may resent their stupidity, and I do - but I don't necessarily find that it is their fault. The social construct is such that it enables this kind of erroneous thinking. So if anyone is to blame, I blame the social engineers -

  • newspaper guys

  • television anchor men

  • television as a whole

there must be others I haven't thought of

PR firms.

Ou, nice. Of course.

And lawyers, they shape our society through the court system.

And lets not forget those pesky conservative activist judges . . . .

And every single politician that operates on the premise that if you tell the same lie often enough people will begin to believe it . . .

Shows ta go ya that Mittens is not a politician - OH he is very willing to lie - and lies with a smile ( approximation of a smile anyway ) at every single opportunity even when there is no need for a lie - he just can't stick to the same lie - even if he just got done delivering it.

I don't know - but the more I look at that race - the more I figure that the Corp(se)oRATists & Corp(se)oRATions didn't want Mittens to win.

That is really the only thing that makes sense. What is even worse - is - the number of people that appear to have voted for him.

You could be right, I'm not sure. But if so it's likely because of where the economy was in the run up to the election. You watch - in the runup to 2016 you will hear how the dems fucked the economy up and how it is still all fukced up and how conservative policy will save us.

It is quite likely there was a lack of real fire on their part - but as to actually throwing the election, there is the issue of mittens own ego. And if you consider the wealth that he syphoned from among his peers for his campaign you can plainly see that there was support among them.

So if there is or was someone else pulling the strings they are a small minority, operating on a very subtle and completely clandestine manner - otherwise those one percenters would not have thrown their wealth away.

Even at the horse race, I'm sure the owners and the backers really want to win, unless the fix is in and then if it is, the fixer still requires everyone else to remain ignorant - other wise the odds skew and the return on investment slips.

Good points - so - growing insanity of the Corp(se)oRATists it is. That also makes a lot of sense - as Mittens is a Corp(se)oRAT through and through.
