Dear Protesters, I think you are going about this all wrong, If you really want the 1 % to hear you, you should start speaking their language. All they understand is $$$$$$$: that being said, how quick would they be willing to listen if we (the people) stopped feeding them. what if we could organize the people to protest their bills until we were heard? (credit cards, mortgage, car payments, school loans, etc)

Agreed. But people are very scared because they like their stability. I think they'll only join the bandwagon, unfortunately, if enough people are doing it.

Some of these people have a family and are overwhelmed.

Agree. This is going to take a while... but a great many analysts are predicting that the economy is going ro get worse and worse, and I suspect this is going to convince more and more Americans that THEY TOO must jump on the bandwagon.

Quite frankly, I expect A TSUNAMI will be unleashed... and will wash away the whole corrrupt-to-the core System that threatens the very survival of this nation.

Yes, it will. Until it disrupts our daily illusion (for most, this has already happened), then they will act. We, most of humanity, are kinda procrastinators.

Yeah, I've been having dreams and gut feelings that it's going to get worse before it gets better. But I think this is needed to happen, on a global and large scale, for the betterment of our kind.

"We, most of humanity, are kinda procrastinators" : that is SO TRUE! Things have to get CRITICAL before we finally decide to budge...

"I've been having dreams and gut feelings that it's going to get worse before it gets better" : I like to talk with spiritual teachers and many of them are saying exactly that - things are going to get VERY difficult... we will lose much of the material comfort we are used to in the West.... we will have to get used to a much simpler life, with far fewer cars, gadgets and assorted luxuries.... And yet, opportunities will arise for a NEW BIRTH of humanity which will offer us true peace and joy.

I do alot of meditations and speak to my spirit guide about these things. Most of the wisdom that is transfered is beyond my limited understanding, but the gist I'm getting is that we are a primitive culture that is currently awakening. There is a positive and a negative climax that is working up. I really hope the positive one, which is our global consciousness awakening, that is the one to prevail.

A very good book I can recommend to you is "The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight"

The negative polarity that is also progressing is our regression to simplicity, but in a non-advanced way. If our technology surpasses the level of awareness and advanced thinking, it will catalize a destruction. Globally or nationally.

Also, we are putting way too many chemicals into our Earth and She is responding. Only naturally, of course.

"We are a primitive culture that is currently awakening" : I'm often struck by how IMMATURE we are as a species... Not EVIL, but immature, ignorant of the most basic laws of life. Take greed, for instance : shouldn't we have realized by now that it's NOT the path to joy?

Thanks for the book recommendation. I just checked it out on Amazon and it's certainly garnered great reviews.

We have. I don't like to attach judgments to assessments, so I use 'primitive' alot to describe our developmental stage. I think we have already figured out what is wrong, but very deep down to some of us. We see the contradiction in what we want and what is actually happening.

People deny, deny, deny. They don't want to find themselves as dependable sources of truth so they look to others. They don't see that what we term 'right', 'wrong', 'good', or 'bad' changes by the second with our attitude.

It'll give you alot of insight and ways to help out the Earth. That's another thing I like about the book. It's not just negative, pointing fingers, there's-no-solution kind of thing.

Until people see that our geopolitical, social, and trading issues are really spiritual issues, we won't do much progress.

But it's okay. The bad sometimes has to happen for the good. On a larger scale, these past thousands of years are a blink of an eye to the Universe.

Guys, we are missing the point here. If we are 99%, why the hell do we need the 1% to listen to us. To hell with them. This is still almost a democracy and majority rules. We need to regroup and get organized so we can fight back effectively. Otherwise we wont accomplish anything. I feel like a modern day Paul Revere.

So your plan is to blow off your financial resonsibilities?

[-] 1 points by alexxela (1) 12 years ago

you really want to talk about responsibilities?????? most of the american people are very respectful of their financial responsibilities by playing/paying by the rules and what do we get for that? the worst financial crisis in ages. my point is why not let the bank world get a taste of their own med.... see how much they like it
