Yes end contract captivity. The bait and switch, the double rate increase after introductory period. The communications industry needs some serious reigning in. Telecommunications, cable, satellite. FCC where are you? Attorney general where are you?

I agree. Remove ALL CONTRACTS from ALL loans, and from ALL lease and rental agreements too. Screw the slumlord bastards.

I've used a prepaid cell for awhile for the simple fact I didn't want locked into a contract. Good luck on the utility deposit though, esp if you have bad credit to start with.

I think even you'd be surprised by all the 'hidden fees' out there. It's rampant.

One good thing about a prepaid cell phone - is the fact that the days remaining on your contract are posted as well as the number of minutes you have remaining.
