I just saw a YouTube Vid of some absolute idiots at the OWS protest in NYC....if that is the message coming from the protest then the organizers should really reconsider just what the message is they're trying to convey.

The protesters were wearing decent clothes, wearing watches and rings and things, they had various types of electronic gadgets and yet they were lauding North Korea as an ideal Socialist Society. They were raging against profits and yet it is profits that make all those things, including the food we eat, the cars we drive, the clothes we wear, the watches we wear and all the electronic gadgets we enjoy possible.

The focus should be on the Government's Patronage System which creates a type of Corporatism that brings about a disparity in the ability to create wealth among the People. The real 1% is the Government, it is the largest corrupt corporation in existence and it is the source of the disparity taking place in this country, it has created a vampire economy that siphons off both prosperity and opportunity, creating in its wake, a system that amounts to peonage, redistribution of wealth and energy through an intentional monetary system that depreciates the currency so the People work for what is essentially pennies on the dollar, but this benefits those who are first at the fiat money trough, those corporate entities which are under the government's patronage system.

Under this government's patronage system, it has allowed for the privatization of profits and through the bailouts, it has socialized the risks of those who participate in the government's patronage system.

Government is the source of the problems, it is rarely the solution...it's solutions become problems which require more government solutions which always become more problems.

Agreed. The system is broken, but you cannot expect the system to fix itself without a revolution. Bigger government just means more chance for corruption and abuse of power.

Just know that when you donate you are donating to a communist network. Fight to prevent OWS from being co-opted!

http://www.nycga.net/how-to-help/ "You can also mail a check or money order to the Alliance for Global Justice. Please indicate “Occupy Wall Street” in the memo line. Alliance for Global Justice 1247 “E” Street, SE Washington, DC 20003 Or CALL at 202-544-9355 to make a telephone donation.""

Then go here: http://afgj.org/ "The Alliance for Global Justice (AfGJ) and its predecessor and founder, the Nicaragua Network, have been well-known grassroots organizations within the Central and Latin America solidarity movement and the anti-corporate globalization movement for over three decades. For probably 25 years we’ve used our 501(c)(3) non-profit tax status to fiscally sponsor projects that do not have their own tax-exempt status."

Then here: http://www.nicanet.org/ "The Nicaragua Network has been organizing in solidarity with the people of Nicaragua for over 30 years. In February of 1979, the Network was founded to support the popular struggle to overthrow the 45 year US-supported Somoza family dictatorship, and after the July 19 victory, to support the efforts of the Sandinista Revolution to provide a better life for the nation’s people. Thus, for over a quarter of a century, the Network has been a leading organization in the United States committed to social and economic justice for Nicaragua, Latin America and the world, based on respect for sovereignty and self-determination. The Network advocates for sound U.S. foreign policies that respect human rights and international law. The Nicaragua Network provides information and organizing tools to a network of 200 solidarity, sister city, and peace and justice committees across the U.S."
